well, from what I can tell, when chubb has been out, in terms of points per game very similar to JT. While Ford has been pretty decent. though I think if the Colts get ahead, we will see a lot more of JT than weve seen thus far and the matchup is right. Browns on the other hand are more of a dumpster fire, so playing from behind more. I think I'd go with JT on this one. though I can totally see why you are tempted by the Ford play.

I think Tua will probably be fine. though if both Waddle and Hill are out you may want to pivot to someone else. Purdy also has players hurt so Not sure how much better he is. but If both Hill and Waddle are out I would strongly consider Purdy in that scenario.

hes a nice insurance policy in case Kamara cannot play. nothing more. if Kamara is in, I dont see him getting much play. dude still needs to learn the playbook so I am not expecting much.

what made this happen was the penalty for fair catch interference which brought them into the range of the kicker. and with literally no time on the clock why not give it a try. most times if you have time on the clock you would attempt to score the TD so this type of play usually only happens at the end of a half or end of a game. in this case it happened at the end of the half with no time to run another play, so the fair catch free kick is actually a better option than doing a traditional field goal because there is no chance the kick gets blocked.

so the question is..... how has penix looked in camp? does anyone know how productive hes likely to be? its a nice matchup. any predictions?

Wasnt mooney fighting off an injury as well? wouldnt surprise me if this played a role even if its a minor one.

well, 2 of the last 3 games are what I'd consider to be soft opponents. so if you are gonna make a move like this, the timing is right. I am a bit surprised given that they won this week and are in a playoff race, but I'm guessing Penix has impressed in practice. It will be interesting to see how this goes.....

dont get me wrong, I dont think anyone was predicting hed start. but I feel hes good enough to be rostered by an NFL team. That said, I do think that Hunt made him expendable. Hunt has been pretty decent.

I was hoping for a big game. and dont get me wrong, it wasnt bad. but I had hopes that hed put up some points in the second half. Thats normally the way it goes when you are killing the clock and have a lead. But it did not work out that way. the vast majority of his points came on those first 2 drives of the game. very little came after that, and the fumble was a killer.

yeah, you are not kidding. I actually wanted to draft him but every draft I was in someone drinking the kool aid took him early. he even went #1 overall in one of my drafts. Too rich for my blood. (not like I had a choice) but I actually thought he was gonna have a real nice year. but the whole team seemed to implode and I'm not exactly sure what the cause was.

poor kid. hes now at the point where he will be lucky to ever be a starter. 2x ACL tear is bad news.

I guess time will tell. we also dont know how serious the infraction is. I think Baltimore is a no nonsense organization so maybe more strict than other teams on rules and such. but I cannot say for sure. that said, an infraction serious enough to warrant a 1 game suspension should be considered serious enough.

well, I wouldnt be inclined to pay someone who has been hit or miss production wise, and if hes being suspended for conduct detrimental to the team I think that may be enough to scare a lot of teams away. though as someone earlier said..... it only takes one team willing to overlook that. but if signing a guy like that, the guaranteed amount likely needs to be small. I'd be like, I'll give you a good contract, but little to no guaranteed money. so if you misbehave, I can just cut you.

that was a weird one. Bills D has been good all year and then suddenly they get torn apart by the Rams. Though the Rams occasionally get lightning in a bottle even vs good teams but I didnt see this coming.

well, you cant count on NFL teams being smart, but I do think they get a compensatory pick. but maybe not as large a pick as some would seem to think they'd get. for that reason alone, they may keep him on the roster unless hes so disruptive that they figure they are better off without him. but if that happens, he (as a player) likely has far bigger problems than most of us know about.

true. I'm sure his agent will read him the riot act and he will be on his best behavior for the rest of the season. (at least.... if hes smart.... no guarantee of that)

at the age of 28 his career shouldnt be over, but he does get injured a lot so you could be right. And for whatever reason San Fran seems to have more than their fair share of injuries. Not sure if thats because of the quality of the turf or if its more a training/work managment issue with the coaches and training staff. either way, he may put up one more big year if he can keep good health. Personally I wouldnt bet on it unless he fell significantly in the draft. but I'm more injury averse than many out there. for that reason I never really got burnt on the Tua injury. I didnt have much in the way of shares of that offense.
