Ok. I think that if you took a big enough break from it you would start to see. When I watched it as a kid I thought it was literally the best movies of all time. I wanted to be a focking goonie man. They never say die. I was so hyped to show my kid this movie and I was embarrassed at what I saw. He thought I was nuts because I hyped it up so much only for it to be an arguably pretty bad movie.

That is so hard for me to believe you still think it is good. I have rewatched a lot of the classics from my youth and most of them are OK. THIS is the one that threw me because I loved it so much as a kid. It is just very unrealistic even for a movie.
