    With the first pick....

I considered this, but I am of the mindset that RB's get hurt and are hurt by offenses/game plans more often, than WR's. I'd rather keep the elite WR, 1) He's less likely to get hurt 2) Despite QB play and or system, he's going to get the ball (see Justin Jefferson w/Darnold, CeeDee Lamb w/Rush, Brian Thomas w/crap Du jour in JAX, Nabors w/crap Du jour in NY), and 3) Even in a down year, he's still likely to be a WR1... just not the WR1.

Elon says that Trump is in the Epstein files.

Interesting... I was talking to a hardcore leftist I know and he's calling Trump and Bondi liars for holding back the files/lists because he knows the files/list, exists and they're just protecting Trump. I've also heard from other Lefties that Trump and Bondi are protecting their buddies. Here, we have lefties mocking conservatives saying that Trump and Bondi were lying about the list the whole time. Guess the leftists talking points haven't reached everyone yet. I at least hear the same thing from conservatives... everyone is pissed for being lied to. Personally, I think everything in government is a cover up. I think they're all guilty of everything. Every time anyone of them talks, they're lying.

    With the first pick....

I'm thinking Chase, because WR's have more long term staying power. If you can keep on keeping Chase, that's probably better long term than giving him up and keeping Robinson.

I'm rather curious about the approach the Jets plan on taking with the offense. Both Glenn and Engstrand came from the Lions. Are they going to try and recreate the Lions offense with Fields who's the complete opposite Jared Goff? That'll be interesting. I can certainly understand the reservations from that perspective. Fields doesn't move the needle for me on whether I draft Hall or not... if it did, it probably would sling me more in Hall's favor than against. Like I said, I'm not sure what kind of offense the Jets plan on running. I like Garrett Wilson, but Josh Reynolds(?), Allen Lazard(?), Tyler Johnson(?)... I don't know about that. They certainly don't really have any TE's to worry about either. I think their offense is similar, but better than the Steelers last year. The Steelers OLine, was about league average. From what I've read, the Jets are expected to be the in back end of the top 10... so slightly better. I think Hall is a better RB, overall than Harris, by a decent margin. I think Garrett Wilson is a lot better than Pickens. According to this, the Jets have a rather easy schedule. Last year, Hall was RB15. I don't see why he can't do just as well, maybe even better... because I think the Jets were a hot mess under Saleh. Looking at the adp, of the guys taken after him, I'm not sure how many of them over Hall. I'd take Cook. I might take Hampton with the upside of being in LA. Maybe another rookie or 2... maybe. I think 12 to 15 is about right. If I'm getting him #34 overall, that implies pick 10 in a 12-teamer, right. If my first 2 picks are Nico Collins and Derrick Henry, I think I'd be ok with him as my RB2. That said, if I can get a receiver like Mike Evans at #34 then Hampton at #39 (or Cook), I'd probably do that. But, I wouldn't be upset with Hall and then DJ Moore.
  5. It's because he's so wrong, that he needs to get someone to latch on to a straw man argument that he concocts, so that he can say, "So I'm right?".

    Derek Carr Decides to Retire

After looking into his stats a little more after this post, Derek Carr was a perfect example of a QB with raw talent that needed to be coached in the right way and he would be able to excel. Under Gruden, his 17-game season projects to 68.8% / 4323 / 24 / 10 and it was accomplished with no real WR's to throw to, as his best receiving weapon was Darren Waller and had 2 years of Josh Jacobs. To put that in perspective, last year only 6 QB's threw for 4000 yards, 11 threw for 25+ TD's, and only Burrow, Daniels, Herbert, Stafford, and Allen (regular starters with at least 12 starts), threw less than 10 Int's last year. His 98.8 passer rating would rank him 12th.

Should Jeanty really be taken as top 5 rb?

That's one way to look at it. I was just giving the data. @WhiteWonder's conclusion seems more fitting though. Approximately 64% of the RB's who finished as an RB1, were taken in the top 10... like Jeanty. Or, 80% of the RB's that were taken in the top 6, finished as an RB1. Or, 85% taken in the top 8, finished as an RB1.

That's because he was splitting carries with Montgomery (or D'Onta Forman). That's not a QB issue, that's a team/usage issue. In 2023, Fields had 124 rush attempts... Hurts had 150 (averages 168 per season). Lamar averages 167 per season. QB's can run a lot and their RB's can produce. Yes, the QB does matter, but I think the bigger issue is the system and supporting cast than the QB - in terms of how (fantasy), relevant a RB can be. In Fields' first 6 starts, he was 4-2, completed 65.8% of his passes had 5 TD's and 1 Int, had a 93 passer rating and 50+ QBR. In those 6 games, Najee Harris averaged 2 receptions and 85 total yards (had 1 TD), per game. With Wilson, Harris averaged 2 receptions and 74 total yards (had 5 TD), per game. The usage/production, despite the lesser amount of stacked boxes didn't really change... only the TD's, because my guess is the goal line carries. In looking, the 5 TD's he scored with Wilson, 3 were 1 yard carries and the other 2 were 10 yards. The one with Fields was 36 yards. Harris averaged 11.5 fpg with Fields and 12 with Wilson in the end, so the stacked boxes really meant nothing. If Fields played all year, like he did those 6 games, his final numbers would have been 66.3%/3134/13/4... Jalen Hurts was 68.7/2903/18/5. Are you going to tell me that's a huge difference in favor of Hurts? If so, then does one QB having AJ Brown & Devonta Smith and the other having George Pickens & some guy named Austin have anything to do with that difference?

Khalil Herbert also rushed for 4.9 yards per attempts. In the 3 years with Fields in Chicago, Herbert had 364 carries for 1775 yards. Last year, Saquon had 345 carries for 2005 yards. I point that out not to say that Herbert in similar to Barkely. It's to say that maybe it's more of a RB & usage issue than a QB issue. Jalen Hurts only threw the ball 361 times last year. Is not really all that good of a passing QB. Do you really think teams were trying to stop the pass last year? In contrast, David Montgomery in his 2 years sharing the backfield with Herbert and Fields as his QB, averaged 3.9 yards per carry, but in Detroit, he's averaging 4.4. Just a side note, Fields played in 10 games, but he really only played in the first 6. In the other 4 games, he took 13 snaps. Of the 10, he ran 7 times and threw once. I don't think Najee was really affected that much in those other 6 snaps. We don't even know if he was on the field. Odds are, I'd expect Harris to have seen more stacked fronts vs Fields than Harris.

  11. Got it, so you and Biles are douche's. That's all we needed to clarify. Thanks. We're done now?
  12. Wow! That's next gen incompetence right there. Like I said before, you need stop because no one has ever been more wrong on any topic, ever. #1 "Sports" and "Women's Sports"? There's a women's and men's division already, you can't make them more inclusive unless you allow men to play in women's sports and women to play in men's. #2 Gaines said suggested to have a trans category. Biles apparently agrees with her. I don't think it's a stupid idea, I just don't think it'll work because of... a) biological women will not want to compete against biological men and 2) there wouldn't be enough representation in each sport. If I grant you that I am an idiot, then what does make you... AS: 1) Gaines and Biles agree that men shouldn't be allowed in sports. 2) Gaines and Biles agree that a possible solution would be to make them their own category. 3) Gaines was an actual victim (men playing in women's sports were NOT). 4) Other biological women were and are, actual victims, not the men playing in women's sports). So, Biles and Gaines agree.. Biles calls out Gaines and acts like a douche, and you agree with her. So, what's that make you and Biles?
  13. She literally said it, and I quoted it "finding a way to make sports inclusive". The only way to make it more inclusive than it already is, is to make the rule and/or law, to lock it in as 'legal'. How is that NOT saying she's ok with men in sports?
  14. I quoted her, I got it right. Also, Gaines said the same thing. What Biles did, as I also quoted, shows she's ok with men in women's sports. Maybe you need to take a Hooked on Phonics class. Biles was being a douche because she needs to virtue signal. Why? I don't know, but that's all it was. I see no problem with Gaines calling her out as a douche. She's right for doing so. It's probably in your best interest to stop acting like Biles (douche), and stop with YOUR "obsession" with Gaines. You're on the losing side.
  15. LOL, well, she kinda had to because she was the only one acting like a child... Gaines was perfectly fine. You would be wrong then. If someone says "finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue", it means that while a separate category is acceptable, so is including them. "Include"... "Inclusive". I mean, it's right there.
  16. I thought you said Biles only apologized for her personal attacks on Gaines, and not her stance on trans athletes. Gaines here, is talking about Biles' stance on trans athletes (to wit, Biles did NOT apologize for).

He wasn't even all that good in Philly. In his best fantasy season, he only played 12 games and he was RB20 at 14 fpg. His best full season was 2022 when he played all 17 games and finished as RB22 (in terms of fpg at 12.7), total points-wise, he was RB15. He's most likely a mid-to-low tier RB3, at best.

    Yankees Anthony Volpe’s dad

I sent the link to the article you posted to a friend who is a Phillies fan. He said that reminds him of when he was at a game after Mickey Moniak was called up. It was the 2021 season, as it was coming to a close, he's not getting any hits only getting 1 AB a game at the time. The kid strikes out and his batting average drops below .100 (yes, .100). Some dude is trashing the kid and said something to the effect of "I can't believe they gave you $6M". A guy, right next to my friend yelled over to him (just 2 rows and 5 seats away), "How much have you made in the major leagues"? That other dude tells him to pizz off. The guy next to my friend and starts laughing, leans over to my friend and said that Mickey was his nephew. Pulled out his wallet and showed him some pictures. My friend says the kid's uncle was a really nice dude. But that's the right way to handle the situation.

On Bryce Young (he might be good)

In what scoring system is that? There was 9, if you count Joe Milton and Garoppolo who only played in 1 game.

    Yankees Anthony Volpe’s dad

If I were Volpe's dad, I'd sit there and laugh out loud while my kid is one of only 20,000 people to ever play in MLB, and this dope is telling my kid that he stinks.

    5 bold predictions 2025

Two? They only drafted two. Are you saying that Allen is "good"? Is he even going to make the team? If he does, I don't think you'll have to worry about Etienne, because I don't think all 4 of those guys are going to be on the team.
  22. TBayXXXVII

On Bryce Young (he might be good)

If you're in a 1 QB league, very few QB's are worth drafting. Well, it depends on where you think the drop off or value is. Meaning, at what point is the difference nominal? Last year, 12 QB's averaged over 17 fpg. If you don't think there's a draftable difference between 15 and 18 point guys and view them all as streamers, then only 7 QB's averaged 19 fpg. The number increases to 10 QB's if you reduce the range to 17 instead of 18. So, if you're in a 12-team league and you don't have a top 6 (20 or more fpg), there's not really much of a point in drafting a QB. In 2023, there were only 4 (the next 10 had a maximum gap of 1.8 fpg). Obviously, the top 5/10/15 change every year and the we don't know the results ahead of time. For that reason, we draft QB's in the hope that find one of those top end guys. Let's say the top end "draftable" QB is at 19 fpg. FFToday's QB projections only has 4 QB's hitting that number (323 total points - standard scoring). ESPN has 6. One website I looked at, has 5... yes, all 5 are the same: Allen, Burrow, Jackson, Hurts, and Daniels (Mahomes was #6 on ESPN). Between #7 (Mayfield) & #17 (Lawrence), ESPN is projecting a 1.8 fpg difference. Between #6 (Mayfield) & #15 (Herbert), FFToday is projecting a 1.9 fpg difference. Between #6 (Mayfield) & #21 (Tua), a website I looked at is projecting a 2.2 fpg difference. All 3 of those sources seem to agree that Young will be around 15 fpg. What's "Draftable" to you?
  23. TBayXXXVII

On Bryce Young (he might be good)

At quick glance, I'm thinking this might be cherry picking. I looked at the box scores of his last 7 games, and I'm not seeing anything that stands out. I don't have a Fantasy Pros account, but their preview of QB plays over 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards... Young didn't rank in the top 8 of any of those categories.

Anybody ever get a DNA test for their pup?

Gotchya. I never had a dog, so I never had to deal with that. My brother has, and on a couple occasions I needed to bring them to the vet, but they were all pure bred Boxers and absolutely looked it, so my guess is that's why they never asked me what breed they were and why I never offered the information. Makes sense though.

Anybody ever get a DNA test for their pup?

Seems reasonable. Thanks. Probably couldn't hurt to know for training purposes. I'm guessing breed and how quick or susceptible to training they are, may go hand-in-hand.
