Giants are saying "I don't think so, 'zona".
-
Can't see any team making a trade for him. Maybe a repeat of last year where he comes back fresh at the end of the season. Maybe it's all part of McVay's "genius" plan.
-
Thought the Eagles were supposed to have this great defense - guess not.
-
There has got to be a high place in heaven for Vikings fans.
-
It could be that the feature back is no longer a thing in the NFL and the Falcons will continue to use both (keeping both backs fresh in a long season). It would be pretty bold to drop Pacheco for Allgeier at this point, but in today's NFL i think more teams are looking to spread the RB load rather than rely on one guy.

Makes sense if McLaurin gets the Adams treatment from the Broncos D and I'm not convinced he is right yet with the turf toe (though Davis and Sutton are not particularly appealing option either). Really trying to figure out if it's too crazy to be starting LaPorta over any of them.
-
I'd really like to start him at home against the Seahawks I can start 3 out of the following 4 - who would would you bench? S. LaPorta vs. Seahawks G. Davis vs. Raiders T. McLaurin @ Broncos C. Sutton vs. Commanders

It's really more of a love-hate relationship. 6-7 months after the achilles injury they gave him the feature back role in the middle of the playoffs and for the Super Bowl when he hadn't played all season. Then a few games into last season it was a forgone conclusion that he had played his last down with the Rams - suddenly he starts tearing it up at the end of the year. Now he starts the season behind Williams? None of this makes sense. There has got to be more to this story that is going on behind the scenes.

I'd keep GWilson. It's a young man's game, and it's concerning to me that Kupp wasn't ready to come back for the beginning of the season.

I would agree with others, that he's a long shot. You are kind of counting on medical advances saving the day. I'd say there is a decent chance he comes back and in time for camp next season (Akers had his achilles injury in the summer and played in the post-season so that kind of timeline would not be unprecedented). The big question is if he will be the same player (and even if he is, will some other injury pop up as he has been injury prone). If you have 20 deep rosters, that 20th spot would seem to be a lottery ticket no matter what - Dobbins might not be a bad lottery ticket to hold for now. I'm assuming you can always drop later if something you like better comes along.

You shouldn't give this bored the option of going with (E).
-
For the record, I'm not faulting you for your advice. It was sound, but as you say anything can happen so why not go with what your gut is telling you once in a while (especially when it's not totally insane). Sure, that could have turned out badly but the OP had done his homework and noted Allen's previous recent struggles against a Jets D that is arguably even better this year.
-
Hopefully a lesson learned. It's your team - you should always own your decisions. This board can be useful in determining if your gut is way out in left field, but couple of the responses did indicate that going with Lawrence wasn't a crazy idea.

I think the Philly RBs will be hit-or-miss all year. I'm sure Swift will have some big games, but good luck figuring out when that will be. Plus the week you think you you have it figured out they'll give Boston Scott 3 goal line carries.
-
I agree the London is the odd man out. Since I am an Akers owner, you can be pretty certain the Williams will be golden (but beware this week because I'm sending Akers to the bench).
-
As far as sacks go - that was pretty gentle - it was almost like one of those "no contact" injuries which are always bad.
-
He was dropped in my league (and I have no intention of trying to pick him up).

Moore is less.

Week 001: Random Thoughts/Opinions/Questions

There was definitely not a "hot hand" approach between Allgeier and Robinson. Each seemed to have a role in designated packages and/or drives. Allgeier ripped off a couple of big runs on his first drive, but Robinson came right back in on the next series. -
If you started Akers, you're welcome. It's not much, but at least it's something.

No - he just sucks. Really need a Gratefulegg rant, but I couldn't do it justice.
