    Keeper League trade (Thoughts)

I'm in a 10-team 2-QB Salary cap keeper league. I'm not restricted on the number of players I can keep, but am restricted on price... $28 (keeping it simple). Here's my roster (and costs): QB's Joe Burrow $7.88 Baker Mayfield $7.63 C.J. Stroud $5.83 Michael Penix $0.84 RB's Saquon Barkley $8.67 Jonathan Taylor $8.05 Rachaad White $5.34 Tyrone Tracy $3.24 Blake Corum $1.35 WR's Ja'Marr Chase $9.60 Courtland Sutton $5.59 Jaxon Smith-Njigba $5.17 Chris Godwin $3.85 Rome Odunze $3.77 Rashee Rice $3.37 Khalil Shakir $2.92 Brandon Aiyuk $1.13 I can keep Burrow, Penix, Barkley, and Chase for $27. Thing is, Barkley tallied 482 touches (including the playoffs), last year and I'd prefer to sell a year too early than a year too late. I have a buyer for Barkley, and keeping Taylor gives me financial flexibility. But a trade offer I'm thinking of offering is to the McCaffrey owner.... Mayfield + Taylor for McCaffrey. Here's that owner's roster. QB's Tua Tagovailoa $5.18 Sam Darnold $4.62 Mason Rudolph $1.63 Trey Lance $0.39 RB's Joe Mixon $6.37 James Conner $6.20 Christian McCaffrey $4.80 Brian Robinson $2.87 Jerome Ford $2.41 WR's Malik Nabers $6.27 Mike Evans $6.18 Tee Higgins $4.22 Chris Olave $4.16 Puka Nacua $3.38 Andrei Iosivas $1.99 Ja'Lynn Polk $0.69 Do you think that deal is even or lopsided based on the parameters (2 QB league, $28 cap)? His keepers could be Mayfield, Taylor, Nabers, Higgins, & Nacua for $27.98

    How to really MAHA

School and endocrinologists I talk to. This is NOT and good vs bad situation, it's a really bad vs just as bad, but slightly worse situation. Every nutritionist and endocrinologist will tell you to avoid both, but if you don't and have a choice, choose sugar cane. Both will do the same thing to your body, but the risks are greater with corn syrup. Also, your brain doesn't recognize corn syrup as an adequate nutrient. When that happens, your body doesn't register it as satiating and you're more likely to keep eating/drinking. This is why the risks are higher. Again, people should avoid both. There's no winner. In a way, it's like a football team losing 14-0 or 17-0. No one wants either, but you're better off losing 14-0. Like you noted, the difference isn't great, but one is worse. Why choose that one?

    How to really MAHA

"Nutritionally", this is true... long term, sugar is better. HFCS has a bigger negative impact on your metabolism, liver, and gut health. Neither are particularly good for you, but considering that the majority of people consuming them aren't doing it in true moderation, they're definitely better off, with cane sugar.

Information I like to hear. Makes him a better option in my keeper league for a future investment.

Obama and the Democrats did that, not Trump.
  6. Are Schiff and Warren scared that CBS has been red pilled?
  7. TBayXXXVII

    Yeah...I'm a bit worried

Exactly. The Democrats stopped existing in the 90's. Bill Clinton's telecommunications act allowed major media & multi-media outlets to buy up all of the small ones essentially restricting free enterprise. They went full corporate (weird, that's what conservatives were supposed to be). Then, he good ole' racist Joe, write/pass the crime bill that puts all those black guys in prison for smoking pot. Weren't they all a bunch of pot smoking hippies in the 60's and 70's passing these laws? Nah, Democrats need to STFU with their bs trigger words. They just show their incompetence and willingness to believe the crap shoveled to them by their masters in the MSM that Bill Clinton designed.

    Political Persecution? Schiff

If he's guilty, prosecute... same with all of those corrupt dbags. If he's not guilty of that (he's probably guilty of something else), then you don't prosecute. It's not that hard. Media on both sides will make it political though.

    Football coaches are dumb?

Here's my guess... the position they were initially in, were positions that they were put in because of circumstances. It probably wasn't the best case scenario for them, but it was the best case scenario for the team at the time. I say that because I see it in baseball. My nephew plays travel and HS baseball. His travel team is actually made up of about 50% of his high school team. There are kids playing 2B, SS, and 3B for HS, but on the travel team, they're outfielder's. It's because they're better suited for the OF, but because of the make up of the high school team, they play in the infield. The issue is that the kids who play the outfield in high school are not good infielders at all, but good in the outfield. The kids who play the infield are good at it, but are way better outfielders. So, the high school team is better off being "good" in the outfield and "good" in the infield than they are being "great" in the outfield and "bad" in the infield. Since the travel team has good infielders, the kids who play the infield in HS are able to be at their best in the outfield.

    Football coaches are dumb?

You will find that many Eagles fans (probably Chiefs fans as well), will justifiably criticize Andy Reid for this as well. As well as in-games decision making. In the Super Bowl loses to the Bucs and Eagles, Andy Reid was out coached in the first quarter and NEVER adjusted and it's a reason they lost. Here's the thing, they lost both in blowouts because of the same reason. Tampa got pressure on Mahomes with just their down linemen. No one was able to get open down field, so no matter who Mahomes could throw to, that person was double teamed. Instead of keeping Kelce in to block and/or adding an extra blocking TE, the Chiefs kept letting Mahomes run for 400 yards behind the line and throwing incomplete passes. The result, a blowout. The Eagles did the exact same thing... got pressure with their down linemen and no one was open. Reid did the same thing... nothing to stop it. The result, another blowout. Andy Reid has been to what, 6 Super Bowls, won 3? Been to 12 conference championship games... won 6? He's not good at clock management either, like Quinn and he's not good at making in-game adjustments.

    Political Persecution? Schiff

We know the Trump trial in NY was a sham the second the judge never sentenced him. We know this because, if there was a sentence, Trump appeals to a higher court and will be found not guilty. The trial was 100% election interference.

    Keeper League trade (Thoughts)

Our league doesn't veto trades, no one is trying to rip anyone off, plus just because some has an opinion about a player it doesn't mean they're right. The NFL and the future, are finicky things. My thinking on this is that I can't (and am not), keeping Mayfield. I don't think that Taylor + his cost is enough to get McCaffrey, so my theory was to include Mayfield since it upgrades him at the QB position. Both RB's carry an injury risk, so I figured we'd exchange injury risk RB's, but the cost for me is to throw in another player because his guy has more upside and is cheaper. Every player who's drafted after R10, their draft value increases 3 rounds... so R11 this year will be R8 next year. For players drafted in the first 10 round, they increase by 2, so R10 player will be R8 next year. Draft rounds for the 3 involved are Mayfield - 9, Taylor & McCaffrey - 1

    This thread is ridiculous!

I think it's funny that a person ( @peenie), who claims they've experienced racism throughout her life growing up (note: it was in the darkest blue part of NJ where she literally may never have ever actually come in contract with a Republican [Newark, NJ - Essex County] - which neighbors the 2nd & 3rd most liberal counties [Bergen & Hudson], in the state), then moved to the darkest blue state in the union (CA), left there to go to a red state (GA), and loves it... still votes and supports Democrats. Also, lived under politicians who lied to her on a daily basis and has the nerve to call out someone whom she thinks is lying, that happens to be a Republican.

    I'm out on Shedeur

Same thing happened to Geno Smith, at least he went in the 3rd, not the 5th.
  20. It all stems from people being crybabies. For example, a number of years ago in a Buccaneers game, Keenan McCardell scored a "defensive" touchdown, while on offense. It was the MNF game against the Colts where they had a 21-point lead w/5 minutes to go, and lost in overtime. Brad Johnson threw and Int, on the return, the guy who intercepted it, fumbled. McCardell picked it up and ran it in for a TD. The NFL rules are very clear, the team in possession of the ball, is on offense. Well, after the interception, the Bucs offensive unit became the defense. So, McCardell's TD is a fumble return for a TD. The person who had Tampa's defense should get the points for the fumble recovery and defensive TD. I mean, it's clear and obvious. BUT, you get the Keenan McCardell owners who cry because their guy scored the TD. But, it doesn't matter. At that point in time, he was on defense. The NFL rules CLEARLY stipulate that, so suck it up and deal with it. So, people in fantasy make rules where "other" or "miscellaneous" or whatever TD's count. The result is things like this. People have IDP's, they want their IDP to get a TD if they go on offense. Well, the only way to do that is to make a rule so that your player gets everything, regardless. Well, now you have a guy that plays both sides of the ball and now he could destroy your league... now, more crybabies come along and want to restrict that guy... because they don't have him.

Quinshon Judkins arrested for domestic violence

I don't know if it definitively shows bad judgement. It could be that he realized that the woman he was dating wasn't who he thought she was. I'd say he would be more naïve, if this is the case. As you point out, the 9 am thing is a key part of why I'm waiting to make a call one way or the other.

Quinshon Judkins arrested for domestic violence

From what I've read, Judkins made $1.1M in NIL money. It's not chump change, but it's not as much as you'd think. After taxes and other bs fees (agent/whatever), what's he seeing, $400k over 3 years. Again, it's good money, but it's not actual wealth. That aside, I'll hold judgement. When it comes to athletes and celebrities, I give them a little more latitude in these areas because I think they're targets for certain women. I believe the young man isn't married, so if it's "domestic violence", I can see a scenario where a girlfriend getting upset that her gravy train might be pulling out of the station and possibly be using this as a way to keep him.
  23. Sounds like you have a bunch of people in your league that are jealous. LOL I think the easy solution is to just get rid of defensive scoring for offensive players all together.

    With the first pick....

Everyone is going to miss time, I think that's a given. I also think a given is that RB's are more likely to miss more time and have shorter careers.
  25. TBayXXXVII

    With the first pick....

I agree that WR's are easier to find, but I think if you have an elite WR, he's safer than an elite RB. If you pass up on getting an elite RB and get a "good" one, with an elite WR, you're safer than drafting an elite RB and getting a "good" WR. Though, I'd have to admit, I haven't been looking too much at ADP's. Just looking now, in a .5PPR as the OP states, taking Chase #1 could get him Chase Brown in R2. Maybe that's a stack someone doesn't want? Taking Robinson #1 could land him Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Rashee Rice, Tyreek Hill, or Jaxon Smith-Njigba. In this scenario, it boils down to, "How comfortable are you"? I think I can make an argument for both sides.
