Let's discuss the NFL's divisional round matchups
kilroy69 replied to cmh6476's topic in The Geek Club
He is so terrible. I am not kidding when I say I would rather throw Jamison Williams out there at corner than watch Sutton get beat like he stole something over and over. Dak literally called him out at the line of scrimmage and then threw his way. When you see the big plays where the CB is just not in the screen it is almost always sutton. All year long. If we can get to the qb and rattle them into bad throws the D has a chance. If sutton is left on an island against evans mayfield is going to roast him. If they roll coverage to suttons side it is going to leave godwin and otten open. I really want this to be the superbowl team. I just have serious concerns based on what I have seen all year long. -

Diehard lions fan. I voted the bucs to win. I love the team and I hope they prove me wrong. That being said our secondary is awful. I see a 300 yard 3 td performance from Mayfield. Mostly on Cam Suttons coverage. . -

I think they should make them full time employees and they should be in workshops/ camps most of the rest of the year honing their craft. There should be a ref school that operates year around. If a crew is not performing they need to be sent back to ref school for a refresher. -

Ed Hochuli is how I know that the nfl refs are part time. They used to make a big deal out of him being a lawyer in his real job. It seems insane to me that the refs are part time employees in a multi billion dollar league. -

To be fair he is going low like the NFL keeps preaching. They always look awful though because he is essentially dumping a player on his head at full speed at the same time probably hurting their legs. This is an NFL problem. If any of his hits were high they are an immediate ejection and fine. -

I am a detroit fan and have been my entire life. I want them to win so bad. Each playoff win for us is legit a superbowl. Most of us have never seen a team like this. That being said I am very worried about the defensive secondary. Cam Sutton is focking awful. No matter what he is going to be matched up against either Evans or Godwin. In order for them to win they are going to have to have to get pressure on the line of scrimmage. If not Mayfield is going to have 3-4 tds. I really wanted them to add Montez Sweat. I think they would have had a much better chance of winning the superbowl with another DE that could put pressure on the pocket and mask how weak Sutton is. Instead we got Donovan peoples jones. Who has like 8 catches. Yaaaaayyyy. Win lose or draw we should be looking to spend our draft capital on defense and and add to it in free agency. -
None of these women are in the least bit fockable.

I knew last night when he was crying on the sideline that he was done. You could tell he had already made his decision.

You ever come across someone that you are sure is a serial killer now or a future spree killer? Someone who absolutely gives you the creeps. No not my mom and not Sux. I am talking like someone that honestly gives you an overall icky feeling.
-
The rams could have won that game. I am a long time lions fan but we got lucky. Cam Sutton is AWFUL.

I want to be made into an artificial reef for fish when I die.

I put a futures bet on the browns vs packers in the superbowl. That would pay out 75k
-
Yea I was talking about the defensive backfield. I just do not think they have it.
-
I am a lifelong lions fan. I just do not see it this year. Our backfield is just not good enough. I feel like if brad holmes would have got Sweat or Young we could mask that with pressure. As it is they have zero chance of getting out of the first round. On top of that goff is just not really good. He throws ducks more often than not. I have never seen a QB throw as many NON spirals as he does.
-
Do not let any of this distract you from the fact that the lions CAN NOT win the superbowl with Cam Sutton in their backfield. Dak walked to the line at one point and instead of calling out the mike he called out sutton by name. Sutton was not the mike. He was just identifying the person he was about to burn.

Report: NFL officiating crew that oversaw controversial Lions-Cowboys ending 'downgraded' for postseason The same crew was involved a controversial no-call in a Week 13 game between the Chiefs and Packers"A large part of Brad Allen’s crew is not gonna be officiating in the postseason," Schefter reported. "They’re gonna get downgraded." That is about as bad as you get for refs. The NFL NEVER makes mistakes but after something like this they will just downgrade the crappy crew. I am surprised they have not downgraded John Husseys crew also.

In no world would Aikman defend the lions unless something was off

The fact that the ref is sticking with his story when you can clearly see it is a lie is absurd. There is literally video proof that what they are saying is a lie.

On top of all that Cam Sutton is the worst player I have ever seen in the NFL -

A few things. The refs ate their whistle on a lot of penalties against Dallas. The very first long td by lamb? Dak scrambled and there was a very clear hold that allowed him to get out of a safety. Then they focked up the touchdown for Detroit that should have won the game. They got confused on who checked in as eligible and LIED about it in their pool report. There are cameras and mics everywhere. You can easily find out what happened. Campbell LITERALLY told the refs what they were going to do. Went over it with them. They still focked it up because Skipper had reported as eligible in a few plays before. Skipper then did NOT run a route. The ref claims that “On this particular pay, No. 70 (Skipper), who had reported during the gam e a couple of times, reported to me as eligible,” referee Brad Allen said in a pool report. “Then he lined up at the tackle position. So, actually, he didn’t have to report at all. No. 68, who ended up going downfield and touching the pass, did not report. Therefore, he is an ineligible touching a pass that goes beyond the line, which makes it a foul. So, the issue is, No. 70 did report, No. 68 did not.” None of that makes much sense, not the least of which is players are saying the exact opposite. “I didn’t say a word to the ref,” Skipper said. “I’d like to not get (expletive) fined.” Decker, meanwhile, insists he did report as eligible. “I did exactly what coach told me to do,” Decker said. “I went to the ref, said, ‘Report.’” -
I am a lions fan but the browns defense is just absurd and you are right the lions D is really not that good.
-
I put a couple future bets out last week on exact superbowl teams. . I got Browns vs Rams @ +75k and the Browns VS Lions @ 20k. both 50 buck bets. Browns vs lions dropped to +12500 and Browns vs Rams dropped to +40k
-
The browns D is dominant and it seems like the game has slowed down for flacco
-
Holy crap man. I never thought we would see the day you moved back. I think I asked you at one time and you said fock no. How long you gonna be in the dirty D for?
