who was his OC when he threw for all those yards before he was suspended. he was able to get production out of the guy. maybe bring him in. at this point getting him to a point where he is productive needs to be the #1 priority. its not like they have a choice with the giant guarantee and all.

good move.... seriously, White should be rostered, but not at the price it would have taken to draft him. I have no shares of him in any of my leagues. I saw that he was a volume guy and was pretty sure it would be tough to repeat the season he just had.

I dont know about THAT. I think its more like the GM doesnt wanna admit he effed up the teams chances at a superbowl. all they really needed to do was get a QB in there who could throw a football. They massively overpaid for a guy who had off field issues and when he got back to the team after his suspension... couldnt play anymore. either way, Watson wont be relieved of his duties until the GM is. Pretty sure the coach has no choice in the matter of whether to play him (or not)

hes not that far gone, but if ran and was Re-elected he would be there at some point before he finished his term. but enough about that. this isnt a politics thread. Lets keep this about football okay?

I dont think Akers can compete with a healthy Aaron Jones. but he can likely compete with the backups. I suspect Jones is hurt worse than advertised. or they really are not happy with the backup situation. Likely the former moreso than the latter. I'm betting an announcement is made in the next couple days

I think Cooper was a Malcontent and they dumped him before he started airing out his grievances publicly. I'm not sure they are giving up, but what they dont need is the #1 WR bashing their starting QB that they paid way too much for. I think this was a damage control move. I could be wrong, but I get the impression Cooper didnt want to be there.

better than your dink and dunk short yardage pass game. I think Amari gives them a potential deep threat. He can give you that. but thats not how hes been used most of the time. (at least not lately)
-
yikes when you see this it usually means the injury is worse than initially stated. I've been wrong on this before, but I think you are onto something here.
-
No. I've been fairly unimpressed with how this has been managed in the offense to be honest. the offense has looked fairly predictable most weeks. last week was good, but its the first sniff of high end potential weve seen this year for this offense.

DangeRuss in consideration to start over Justin Fields week 7

maybe, but if you brought him in for a cheap price and he agreed to come there, likely promises were made. The team won 4 of 6 but they didnt win because of Fields great play. They won because the Defense was awesome. I suspect the right move is to at least give Wilson a chance to show he deserves the starting job he was initially promised. If Fields was throwing for 250-300 yards per game and getting those rush yards, the promise goes out the window, but 160 yards in 4 out of 6 games isnt outstanding no matter how good he is rushing the ball. If Wilson doesnt perform then go back to Fields. At the very least they need to see what they have in Wilson before sending him down the highway. but to be clear, this formula (with fields) will not work forever. teams will get a line on what they are doing (at least the good teams will) and limit his effectiveness. and if the offense is good enough to move the ball against this tough D, the team wont be able to win unless the QB is better -

I'm not surprised. he failed to get 160 yards passing in 4 of his 6 games. I know the rush yards add to that, and that makes him a decent fantasy start, but I have to believe that even when playing poorly Wilson can beat that performance. -
thats my point. churning the wire is like going out of your way to screw others. not starting a player is a far less serious offense as far as the fair play thing goes. I know the word douche was used but thats more applicable to the guy who churns the roster to keep others from picking someone up. this falls more under the shady category. most people will probably accept it even if they dont like it all that much.

well, the dropoff from #2 to #3 is larger than the dropoff from 1 to 1A. if hes a pure #2 then maybe but I am not sure it will shake out that way. it will also take at least a couple weeks for Adams to learn the playbook. the offense likely wont be clicking until fantasy playoff time. Maybe a week or two earlier if things go well.
-
probably. but I'm gonna be a bit of a contrarian here with a hypothetical that could come to pass..... With Wilson now getting the second best cover guy on the opposing team does anyone think its possible this move may actually help him? He could probably get open a lot easier. could actually be a 1 vs 1A situation rather than 1 and 2.

again true. its all about perspective I guess. its not illegal to cheat on your wife either. but if you do I'd say its a pretty good chance that she will leave you and you will get a divorce. I think its kind of one of those type of deals. maybe this is a bit of an over the top example. but I think I made my point. though the whole picking up and dropping all QB is (in my opinion) a higher level of douchery than this is. but this one is still treading close to that line. but once again, if its already been done in your league, its probably one of those things that is accepted and ok. but if its not been done, you may expect some snarky comments from league mates (or this weeks opponent) if that happens, at least you will now know why.
-
100%. unless the convention in your league has been that this is ok, its one of those moves that would be looked upon with distaste by your league mates. I suppose if it was a big money league and you were about to win $1000 + with the win, then yeah, bench your d and take home your $1000 bucks. but otherwise, its not cool. I suppose other things would play into it such as are these all friends or work mates? or just a bunch of people you met online and have a league with? these are all things to consider. but in the end, I would probably just play the defense. I dont think the Jets Offense has been scaring anyone and the Bills D has been above average.
-
you might. but if I was in your league it wouldnt be from me.
-
slap on the wrist man. 16k. for these guys that's like a parking ticket. its not gonna make them not do it again if they feel like it.

well, at 3.2 yards per carry for Naj I cannot think that the team is excited to roll him out as the starter. I have injury problems at RB in one league and I picked up Warren and am thinking about starting him. I am concerned about the possibility that they ease him into the lineup rather than giving a full workload right away. but his stats have been superior to that of Naj for most of last season. I think there is a chance he takes over this backfield at some point this season. I just dont know if tomorrow is the day.
-
fair bet. Baltimore has underachieved this year, but I cant see them falling behind Washington. they will be playing with a lead at halftime and from that point on it will be mostly a passing day. this plays to Ekelers skillset even if Robinson plays. (which he isnt)
-
well, if you have the roster spot, why not? JuJu isnt ideal in standard yardage leagues, but PPR he will get a decent # of catches with low to medium yards. Hes certainly worth a roster spot
-
I have downs and I like him, but the Tennessee D is actually the best D against opposing WR in the NFL this year. for that reason and that reason alone I'd sit Downs. Probably I'd consider playing him any other week. I'd go wilson and (if Healthy), Devonta Smith.
-
Ray Ray Mcleod has actually put up reasonably decent stats for a #3. hes a flex play but I dont mind him. and if one of the top receiving options go down in atlanta he has considerable upside too. but I get it. some have been asking if there are better options and I think its a worthwhile question to ask.
-
the deep balls seem to be the only ones hes hitting. but when throwing deep if you have a guy with speed who can track the ball well, that can make up for a lot in accuracy
-
Well, hes not tossing the ball this week anyhow. but otherwise I agree
