    Thoughts on Mahomes so far....

no. But I'm amazed at Mahomes more in the last 2 years. Last year he lost his #1 WR and the offense morphed into more of a ball control offense and was successful. This year he had a bunch of WR's who seemed to drop everything. suddenly the playoffs come and those guys start catching passes instead of dropping them. He made a very good defense in Buffalo look bad. I dont know that he beats Baltimore. They have a next level Defense and can do a lot of things that the Buffalo D cannot do. but its gonna be interesting to see if he can accomplish this. my fear is that the WR just are not good enough and every throw cannot be to Kelce.

    McKinnon likely done for year

agreed. he was dicey before the injury.

    McKinnon likely done for year

hes on the Wrong side of the age 30 to be coming back from an injury. At least it isnt an ACL but I'd be hesitant to draft him for fantasy even without the injury. I'm sure he comes back for one more year but I'm not sure hes gonna be all that productive

Mike McCarthy Returning as HC for Dallas

I agree he is not a superbowl winning QB and never will be. but at the same time he should be doing better than a first round exit. especially with this team he has around him.

no. Both guys want to be the supreme authority (or boss) in their respective kingdoms. you cant have more than one boss under the same roof it just wont work.

    Wildcard Weekend: Packers at Cowboys

agreed. certainly when a team is on the verge of losing and they need a big play, thats when they look his way. maybe with a double move hoping to shake him when he jumps on the initial cut. but his presence adds a new element to the D that makes the Defense a bit scary at times.

    Wildcard Weekend: Packers at Cowboys

this. but it is admittedly a double edged sword. there are times when he has given up big plays going for the INT. in general when you try to jump the route, if you are not successful the WR is in position to make a lot of yards because the DB is chasing after the ball and not in position to make the tackle. but it has gotten to a point with the high INT count that QBs are a little wary to throw it his way.
  8. once again, that is Belicheck the GM. Not to be confused with Belicheck the coach. I would never suggest he is a hall of fame GM. hitting on your draft picks..... thats the job of the GM. The coach just takes the existing talent on the team and does the best he can with it.

    Wildcard Weekend: Browns at Texans

Yes. I kind of expected a better performance from the Cleveland Defense. Flacco is ok but when the team got behind and then Houston scored early in the second half I knew hed have to take some chances to get them back into the game and thats when the INT's happened. it was a nice run and Flacco did his job getting them to the playoffs but I didnt think hed be able to get them to the superbowl. That said, I thought wed be learning this next week not this week haha but the defense was shredded. usually when that happens you lose.

    Wildcard Weekend: Packers at Cowboys

he is a shutdown corner. having him would have made the defense better. but in the end I really think the issue is Dallas was not well prepared to play. Green bay Jumped on them and there was no fight until it was garbage time.
  11. agreed. I had him high on my list for dynasty but not nearly as high for redraft.
  12. well, some players (or their teammates) will be changing teams and thus the rankings will shift based on how the offense as a whole will perform
  13. well, most of the comments in here dont differentiate between Belicheck the GM and Belicheck the coach. The reality is at his age the weight of wearing both hats may have been a little heavy. I still think hes one of the greatest coaches of all time. and I'm the first to admit he was a better Coach than he was a GM though for a while he managed both roles very well. I suspect if he wants to continue as a coach, he will be able to do it somewhere..... Just not in New England. either way if he never coaches another game, he will still be considered to be one of the greatest coaches of his generation. possibly one of the greatest of all time.

    Playoff game on peacock

thats a rip off. only reason I'd even entertain getting it is if I got the playoffs as well. either way, I dont have it. not the end of the world.
  15. in games where the game script was good Henry still performed. so I am inclined to think this is a symptom of being on a bad team. there may still be tread on the tires but I suspect its getting thin. Henrys value will depend largely on the situation he finds himself in next year. At this point it is too early to predict where he will be or how he will do. One thing I'm reasonably certain of..... I dont think hes an RB1 anymore. while not impossible, I'd say its unlikely. if he does perform next year, it is likely his last year doing it.

    Week 17 All-Out Blitz (2023) ...

congrats to you. but dont go giving us all too much credit. I have given a lot of advice to people who then choose to ignore it and then complain about why they lose. even if you credit us with the good advice, you also had a good enough head on your shoulders to see the advice for what it was and make the right move.

    Lessons learned from 2023

I learned that injuries are not the end. you can recover if you make smart moves on the wire. it is looking like I may have accomplished this feat this year. its not a lock but my chances of winning appear to be good. I played this weeks championship game with my top 2 WR, my top RB, my top 2 QB all out of the lineup. (2 QB league) so my advice. dont give up on the season when the injury bug hits you. sometimes in the end it will turn out to be a blessing.

Sticking with Goff in the ship?

honestly its tough. the dallas D tends to feast on the weak offenses and isnt that good against top offenses. but the detroit team has been not as good last couple games too so I see where its tough. like you said, its a feast or famine situation I suspect. so depending on where you are with your matchup this may or may not be a good option I suspect this is one of those where the defense may get an interception or two but the game ends up being like 31-28 or something of the like and the defense has an ok night but so does Goff. do I think there are better matchups out there for you? i in a 1 QB league there may be better options but that will very by league
  20. Ray_T

    Cowboys D/ST

I dropped them a couple weeks ago. I found that the D seems to feast on the weak offenses, but any offense that is strong or runs the ball a ton doesnt seem to generate the same level of points. Detroit is one of those thats likely feast or famine in this situation. I think Detroits offense likely wins this battle but it is close enough this could go either way I am starting the vegas D (which has been very good since the coaching change) against Minshew and the Colts who seems to be mediocre in this offense and does turn the ball over at times. that said, there may be better matchups on the wire in your league.

    Week 17 All-Out Blitz (2023) ...

ok in my 2 QB league I am facing a problem. massive amounts of injuries. been winning with smoke & mirrors but got myself here to the final. at QB Cousins, Herbert and Tanehill all went down (Tanehill dropped) at RB: Jacobs is doubtful and Pacheco is questionable. and Kyren williams got traded to fill the gap at QB at WR Keenan Allen, Amari Cooper, and Courtland sutton are all out for this week my starting roster now looks like this: At QB Flacco, Carr (heinecke backup) at WR Hopkins, Nico Collins, K Osborn at RB Hunt played and put up serviceable numbers(I was pretty sure one of my RB's wasnt gonna play this week and I was right) Pacheco or Jacobs at Def vegas at kicker Santos my lineup is more or less set, but I am pretty sure Jacobs is out and Pacheco may not clear concussion protocol in time so my question(s): who should I be grabbing at RB. The RB ranks are picked clean best options appear to be Justice Hill (Bal vs mia) Sanders (car vs Jax) McLaughlin (Den v LA chargers) and Latavius Murray (Buf vs NE) Assuming Jacobs is out, who would you pick up in the event Pacheco cannot go? second question: I think I'm ok with Osborn who I just picked up would anyone here consider Rashid Shaheed as a better option?

    Amari Cooper. The playoff MVP!

I am absolutely not complaining. he won me my game this week for sure. him and Flacco

    Rourke claimed by Pats

for those of you in a dynasty league and sitting at the bottom with no QB depth, this kid may be worth taking a shot on. as a guy who lives in Canada I have actually seen him play. as a starter for the BC Lions he completed close to 80% of his passes, he ran with the ball when the situation called for it, and he has all the tools in the toolbox. what he doesnt have is NFL experience. I never mentioned anything about this before because I figured his chances of unseating Lawrence was zero. but in New England I wouldnt be surprised if he gets a start or two in before the end of the season. for those of you who like to poo poo the CFL, a fair number of good NFL QB's played in the CFL. Joe Theisman Erik Kramer was actually cut from the Calgary Stampeders before he became the starter in Chicago Doug Flutie Jeff Garcia Warren moon. and a few others. thing you need to realize is the CFL is a passing league. you get 3 downs to get 10 yards. not 4 like the NFL. I've seen the kid play live and he does have some skills. what I dont know is how much that skill translates to the NFL but anytime you have a completion % that is over 70% you need to take note because a QB with poor accuracy couldnt hit that number even if his WR's were wide open every time. all I am saying is in a dynasty league, the cost to pick him up right now is close to zero and while this is a bit of a hail mary it is not unprecedented that a CFL QB goes south and does well and now hes in a spot where he has a real chance to do something as the QB's in New England have not been good at all. dont get me wrong, you are not gonna insert him in for your championship game 2 weeks from now, but he might be a nice dynasty stash for next year if you have the ability to grab him.
