    Christian Watson Replacement ?

Cooks has the better matchup but if Jeudy does not play Sutton is really the only legit target. he could get a lot of footballs thrown his way. Its tough to ignore that, so I think I'll vote for Sutton too

    Gibbs

hes a rookie in his first game as a pro. I thought his usage was fine. as he adjusts to the pro game his touches will increase as the season wears on. It may take a little more time than some of us thought but this is well within the range of what I was expecting. I honestly dont think its totally reasonable to expect a rookie to start with a full workload. I know it happens but that shouldnt be the expectation. I thought the defenses for the most part were pretty decent too and that makes it a little harder to justify playing the rookie in a close game. rest assured, things will get better eventually. you just need to be patient.
  4. I think this is it. Kittle actually injured himself before the last pre season game. he played in that game and it was determined he needed more rest. by now I think Kittle should be good to go for sure. but they list him as questionable. its just the way things are now.

    Which one?

in PPR you probably want pickens. Standard league is close. I think Pickens doesnt have a great matchup. San Fran D is very good. Mostert's matchup isnt super good either. Chargers D isnt overly strong but the offense is, and if playing from behind that could well mean the 4th quarter may be a barren wasteland of fantasy points for him due to bad gamescript. I'd probably go pickens for that too, but I dont blame you of you go for Mostert if the rules are standard scoring.

I dont know that I'd grab Kmet with LaPorta on your roster. I think you are ok there. and I dont see value in carrying 2 TE's not to say Toney isnt droppable if you see someone good, but I dont think this is your move. I also wouldnt mind seeing what this offense looks like when Kelce comes back. a lot of things with the game plan likely needed to be changed when Kelce was declared out, so that could have been enough to throw the team off. especially in week 1 when the team hasnt really gotten into the groove of the regular season yet.

Kadarius Toney or Cortland Sutton @FLEX

sorry never saw this til now. I would have picked Sutton just simply because Toney Missed all of training camp so I figured hed be out of sync with the offense. I didnt think hed be this bad but I guess everyone has a bad game now and again. hopefully you picked Sutton.

a couple were slightly off target, but a pro level receiver should be able to adjust and make at least some of those I think the pick 6 was a slightly high throw caught on the tip(though my memory was a bit foggy on that so if I"m wrong dont crucify me) but I agree, everyone seemed to be slightly out of sync. I do seem to recall the chiefs looked a bit rusty week 1 last year too. Though not nearly THIS bad.

leaving early is allowed if you are behind your half of the line of scrimage before the snap of the ball. so if he is lined up a yard or a half yard behind the line he should be just fine so long as he does not cross the LOS before the offense moves. I never actually saw what the commentator saw but in theory it should work well. when I was a kid playing football one of my coaches had Blitzers doing that when the play clock was down to a second they'd start moving toward the line and would already have some built up speed by the time they hit the line (making it harder for O linemen to stop you) so if the DT lines up a half yard off the line he can move early if he times it right he still wont be across the LOS before the snap. as an offense the way you solve this is you dont snap the ball right at the end of the play clock so they cant easily time it. You vary your snap count. at the pro level I'd expect a lot of offenses do this anyways so in most cases that advantage is somewhat negated either way

I was wondering that myself. I wouldnt go dumping all your KC players yet. I'd want to see what the offense looks like with Kelce on the field. though if you take away the drops the game wouldnt have been that bad, but the KC offense just didnt look scary like it usually does. the Detroit offense looked more explosive. that said I only watched the second half. maybe the story was different in the first half. Mahomes at least looked sharp. nearly all the drops were close to being perfect throws. it is also possible that multiple people just had bad days. it happens sometimes. and first game of the season you get this a bit more often than the rest of the season.

I figured there was a decent chance Gibbs puts up more receiving yards than rush yards, and I think that can still happen. and the better Montgomery looks the more likely it does happen. the dual threat is a good thing for detroit. makes them harder to defend. its just not ideal for fantasy owners. But the lions want to win games. they dont care about our fantasy teams. and I would argue that is how it should be.

I dont know that last TD drive, he literally ran over would be tacklers. a couple of real impressive runs there. and he seemd to get the yards needed in short yardage situations Not a bad performance. he was the RB2 I thought hed be.

not if Kelce misses significant time. this weeks game it looked like he was the only one who knows how to catch the ball
  14. whats with the decimal scoring on TD's? in the past you would just predict number of TD. should we view this as a percentage chance to get a TD? or is this just a posting error where normally you would round to the nearest TD for your TD projection?

    Kadarius Toney

I did notice he had a couple games like this in New York. I figured he had lost that when he got to KC. up til today he was looking ok. but today was just a s**t sandwich. I'm so glad I didnt have him starting, cuz I would have been pretty choked about it if I had.

if they cant catch a pass I suspect anyone would be better. multiple players had multiple drops. it was beyond pathetic. Mahomes threw a lot of dimes that were dropped.

    Kadarius Toney

he certainly was today. I cant defend that. I wasnt expecting a big performance as I figured he missed most of camp, so wouldnt be in tune with the offense. but there is no excuse for the drops. that's just plain ol terrible football no matter how you slice it and dice it.
