that was my point. someone might actually give you a player you actually want for him
-
This thread is not designed for debate overly much. I just want people to post interesting trades that go through in your league or trade offers (even crazy ones) that you get. all I ask is whether the trade happened or if it was sent to you let us know if it was rejected and why. scoring rules in your league would also be helpful. this way people have a bit of a better idea of what the market looks like.

that would be the assumption I'd be going with. That said, In most cases I'd probably start DK ahead of Kittle anyhow.
-
thats a good point. if Olave misses time Thomas will get more targets. real concern I have is that typically the league usually wont suspend until the player has dealt with the legalities. so any suspension is likely next year. at the very least I'd wait until after this week. Hunt I think will be starting this week and if he blows up you may find yourself with better options than you currently have.

You think Justin Fields is bumming out that Bagent is doing well?

I think they will. And Against the Chargers he has a chance to do some good things as their defense has not performed up to the level it should so far this year. If the bears coaching is worth their salt, I expect some better numbers next week. -
hey, if you have someone else decent I cant say I blame you. good luck

I dont think Darnold was known for throwing to his TE's in the other stops along his career...... then again I dont know that hes ever had a TE with this kind of talent before either. Kittle may take a hit in value but I am not by any means certain of this. as for the rest... hard to say but I dont think Darnold is good enough to feed all the mouths that need to be fed in that offense. so somebody will be the odd man out. or everyones numbers will be down a bit (likely the latter)
-
well, at a consistent 50-60 yards a game I suspect he may sit on the wire. hes a nice bye week filler but you ideally want your starting WR do put up a bit better numbers than that. I think you will be fine.
-
Kareem Hunt might be a nice pickup. especially if you are needy at RB Michael Thomas has actually been reasonably consistent. he gets 6-8 targets every week and 50 to 60 yards most weeks. Devonta Smith has always been a bit inconsistent. look at his previous year's game log. looks much like this years game log. only difference is he strung together about 3 good games in a row during the fantasy playoffs. he will probably have a good game at some point here. then you can look at selling. Watson is hard to figure. hes been hurt. has had 1 good game and 2 duds. sample size is too small but if he looks like hes still hurting, you may want to look at moving on from him.

this isnt an injury. its an illness. and lots of players will play through that sort of thing. Honestly I think its much ado about nothing, this sort of thing happens. you should just be glad it wasnt a legitimate injury thats keeping him out for some weeks. situations like this is just the fantasy gods picking sides. it happens all the time. Just not necessarily in this manner.

If Tampa had anyone on the roster I thought was decent I'd agree. But at this point, I dont see anyone on the roster that looks good enough to Start. Chase Edmonds might be the best alternative in that room and I dont even like him that much. but he can catch passes so if you can live with how he runs the ball he should be ok on third downs. This might be a good thread to get input from TBay. he usually has good insights into his home team. but looking at whats there, I think they stick with White unless he gets hurt or really falls off the map production wise. I do think some nicer matchups are ahead. Hopefully he can turn it around.

I am not sure why the vikings wouldnt just punt it so San Fran has a long field with almost no time. the missed fg now gives SF a chance to win this

ok I've now watched one of those abbreviated games where they show key drives. Bagent looked good for the most part. poised in the pocket. able to run out of danger to extend plays. he does still stare down his first read on occasion. he didnt pay for it in this case because when he threw it his man was open enough that it didnt matter. but against a good defense that would be a problem for him. I do think he looks like he could be a better pro QB than Fields. of course neither QB is a finished product yet. both still have some learning and development ahead of them. but I enjoyed watching him play. hes definitely a player of interest for me. -

I never watched the game but most players making their first start get to run a fairly basic offense without too many audibles at the line. probably a stripped down version of the regular offense. I was not expecting big numbers but I did think that whatever the coach had him doing would be things he did well in practice leading up to the game. Vegas defense isnt exactly a powerhouse so the fact there is not a lot of pro tape on Bagent would have worked to his advantage in this one. -
its a silly argument anyways. first couple superbowls were because of the top end Defense. Certainly Brady helped, but at the time he was not considered to be the main reason for those wins at the time. Brady was likely the main figure in the later superbowl wins. I agree. but once again.... the value of a coach is in how the team performs relative to their talent level. as they won 6 superbowls, the achieved (or overachieved) you cannot say they underachieved and as a result, you have to conclude he was a good coach in his day. dont get me wrong.... I am not a Belicheck fan. hes an arrogant who I hate. but hes earned the right to be arrogant and I have accepted this. as another poster mentioned.... the game has changed some. while the team hasnt performed, is it because of coaching? or a sub par QB? you can only do so much with the talent you have.
-
ok now we are getting into a different issue. the issue is how is he as a coach. how he drafts would reflect on how he is as a GM. it has little to do with how he is as a coach. Naturally there is a bit of crossover but in general the talent he brings in is a reflection of how he is as a GM. how the team performs relative to the talent on the field reflects how he is as a coach.
-
nope. not tonight. my opponent had the miami stack and it did not go well for him this week. but going against a tough Philly Defense, he should have tried to avoid stacking if he could help it.
-
I know you dont like the guy. I dont care one way or another. I am not a bears fan. dont hate them. dont love them. but its not unusual for the team to rally around and try to boost the confidence of whoever is playing at QB that week. This isnt a sign of bad coaching. some of your other issues may be but this is not. Thats all I am saying at this point.
-
look i get it, but when you have a kid coming in to play its natural for the team to rally around him and say 'hey this kid is good' this is what this is. You are always gonna pump up the player that is playing. if everyone stepped up and said 'this guy is crappy' the kid comes in with no confidence and losing then becomes almost a guarantee. You never see that happen.

they beat buffalo and philly. either way this team is tough to figure out. they are winning games against buffalo and philly and losing to the pats. no pattern really. they have an easier schedule upcoming but if the pattern holds they will lose those games. anyhow the team is 3-3. normally you need to be better than .500 to make the playoffs so I'd still say their odds of making the playoffs is low. but the defense is championship calibre. so its not impossible. but the team is tough to figure.
-
honestly, in any given year, there are probably 3 or 4 Great teams that dont win. the talent will only take you so far. You still need a mastermind that will put together a gameplan that will allow you to use your talent to the best of its ability. so the fact that the Pats have won as many superbowls as they have is quite impressive. Sure the team isnt playing well today but that team has been at the top of the league for the better part of the last 15 years prior. you are bound to have a bad year or two. Thats the way it goes. Most teams have a window of 3-4 years to win a superbowl once they assemble the talent. They stayed on top for quite some time. at the very least you gotta give Bill the credit for not mucking it up. but in reality, Hes most definitely a HOF coach. once again I will point out that some of the comments are about Bill Belichick the GM and not Belichick the coach.

The NFL announced Germany will host a regular-season game each of the next four seasons.

nobody knows why he left. I didnt mind his take on some things but hes rather opinionated and wont admit when hes wrong. kinda made it tough to have a reasonable debate at times. -
if you can stick someone on IR then you dont need to drop anybody. thats your best solution if it exists
