They can't do that. When you hold black people accountable for their actions, that's racist. The necessary steps needed are to allow said people out into the world where the decision makers are far far away from any consequences. That way, they can virtue signal and not have to worry about anything.

I don't think Ohtani is guilty of anything other than helping out a friend who got into financial trouble... later to find out the dude was stealing from him. That said, I would not go to the extent of blindly saying he's 100% innocent like you are. I mean, he could've been the one and used his interpreter as the fall guy. Yeah, being suspended all that time is a big reason why he's slipping. No team to work with, doing everything on his own for 2 years isn't going to help you. He even pizzed off his teammates in Japan, that's why he's in Mexico. LOL Yeah, it's possible he's not pitching today, because he is a tw@t, but the suspension was absurd and most likely why he hasn't been pitching the last few years.

Manfred gave him a 300+ game suspension and an arbitrator (with the player association backing him), got it knocked down to like 190 or something like that. He proved that one girl set him up and her accusations of sexual assault were dropped. There are still other accusations against him, but the girl he took to court was the reason they suspended him. He's also not signed because everyone hates him... he's a complete azzhole. LOL He did pitch in Japan and wasn't as good there as here, plus he's 32 now, so there's no real desire to sign him. But still, without that one big accusation, there wasn't much to go on, and he proved she lied and set him up. Had that not happened, he probably gets a 30-game suspension and pitching today.

Is that better or worse?

He'll get the Michael Jordan treatment. He'll come out saying he's taking a year off to deal with the off-the-field issues... maybe 2, and then come back. No one will ever say he actually bet on baseball and the league will never "punish" him.

From a New Jersey perspective, because I don't know about other states, teaching is the racquet. You get to be a part-time employee, make full-time wages, an awesome pension, awesome medical benefits, and you still get to complain about how little you make.

Not sure what the clip is about, but back in the day, fitness and cognitive requirements for becoming a police officer were lowered because not enough minorities and women could pass them. The result was a small handful of women and minorities got jobs but a huge amount of bad white people did too. The thing is, when you lower requirements to give more opportunity to lesser qualified people, the net result is a substantial increase in people you don't want, getting in.
