    Trade Offer

might make it an easier evaluation if we saw your whole team as well as the scoring rules

that is a steep price to pay. unless you have exceptional depth at WR I'd say thats probably a no. you are trading a high value low risk asset for some medium value high risk assets. its possible it does work out for you but historically these kind of deals dont often work out.

QB play through 2 weeks WTF?

it usually does. especially if its a case where some of the early games were against elite defenses. that will skew the early data to make them look worse than they actually are

    Eagle RB

I have to agree. its hard to bench someone who just had the kind of game he just had. it is also possible that promises were made so at the very least, I'd say its a 1 and 1A type situation. Swift put up some real nice numbers in week 2 against the vikings. Sure he put up better numbers than Gainwell, but Gainwell was against the Pats. a better Defense. I consider them to be a top 5 run defense even though their numbers in terms of yards are just outside of top 5 but the avg yard per carry is within the top 5 and they gave up very few TD last year on the ground. vikings run defense was not very effective at the best of times. so we are not comparing apples to apples. I think it will be a committee.
  5. this is also possible. as a HC sometimes you will step out there and deflect criticism of some of your players.

    Dallas D/ST

I am also 2-0 in the league that has the Dallas D

Who’s teams are in shambles already?

this is an example of why RB depth is so important in fantasy football.
  8. with respect to the receiver spacing thing, there are a couple points 1) if someone is in your face it also hinders your ability to see downfield. from this angle its tough to say if the pass rush had this effect on him (or not) but it could be a factor 2) as a former QB, if I looked at my read and the WR isnt in the spot I think hes supposed to be, i moved on to the next read. no point wasting time looking for the guy. I dont know if that 'spacing' comment was meant to refer to this but its possible. that said, I do not know how they setup their reads based on what the defense is doing, so it makes it difficult to say whether this is the fault of the QB or the WR but I will say for sure, one of them is to blame for this not happening. it is also possible that that was the third or fourth read on the play and the pass rush got to him fairly quickly so it could have been missed for that reason too. certainly the line could have done a better job but it is also possible (and likely) that he needs to get through his progressions faster.
  9. actually there is a reason for that. This is a divisional matchup. my understanding (and someone correct me if I am wrong) points for and against in a division comes into play in the event of a tie in the standings. I believe it is one of the tiebreakers.. so there is an incentive to keeping that spread narrow on conference (and in some cases divisional) games. click on tie breaking procedures on the standings page on the NFL.com site (link below) NFL Tiebreaking Procedures | NFL.com
  10. I was unable to watch. but I'm dying to see some tape. either way, there looks to be a lot of things happening in this offense. Kyren Williams...... is he the real deal? Rams had two relative unknowns who both performed well. Puka Nacua- a guy who the scouting reports said he was high for talent but his team did not have him running a lot of routes on the route tree, so he was a large unknown in terms of how well he would transition to the NFL. was a 4 star recruit in college, so not exactly a nobody. he was well regarded even before he hit college. Tutu Atwell-second round pick in 2021. had a Meh type rookie season. absolutely tiny player. but broke out for a big week 1. thoughts on these guys?

    F.U. wk 2

I think you should be sending the F U to the Jets O line who couldnt open up any running lanes for the RB. or to the Dallas D who really was a force in that game

UPDATE: Cam Akers - Traded to Vikings

I"m with you. I picked up Kyren off waivers like you did (due to the dobbins injury actually) and so far have been happy with what hes done. I do think there will be a buyer for Akers but given the situation, McVay wont get anywhere close to full market value
  13. I agree. you cannot always run the ball. to be successful in the NFL you actually still need to be a credible threat to throw the football. otherwise teams stack the box and pull a run blitz every play which turns into a regular blitz if it ends up being a pass play. I'd say Lamar jackson is on the other side of the line. you need to at least throw the football well enough that if the other team keys on the run, you can catch them with their pants down by making a good throw. Thats the difference between him and Lamar. Lamar can make that throw, and at this point it does not look like Fields can (not yet anyways)

UPDATE: Cam Akers - Traded to Vikings

if you are basing this on just what happened in a week, you are fully correct. but this goes back to last year when Akers spent a lot of time in McVay's doghouse. I'm sure part of it was not being fully productive as he was still recovering from the achilles tear, but it feels like there was more to it than this. all I am saying is this isnt really a new development it goes back to the middle of last season. I personally thought it was over when Akers produced in the last couple weeks of the year, but clearly I was wrong. Sometimes once a coach decides he does not like a player, there is literally nothing you can do. I think this applies here.

Arizona is tanking this year for sure

Well, Carolina has their QB of the future. I think they want the kid to learn how to win. this is a situation where you dont tank. you let the kids learn and grow and you get what you get. but you want that culture in the room where everyone does their best. Thats the most important thing when you have a young core on your team.

Arizona is tanking this year for sure

well, it sometimes happens that you start out wanting to win and through a comedy of errors, bad mistakes and injuries you end up in a position where you can get a top draft pick. at that point it becomes easy to tank. players who are questionable become doubtful or miss games entirely, and rookies get lots of playing time. there are ways to tank. I'm not seeing that here (not yet anyways) but I'm sure if they get to a point where they are 0-6 or 1-7 this situation may change.

Arizona is tanking this year for sure

well, when tanking you dont want to bring the losing attitude to the dressing room. you tank by putting bad personell on the field. you dont tell players to throw in the towel. sets a bad precedent and then you end up with a bunch of guys with no character or who dont want to be there. tougher to turn that around than if you just have a bad team. I also am not buying that they are tanking. I think they deserved a better fate this week. maybe the mistake was going prevent too early. the D was looking actually good in the first half. they just shouldnt have taken their foot off the gas. thats just inexperience.
  18. I bought into the hype last year and drafted Mooney and Kmet. then I watched the first 2 bears game and it looked like a high school offense on the field. absolutely terrible. Later in the year it looked a bit better but I was amazed at how bad they were. I'm not sure if its bad coaching or the QB couldnt pick up enough of the pro concepts you want them to know but it was awful. so I avoided Bears this year.

Arizona is tanking this year for sure

honestly I dont know how they managed to lose this last one. i had to tune out as the kids demanded attention for some stuff, but the first half they looked like they couldnt lose. Not sure totally what happened there

    Trade offer

agreed. while the trade doesnt thrill me, its relatively fair value. and if you are trying to get out of the stack, this will do that and you are not giving up much (if anything) in terms of value personally I think in cincy they have some issues to resolve on that offense. I think they will fix it but I suspect it begins and ends with the line. I'm sure part of it is Burrow is still hurt a bit.

    F.U. wk 2

I'll say FU to circumstance. I went camping for the weekend and knew I wasnt gonna be able to adjust my lineup so I set it before I left for the weekend. Then Amari Cooper promtly gets injured and I had good players on the bench (Collins) but by the time I returned to a place where I could adjust my lineup I was unable to do anything about it. I will likely still win, but its also possible I may not.

    Waller injury

so now they are saying its not the muscle, but its nerve damage causing the problem. is this something that should make a person avoid him now? I'm inclined to think Nerve issues are harder to treat but I truly dont know. anyone here have any knowledge on this?

    Cooks sprained MCL

it sounds like hes got a minor issue for the moment..... buyer beware if trading for him.

    Need 1 for flex spot

I'd take Sutton. if michael Thomas misses week 2 Shaheed may be a good choice as well. if that scenario plays out I'd sit Gus and play those two.

    M.I.A. D'Andre Swift

for the record, I also think there is a better chance he ends up in a scandal with deSean Watson in a massage parlor. like I said zero chance the bench him. I dont think thats a realistic scenario unless hes already injured.
