  1. Nabers is electric. burst off the ball and out of breaks could leave smoke rings and leaves defenders gasping for oxygen. also smart. sets up opponents with varied releases and altered gaits to leave them vulnerable on critical downs to move the sticks or in the red zone. accelerates in a blink and can beat corners over top simply with his straight line speed. shows great quickness and balance with swift, sure cuts to create space on short and intermediate routes and vs zone coverage just as effective on sweeps and reverses (can run the ball) can move around the formation Weaknesses: there were a couple of key drops on his tape vs alabama and Texas A&M but those looked like he was planning his next move before the ball arrived rather than securing the catch. can be a bit of a freelancer as a route runner. which may take time for his QB to become comfortable with.
  2. scouting report I'm looking at: Harrison: strengths explosion off the line is incredible. immediately handfights at the point of release and cleanly pushes around to get immediate separation. (translation, you wont be able to jam him at the line) Never plays a bad portion of the route staying constantly focused on taking good angles and getting to soft spots in coverage where he can easily have open space to make receptions and work his way downfield. gets to top speed quickly plays and tracks the ball well Weaknesses: frame not particularly rocked up or noteworthy. Not overly muscular and still occasionally gets corralled by weak tackle attempts. does not operate well as a blocker body catches too often and it can prevent him from translating to his after catch ability quickly.
  3. well, its funny. the scouting reports say Harrison, but when I actually read the scouting report the one on Nabers actually looks more desireable in almost all aspects. major difference is nabers will freelance sometimes and go off his route. Harrison is more of a route runner. but will also sometimes make body catches.(negative)

    NFL bans hip drop tackle

hip drop tackle. when someone grabs the runner with both hands or wraps with both arms and then unweights himself by swiveling or dropping his hips and or lower body and landing on and trapping the runners legs at or below the knee. given the nature, I'd say a very low percentage of your tackles would qualify so I dont anticipate this changes the game much (if at all) but I would imagine that this would have a decent chance of causing an achilles injury if you are landing on the back of the runners legs

    RB,WR,TE with QB Cousins

hes availabe there most years anyhow. the injury likely guarantees he is available

    Anthony Richardson

the players with class know how to act. you dont shut down a young fan and tell them you need money for an autograph. you encourage that young man to be a fan. you happily sign the autograph. maybe even ask the fans name personalize it and address it specifically to him. those guys will have the staying power in terms of endorsements too as everyone wants to get behind a player who is a nice guy and hasnt forgot where he came from.
  7. well, this years draft have a number of young RB's who are available in round 2-3 that are potential starters. just not necessarily right away. so maybe that is the plan.

    RB,WR,TE with QB Cousins

I am less concerned about it than most. all this means is he wont be running the football any more than he did in the past. (which wasnt often anyways) as long as his throwing motion is good and he can shuffle inside the pocket he will be ok.

    Anthony Richardson

he did that? if what you say is true, I fully agree. Douche move. Especially in your own hometown neighbourhood.
  10. I was pretty sure he would draft someone. but he also needs to draft a WR. I would argue they need a WR more than they need a RB but both are big gaping holes in the lineup right now.
  11. I am with you. I'll take Gus the Bus as a goal line/short yardage back all day long. as a bell cow? highly questionable

    RB,WR,TE with QB Cousins

I think the largest beneficiary should be London. as for the injury, you have a point but an Achilles is not as huge a deal for a drop back QB who doesnt run with the football anyways. what I'd look for in pre season is you want to make sure his mechanics look ok when throwing. if they look good, I'd be ok with drafting him. given how bad the QB play was prior to Cousins arrival I'd add at least 10% and possibly 15 or 20% to all the pass catchers numbers from last year. I agree with Weepaws in that you probably should draft London as a WR2. WR1 is a little rich for a guy who is still largely unproven.

    Jerry Jeudy contract extension

ok at 18th highest paid, it doesnt sound that bad. I think maybe we all are not taking inflation into account. the value of WR and QB has gone way up while RB has stayed the same or gone down a bit.

    Sam Darnold to the Vikings

hes adequate at best. based on talent coming out of college I had hoped hed do better but that was not meant to be. he should be a career backup barring something unforseen. if the guy his team drafts isnt ready to start in week 1 he will get some starts in. Maybe he can develop another aspect of his game to bring himself up to a level where teams view him as an average to good starter. its a longshot but certainly possible that it happens. but this is not the type of longshot you pay 10 M/year to get him on your roster. its an overpay for sure.
  15. I figured this thread might be funny. feel free to post info on this 'important' development.

Eagles lose Swift, get Saquon Barkley

probably true. it also makes the offense more dynamic. once again I question whether he performs well enough late in the contract but for a couple years, Sequon is gonna be the man

    New Falcons QB: Kirk Cousins

I like the post. but the difference is the amount of guaranteed money with Jackson, a running QB who likely performs well enough over 2 or 3 years but likely doesnt perform at that level for the rest of the contract. running QB's are mostly done by 30 or 31 (often sooner) unless they can transition to become more of a pocket passer. Cousins contract guarantees all of year 1 and 2 and if he doesnt perform, the buyout at that point shouldnt be too bad. and I think he likely has 2 good years left. after that it does get dicey but hes not got a lot of guaranteed money at that point. its a completely different level of committment. he wont get you a superbowl, but he likely gets the WR onto the next stage of their development which wasnt gonna happen with any other QB on the roster.

    Sam Darnold to the Vikings

well, maybe not that cheap, but I'm thinking 3-4 M should be the max you should be paying this guy unless you expect him to start a significant number of games. even if that is the case...., I'd do a base salary of (lets say 4M) and a bonus based on games started and maybe wins as well.

    New Falcons QB: Kirk Cousins

true. this is still a band aid solution. Cousins likely only has a year or two left in the tank. team needs a permanent solution at some point.

    Sam Darnold to the Vikings

yeah, I dont know about this. 10M? for Darnold? maybe hes the backup and they draft someone. so maybe you pay a bit more for him because he may have to start a few games, but Yeeesh. That said, the Vikings were running with an old QB in Cousins. he likely had a year or two left only and is he worth the cash? likely cousins didnt want to sign a contract without a pile of guaranteed money. hes been all about the money since day one. (one reason I was never a huge fan) long term maybe this is the right move. but there are certainly growing pains associated with that move. Thats for sure

    Tee Higgins Seeking a Trade

I hear you. Granted he wasnt the first option in the offense so there is some meat left on the bone. he can do better if hes not the #2. but hes also against #1 corners instead of #2 corners. so these things dont always work out the way you think they will. there is considerable risk in signing a guy like this unless you already have a 1A type WR where they form another dymamic duo. maybe one where he is the lead dog instead of the 1A

Ravens Get a Running Back: Derrick Henry

sadly there is a fair chance that he is done. I'll of course at some point take a look at the injury and see what the chances are of him coming back from it. if my memory is correct it was an achilles and that is a bad injury for RB but not impossible to come back from. If he does come back, I'd bet it would be one more full year before hes ready for a starting role. That said, I know little about the seriousness of the injury and how invasive the surgery needed to be. and given his injury history, maybe the team just wants to move on anyhow. Behind this line, I'd say Henry is good for at least a year, maybe two and they can draft a kid to learn from him for a year or so before assuming starting duties.

    Tee Higgins Seeking a Trade

he also likely thinks he could be some teams #1 WR. he may think hes overlooked in cincy.

    New Falcons QB: Kirk Cousins

agreed. London with a QB who can actually throw the ball is a very appealing option

Ravens Get a Running Back: Derrick Henry

this is a place where a guy like Henry makes sense. I think he fits the offense. Staying on a rebuilding Titans team made no sense.
