    Am I crazy

good point. Rice being out of the lineup does not help the pass game. Probably means Kelce gets more looks, so if you are a Kelce owner you should be happy. but Mahomes isnt the set it and forget it QB of past years. I do think the offense gets on track eventually but not while they have half their WR out with injuries (hollywood is out too)

    Absolute deep flyer? D. Cook??

well, the way the Dallas RB have been playing he will get a shot to prove he can still play. admittedly part of the problem is the line has not been as good as they have been in the past couple years. so changing the RB wont resolve the issues with that part of the run game, but it may give a spark. I do think hes worth a pickup. I personally have one team that has been decimated with injuries and I'd love to have a Dalvin cook to stash on my bench. if at some they announce he will start he may be worth sticking in your lineup if your starters are out like what I'm dealing with in that one league. but yeah, hes mostly a flex play I'd bet. but hes not so old that he cannot be productive so if hes in great shape, there is the chance he can do this provided the line can perform at a reasonable level.
  3. It will work for some teams. but admittedly there are a lot of teams that are ill equipped to deal with a stacked power run game. but you cant just let Henry get 199 yards rushing on you. you gotta do what you can to stop that from happening. so teams will try to stack the box. Run blitz on first down. I think they'd be dumb not to. there will still be select matchups where Henry's game wont be as good, but that's to be expected. This is when the other parts of the passing game will start to click more. I dont know if it will ever be as good as it was last year or the years prior but it will improve.
  4. I think the problem is that Henry has been so good they have not needed to throw the ball nearly as much as they have in the past. I do think this will resolve itself. as teams gear up to stop the power run game that will open things up in the rest of the offense. that adjustment will take some time but it will happen. if you are concerned about him, you can pick up another TE for a week or two but I dont think dropping him is the answer. hes a hold for now. I dont have him in any leagues as he was too expensive to acquire in the leagues I was in but I still think he will deliver value for you if you have the patience to wait.

    Leggete

as long as Dalton Remains at QB, he will put up at least reasonable numbers. inevitably they may sit Dalton to put Young back in. That is likely the time to drop him (but you do wanna at least wait to see if young has learned anything before dropping) so my guess is hes good for a handful of games. not 100% sure how long Dalton stays in there. but the offense looks a whole lot better with him at the controls.

    Dontayvian Wicks

well, it looks like its time to hop on the train. 5 catches 78 yards and 2 TD for Wicks. lots of targets and some missed throws on Loves part. now that Watson is out a few games, this is his chance to make an impact. if hes gonna step up and be a player, the time is NOW. I recommend you get him while the price is good. (hes on the wire in most leagues so cost is free or a handful of FAAB dollars)

UPDATE: Davante Adams Traded To The Jets

yeah, he and Carr are best buds from college. when Carr got moved, I figured it was only a matter of time til Adams bailed too.

    Players you can drop

I picked him up on the wire this week. but not because I love him. I also own Mattison and my team is thin at RB since Pacheco got hurt. if a better opportunity comes up I have no issue with dropping the guy. I am just trying to cover the bases while Pacheco is out.

    Players you can drop

honestly, the line has not been what its been in the past either. I think that is at least half of the problem.

    Kenneth Walker 3rd

I think Charb still gets at least 8 to 10 touches. (unless the Seahawks are losing big by half time) but I do love Bucky's upside potential

    Chiefs Running Backs

maybe. but It doesnt look like hes there. no carries last game. for now, I think Steele was good enough. I think they will give him another shot this week. he started slow, but late in the game all that rugged running started to take its toll on the defense. he became more effective as it got later in the game.

    JK Dobbins.. ROS outlook

I was thinking the very same thing just yesterday. I dont know that any RB has come back from this injury to put up RB1 numbers EVER. so if he does it is a first. I know there is a new surgical technique for achilles that seems to have better results than what was done prior to this time. I think Akers was the first to have this done. results with Akers were mixed at best but I'd argue he didnt have the same talent as Dobbins.

    Andy Dalton love thread

I loved Fitzmagic as a player. but yeah I get it. bottom line: the QB play is limited by the talent on the team and the fact that the team as a whole is not very good. even in a 2 QB superflex format, you do not start any offensive players against any top Defense. Regardless of who is at QB
  14. well, he sure was bad this last game. Nobody will argue that point. Though the coach made some dumb calls too which doesnt help
  15. this makes the most sense to me. Probably a good bet.

    Andy Dalton love thread

honestly, this is the most important point to consider. the team is really not that good. so sitting their young QB might actually be a good thing. keeping him in there is likely going to ruin him as a QB prospect. They really need to invest in the line. It sounds like they made some fixes, but it does take time for a line to learn to play together effectively. The first couple games were not great. I never saw the Dalton game but I'm betting the line performed better in that particular game. but keep in mind the opponent was weaker too. That helps.

    It is NOT Tua time......

I think its more than just about the coach. its about legalities too. if the doc says he can play and he gets hurt, the doc, the team and whoever else approved it can be sued for an awful lot of money. I'm pretty sure the lawyers are in there giving a whole lot of advice on this. it may even come down to a situation where Tua has to sign a document saying he wont sue the team if he gets hurt (or something of the like) at the end of the day, the fear of being sued is likely the driving factor here. but the hardest part as a fantasy owner is knowing how badly he was hurt. all they are saying is he has a concussion. but the severity of the concussion is likely the largest factor in determining if he is able to return sooner or later. but Tua has had a fairly serious concussion already so even a minor one can keep him out a number of weeks. while it did not look like an overly vicious hit his neck was bent in a bit of an awkward direction at the time it happened and that likely is why he got the concussion this time around. That and the fact that he had a serious one before. once you have a couple concussions it becomes easier to have another. this hit may not have even given a QB a concussion(or maybe gave a mild grade 1 concussion) to someone who was fully healthy with no prior history of concussions. but its Tua and hes had a history. so I do think they will tread carefully (as they should) but in the interim, his ability to play is highly speculative at this time.

    Andy Dalton love thread

more like this seasons Flacco. he will have good weeks and bad. but more good than bad I think. The line still needs to improve before that offense is going to have any level of consistency but Dalton can make it at least passable. but there will be good and bad weeks.
  19. I'd say at least a couple. but McVay tends to be tight lipped about this sort of thing. good luck to anyone trying to figure this out.

MNF Discussion: Jaguars @ Bills - Week 3

yeah, thats the advantage of having a physical WR. they dont let that sort of thing happen to them

    Charbonnet and Walker

Well, when I watched , it is clear that there are things Walker does that Charbonnet does not. (at least not yet) so I think Walker is still the lead dog and I dont think that situation changes. (at least not this year) granted i've been wrong on this sort of thing before but I just have not seen anything in Charbs game that screams at me that hes special. hes good but not excellent

    Players you can drop

I'd agree. I've been targetting him late in drafts and that is finally starting to pay some dividends. first game was rough, but after that hes looked pretty good. in fact, hes looked at times like he may actually be the #1 WR in that offense. I dont think this is a long term situation. London is the long term play, but he hasnt established that connection with Cousins just yet. when he does, it will be scary. But I was pretty sure Mooney would be good there. Cousins actually had a hand in recruiting him. HE wanted him there. so I knew he would likely perform well early. obviously Cousins saw something in his game that he (as a QB) likes so I figured an early connection may happen there. But I still think London is the guy to own there, you just need to be patient

    Carolina Panthers

yeah they did look good today. with a veteran QB. maybe hes not the type of coach that's good with a young QB. Dalton looked pretty good in there though.
  24. this is 100% true. I am more injury averse than many so I discount for that perhaps more than a lot of other people, but in the end I have less of this kind of thing to deal with. I dont mind the tradeoff.

    Players you can drop

well, I am going to say something I have said many times. the RB's production largely depends on how the team is doing. if the team is winning, that RB will get all kinds of late game garbage time carries. to be blunt, the Cowboys have not been winning. to make the situation worse, The line has grossly underperformed and they are very vulnerable to runs up the middle as a defense. and that kills the clock as well. so the number of total plays from scrimage drops significantly if you can successfully run on a team for a nice long drive. the Boys are (at least in part) a victim of their own poor run defense. Lets put it this way, if you are giving up over 150 yards per game on the ground, your chances of winning are not very good and usually your run game disappears by halftime (or shortly thereafter) Zeke has value in a matchup where the Boys expect to get the early lead. then they will just give them lots of Zeke on some power runs. Though now, this Dallas line which has been good for so long is starting to show its age a bit. They have not been great either. so its dicey. I dont know that I'd drop Zeke yet. but hes not a starter. hes a matchup play.
