I think its gonna be matchup dependant. There will still be some matchups against weaker run defenses where he will be playable. and none of the other RB are good enough that I'd say they are matchup proof.
-
yeah, but given the nature of the Injury (Lis Franc) he will never be the same. he may need to switch to guard due to the injury. depends of course on the nature of the Lis Franc but there are literally dozons of tendons, ligaments and bones in the lis franc area and you cant operate on one without affecting the others. in all likelyhood he wont be able to push off with power from that leg (at least not the way he used to) and certain moves to defend he will no longer be able to pull off and unless the specifics of the injury are publicized (and they wont be) we have no clue how this will likely affect his play. I wouldnt count much on him. There is at least a 50% chance his career is ruined. The Lis Franc is a horrible injury. worse than a torn ACL. The recovery rate isnt all that good if they have to operate on it.

not sure what to say. I saw some tape where he was doing a crossing route and the ball was about three and a half feet behind him. It looked like an INT. the DB thought it was. the DB went for the catch, and Harrison reached out an arm and brought it in and he didnt even need to slow down. Because the DB was so sure he had the INT he was not in position to make a tackle so Harrison got a big play. One of the more impressive plays i've seen. those types of plays dont happen with subpar talent. though admittedly maybe the pass looked too easy and he lost focus. Not sure what is happening here. I bought in thinking Harrison was gonna have a good second year. He was my WR2. Still holding. Im not giving up on the kid because I KNOW the talent is there.

I dont love him, but this year his team has been plagued by drops. I think hes better than what the stats are showing. not sure that makes him good. Maybe it makes him slightly better than Meh.

This is a totally irresponsible move on the part of the Giants. I suspect the coach/gm are on the hotseat and trying to save their jobs. But putting a rookie in behind that horrible line is a mistake especially this early in the year. a rookie behind a horrible O line is facing: 1) Chargers 2) Saints 3)Philly 4) Denver 5) Philly (again) 6) San Fran the only decent matchup is the game vs the Saints. the rest are pretty tough matchups. personally if I were king of the world and wanting to get the kid in there I'd wait til that San Fran game was over before throwing him to the wolves like this. I'd say there is a good chance they are gonna ruin Dart as a QB prospect before hes done his rookie year. I do not agree with this move at all.

I dont have a hate for Travis Hunter. but I also never drafted him either. with a guy like him you always have to ask.... what if hes a better defender at the NFL level than he is a receiver? there was actually considerable risk with him because if he is a better defender, his reps as a WR will be less than they would be otherwise because the guy needs to take a breather. he cant be out there defending the prior series and then going out and running routes. dudes gonna get tired. I figured if he gets used on both sides of the ball they may split the time up. so I didnt pick him due to the situation. not due to his skillset

I'll be honest. I never saw this performance coming. but the line has been gawd awful. That doesnt help.
-
maybe its a mild sprain Even so, I dont know that I'd start him next week if he plays.

yeah, I knew Keenan Allen would play a significant role. I bought him for $2 in my auction and drafted him late in nearly every single draft I was in. I'm happy with that. I honestly thought McConkey would have a year statistically similar to last year. but the Emergence of Quentin Johnston has cut into that further. I wouldnt sell on McConkey yet. Quentin Johnston I thought started out pretty quick last year if I recall yr. t hen faded and then had a good game or 2 at the end of year. if that pattern holds, it may still pan out for McConkey owners. if not, you may see a 7-800 yard season for McConkey.

I think this is likely going to be WR by committee. they will each take turns performing in this offense and it will drive fantasy owners nuts

James Conner lying motionless on field after awkward tackle
Ray_T replied to nobody's topic in FFToday Board
well the next few games they will know if hes capable of starting (or not) Conor is at an age where his days as a starting RB in the NFL are numbered. this injury may actually have finished him off as a starter. if Benson proves he can play, they use a later pick to get a RB next year. if he looks questionable, they will use an earlier pick. -
well, Burrow has a quick release and is one of the faster decision makers in the NFL with a great arm with great accuracy. he was able to peform behind a poor line because of these skills. Most QB cant play behind a line this crappy. so if the line was nothing more than a turnstile, no surprise their backup (who is pretty good as far as backups go) couldnt perform

well, the cards will trade for a RB. this seems obvious. Not sure how Bensons blitz pickup is, but Conor was very good at it. so if they pick up a guy who has good blocking skills, they will likely plug him into the 3rd down role. if they pick up a guy capable of starting, then they dont have the confidence in Benson. I do think they will give Benson a chance to prove he can start. but I'm pretty sure a RB is on the way. -
I never saw the play, but passes where the catch was behind the LOS can often be considered lateral. if a correction happens it will happen in the next 24 hours or (likely) not at all.

need to know more about your league. This deal may make some sense in a superflex format but not in a standard start 1 QB format. Daniels is a far better choice than Stafford who is likely on the waiver wire in some 1 QB leagues. in a 1 QB league STafford is a backup. if hes your starter you likely are not in good shape. Id value stafford at almost zero in any 1 QB redraft format. so if this is your situation, this is basically a daniels for Skattebo trade and now you need to drop a player from your roster to make room for Stafford. in a superflex format Stafford is a starter, and then you look at the projected points and the makes a bit more sense here though I would not take that deal in superflex either. (though situationally you may consider it if you needed a RB bad enough and had the QB depth to withstand losing Daniels.) for the record, 2 for 1 trades are not truly 2 for 1. if you are getting 2 and giving up one, you actually need to drop someone. so in this deal your trade is Jayden daniels and the crappiest roster player you have(who you need to drop to make this trade happen) for Skattebo and Stafford.

apparently the second half got better but I was not watching.
-
yeah felt like the first half was just a gong show. 9-6 at halftime doesnt make for an exciting half of football.
-
well, its now 3 straight games where Caleb Williams started the game strong. in game 1 and 2 against good Defenses, the D made adjustments and he was mostly shut down after that. but Dallas isnt a great Defense. so lets see if he can keep the ball rolling against this subpar dallas D
-
I'll admit I was expecting better from him. not watching the game. what seems to be the issue? My understanding is the O line has not been all that good. was that a contributing factor to his poor production?
-
that has been their issue for a couple of years now
-
if kraft plays you should start him
-
kamara is a slam dunk Mason I'd start I dont love him and Jeanty should be the better player but so far he hasnt been that good. I'd bench Jeanty until he proves you should start him. but it is close. dont blame you if you go Jeanty.
-
its awfully close. I think I'd go Browning when its close like this I use the defense they are up against as a tiebreaker and Browning has the better matchup
-
Jeanty should be the better player, but so far this year he hasnt been all that good. Id plant Jeanty on my bench at this point until he shows he should play. Warren is your guy

the other issue. while lots of people like to stream QB and TE. as the season progresses those better streaming options come off the wire when people get hurt and disappear for good. there is a point in the season where if you wanna stream players you need to roster 2 so that you are not caught without a good option. This is the cost of drafting players late in these positions. if you do a good job streaming you can get almost as good production out of (lets say the QB position) as someone who drafted a QB early. but the price of that is that you at some point need to roster 2 if you want to continue to stream late in the year. also of note is that people will start to carry a second Qb later in the year so they dont have to worry about acquiring a QB on waivers come playoff time. its like an insurance policy. so streaming options do dry up a bit later in the year. this year may actually be an exception for the QB position as I see more viable starting options on the wire than I've seen in a very long time. was gonna say ditto for TE but thats not the case now that weve seen a ton of injuries to TE.
