I think kids leave too early, too often, to go to the pros and not fully develop. I think a lot of times they go for the money and get thrown into the fire too quick. Sure, some of the best work out just fine, but not everyone is like that. I'm going out on a limb here and say this may be something good that comes from this mess. Kids who were overlooked during the recruiting process got better coaching at schools from the MAC or whatever, than they did in HS. Now, the bigger colleges see them play and they opportunities in the Big10. If they get a 5th year automatically instead of having to jump through hoops to get it, it could increase the overall talent the draft pool. In a way, it could reduce the importance on the top picks.

Reading up on things, it appears building a wall takes an act of congress where as getting Greenland doesn't. Acquiring Greenland would be an international issue and hence would be up to the United Nations. If the Prime Minister of Greenland put the issue to a public vote and it passed, and Trump did the same here in the US and it passed, it would move to the UN to decide to ratify the annexation or not. This is my impression though. Everything I read up on says that annexation is illegal... unless... [a bunch of stuff, never a straight answer].

Cousins was coming back from an injury that is just as impactful as an ACL to a RB... and that was only just a year ago. Any RB coming back from an ACL isn't 100% just 10 months later. In fact, virtually everyone expects diminished returns that year. The following year however, is something that could be seen as the bounce back year. For Cousins, that's next year. Yes, the Falcons are doubling down on stupid because they knew the likelihood of this outcome, still signed him, and then benched (and possibly will cut), him before he's really back. They should've let the year play out. Be it Cousins or Penix, they're not going anywhere this year. Why create even more drama than they already had? Finish the season and going into next year with the intent of playing Cousins. If he loses the job, fine, they're only on the hook for a $35M cap hit for 2026. That's not the end of the world. Cut him after this season, they go into next year with a $65M dead cap hit. If the Falcons had a great defense and were say 10-5 right now, and Cousins was the reason they weren't 13-2, then ok. That's not the case. They're essentially a league average team in a below average division. Even if they make the playoffs and get a home game, they're 1 and done. What did that accomplish?

I don't know, I didn't look at any of the documentation. I'm simply saying that if he did commit a crime then I fully support him being prosecuted. If he's found guilty, throw him in jail for however long. Doesn't bother me any.
