Biden-Harris administration supporting minor transition
kilroy69 replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
This is a really big deal and could usher in the death blow to this type of mental illness being encouraged by doctors. -
Not to hijack the thread but how old are you and when did you start to notice slipping?
-
I was coming here to say that.

It is super weird that her dad killed himself before they could even find out what happened to her. No matter what for the rest of her life she is going to have to deal with the fact she likely pushed her dad over the edge with grief to the point he thought killing himself was the only option. That is a shittty kid.

You can tell who in this thread has been exposed to the actual practice of DEI and who has fallen for the MSM's idea of what DEI is from an academic standpoint.
-
They will probably give it to Allen but Barkley has 2-3 games where he could come close to 200 yards each

This is the democrats in their true form. They like to preach about the values they hold. But those values drop the moment it is convenient for them.

"the search" they have to meet the Rooney rule expectations but there is no search. The Bears will let Brown lose out the season and then throw the kitchen sink at Ben Johnson. Superbowl win or not.

Of course you do. You WANT to believe that is not what DEI is about. That may NOT be what DEI is about in the classroom setting but in the real world, trust me when I say, that is absolutely how it is applied. Especially to tech companies. I have mentioned this experience many times in the past. You want me to really blow your fuckingg mind? It was not just that she told me she was not hiring people that look like you. She pointed at her face, and pointed at her skin. Just to drive home the fact of what she was saying. Then I had to reject all the white male candidates that were good fits. So there was NO mistake as to what just happened. Is that graphic enough? Did she also need to call me a cracker asss cracker in order for you to believe (she did not but that would have at least made me laugh) Sue them? You think in the era of DEI/Metoo/Believeallwomen a straight white male is going to be able to win a lawsuit on something that comes down to he said/she said over a zoom call? I just sucked it up like a big boy and moved on to the next contract that turned out to be even more lucrative for me. You can believe what you want because it makes you feel better inside. Just know. You are wrong. I AM in the weeds and I am telling you the practical application of DEI ends up as a form of racisim that they are so comfortable with, saying something like that to me was not even viewed as out of the norm or even a problem. Just policy. It was not JUST them. It is usually not said in the same way I gave an example of. It is usually done like this. I submit people for the hiring manager to review and then they just reject all the white males. Then after that happens 2-3 times you just do not waste your time anymore trying to even submit them. THAT way they do not have to come right out and saaaaaay they are being racist. It is on YOU to make that assumption. Plausible deniability. Think I am full of shitt? Don't believe me? I encourage you to look into how DEI is used in practical application. I HOPE you look into it more. The more people that see this is BS the better. I hope you talk to some white male corporate recruiters and ask them to tell you the stories they have about DEI. How it is used. Because I 100 percent stand by what I have said. It was a lived experience. Not just something someone is making up for shitts and giggles to make you feel bad about DEI. DEI is racism rebranded under the cover of a cool little acronym. The shitt of it is that even if it is killed off NOW, it will creep back into society as soon as democrats regain power in 4-8 years. New name, same management. Something like EID. They will change it just enough to be different but not enough that people who are looking for it can't find it

I mentioned to my boss at the RPO that the hiring manager made me feel uncomfortable. 2 weeks later I was rotated out of that company and replaced by a Latino. It was not a firing because I rotated straight another contract within my staffing org but they def replaced me because of the question. I have hired TONS of diverse candidates over the years because they were the best person for the job. That being said I have been a contractor on an off for years and that has seen me go into a lot of different orgs on what is called an RPO, Recruitment Process Outsourcing. In the era of DEI have seen a lot of crazy things that I would have previously considered racist. I have been told in forced training that the old way of being colorblind is NOT acceptable. It is not good enough to be passive. If I am not actively helping people of color it is racist. As a recruiter I have had to turn down quite a few white males based not on their skills and background but what the color of their skin is or what their gender is. It sucks but I think it is pervasive based on my experience in the industry.

May I ask. Do you have inside insight into what DEI actually does and how it is implemented or is it just what you read in the media? I am not asking to be an assshole. I am asking because I would like to know if you are in the weeds on this issue or you are just an arm chair qb. I have had a hiring manager at a well known tech company tell me to my face. "we are not hiring people who look like you this quarter for these roles.. Find me women and people of color." Imagine saying that to ANYONE other than a straight white dude and thinking that would be ok. DEI is used for 2 things. racism and window dressing. If you look at the DEI related jobs on Linkedin. They are ALL people of color and lgbtq. So it gives tech companies cover when asked about the amount of minorities they have. We have an entire DEI department...that makes up 100 percent of our minority workers.

He is 100 percent right. It will absolutely come back. It will be rebranded the next time the dems take power and they will insist it is something good. I have seen the process of DEI first hand as a recruiter. Next rebrand will be something that marginally includes white people so they can pass it off as not what it is. Racist.

This is FAR more likely than me getting what I need.

MSNBC Mayhem: Rachel Maddow Pay Cut, Brutal Lineup Shakeup Coming
kilroy69 replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
I would like to see someone like Musk buy it and then force them to share air time with conservatives. Make it so it is not an echo chamber for the left. Make them play well with others. Something liberals hate to do. -
I would love to see that but his OC is functionally retarded. He insists on giving henry under 17 carries He has 6 games of less than 17 carries.. Meanwhile Saquan has had 2 games with 17 carries or less. The OC in Baltimore just does not understand what he has and is misusing him. In his last game he was not even on the field for the 2 point try that could have won them the game.
-
My league awards for long scores and going over 100 yards. Barkly put up 96 points by himself.
-
FU to Saquan. Last night likely put OPOY out of reach for Henry and me out a 35k payday.
-
I need for henry to run for 179 yards and 3 tds
-
I never liked stern. He was always a weird nerd that accidentally got famous.
-
That is a very sad truth
-
I 100 percent agree. Make them retrench into old positions that failed.

It is convenient for people who likely do not have kids to try to downplay the threat this poses to both the kids and women in general. It is a MAN in the womens bathroom. If you are ok with that your as mentally ill as they are.
-
I have said this before and I will say it again. Of all the people out there I could punch in the face as hard as I could she would be top of my list. I was young when she killed her kids but I remember it clearly. A black man carjacked her and took her kids with the car. I remember being soooo shocked when it turned out to be her. As a parent I feel even more hate for her now than I did then.

Elon Musk calls Southern Poverty Law Center a 'criminal organization' after doxing claim

I mean to be fair. I think they probably are. Open a RICO investigation. If they are clean they have nothing to hide. -
Elon Musk calls Southern Poverty Law Center a 'criminal organization' after doxing claim
kilroy69 replied to kilroy69's topic in The Geek Club
I actually think they are a terrorist org and that the feds should look at them as that. However, a RICO investigation would probably be easier.
