  1. I don't have a problem with that being allowed. Those are more essential than fast food, frozen foods, or other junk.
  2. I think SNAP is too lenient. It allows for the purchase of frozen foods and other crappy grocery items. Some states allow fast food to be purchased with EBT cards. If people are on government assistance, the government should absolutely control what you use it on. It should be restricted to only the necessities and that's it. Fruits, vegetables, and only "unprepared" foods. No frozen dinners. No frozen chicken nuggets/patties. No boxed pizza. No fast food. No Oreos. No sugary drinks. The reasoning is very simple. None of those things are necessary. On top of that. SNAP and Medicaid essentially go hand-in-hand. Tax payers are paying for these people eating then we're paying for their medical costs when the food their buying isn't healthy.
  3. I understood his point to be that over the last 20 years, tariffs are the reason India's inflation rate was terrible and projected to be worse over the next 10. This chart told me the opposite of their inflation rate. While not great, it has been trending downward the last 15 years with a tick upward during COVID. India has put tariffs on imports for over 125 years. I have a hard time believing that they're all of a sudden going to cause the inflation rate to go back up again... especially since it's been declining for 15 years.
  4. What you're saying and what this chart is reading, is 2 very different things. This chart tells me that in 2000, their inflation rate has been less erratic than previousdecades. It also tells me that in 2000, their inflation rate was around 4.3% and currently at 5.6% and trending downward. Their rate had been higher, it has been lower, but for the bulk of the last 25 years, they've been between 4 & 6% regularly. In 2010, it peaked at about 12%... but went as low as 3.7% just prior to COVID. So, over that decade it was trending down regularly. Sure, like everyone else, it went up during COVID, but its coming down. A reasonable person would say that if it weren't for COVID, they'd probably be in the shape in 30 years.

UPDATE: New team for Mr. Rodgers - Pittsburgh

I could see that if they traded out of the #1 spot. That would tell me that they don't believe in any of these QB's long term and are willing to give Levis 1 more year and Rodgers to back him up or just beat him out in the preseason. If Levis wins the job and stinks again, they'll probably end up in the top 5 next year, plus have someone else's 1st to move up if necessary.

    CIVIL WAR II - 2025

I have 2 cousins like that. I have a FB account that I almost never visit, but in 2015 two of my cousins were sending messages to all of their friends. I got one and it read "Hey, just wanted to check in with you to see how you were doing... and to ask if you were voting for that piece of racist or Hillary." I said, "Neither, I'm voting for Donald Trump". Got no response, just got unfriended. No skin off my back. At family parties, we now know who voted for Hillary, Biden, and Harris and who voted for Trump, because those 2 cousins don't talk to anyone who voted for Trump. That includes their brother and parents. Neither showed up to their dad's funeral 2 years ago.

    CIVIL WAR II - 2025

I would prefer that we just get rid of Democrats from the federal government. Reduce it the Fed to what it was supposed to be and have states run themselves as they see fit.

Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading

In the 80's and 90's the Democrats pushed him to run for President. Yeah, weird how they turned on him when his platform never changed.
  10. I hope he takes a lot of leftists with him.

Chances Earth are destroyed now up to 3.1%

Does this coincide with AOC's 12 year's declaration? Edit: CLOSE!!! In 2019 she said 12 years... 2032 will be 13. Hmmm....
  12. If a bill were proposed in congress that gender surgery is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 (always), AND no government agency will pay for anyone over 18 (meaning prisoners like Harris promoted), including no trans people allowed in "WOMEN's" changing / dressing / locker / bath rooms, 100% of Republican's would sign it. Willing to bet there wouldn't be 100% on the left. I will grant the premise that Republican's do not want mentally ill people in the military.
  13. That makes sense. I find it ironic though. The government and school will give an 18 year old a hundred thousand dollars to go to school and trust they'll pay it back, yet, they don't trust that same 18 year old with said hundred thousand dollars in hand.

The Golden Age Of Corruption has begun

Oh, I get it. You don't like it when people in government make money off of being in government. Correction... you only have a problem if Republican's do it. Or at least, it only bothers you if Republican's do it.
  16. Sadly, only one side of the aisle understands this.

The Golden Age Of Corruption has begun

Biden gave Musk/Tesla the government contract, not Trump. Also, Trump's State Department removed Tesla from that contract. So maybe your issue should be with Biden and Democrats. You don't think that was a Democrat plan? Put Trump's biggest supporter in line to get a boatload of cash from the government so they can gaslight about Trump? You're not too bright. How's Musk on the government dole? He's not getting paid.
  18. Gotchya. I think there probably is some merit to that argument, but I think being that specific is rather disingenuous. I do know there are student loans you can get for living expenses, but there, I don't know if that's given to you cash-in-hand (or debit account), or again, just paid to the school directly. I do believe that the vast majority of people complaining about the loans are people who never took the financial aspect seriously. They never actually saw the money, so to them, it was 'out of sight, out of mind', and never really paid attention to the end result. That could possibly be what he was talking about.
  19. When I got loans, I never saw the cash, it went right to the school. Are things different today?
  20. I value the degree based on what Alumni is making. So, for example, if accounting graduates from Ole Miss average $65k a year, the Ole Miss should charge less than Alabama. Schools should not be allowed to charge based on other schools. If accountant grads from Vanderbilt make $95k, neither Alabama nor Ole Miss can charge off of that, because their graduates aren't getting those jobs. If other schools want to charge more money, then they need to improve their programs. If someone changes majors then their tuition changes accordingly. They're still responsible to pay for the prorated portion of the prior program... you don't get that for free. This also protects students from being conned. Majoring in gender studies or some stupid crap like that has no future, so the school won't offer that as a degree program. Maybe just a class or two as electives.
  21. States should do an economic inventory of what the 7-year average income of graduates in their field of study by the graduates from their in-state schools. Then, assume what a reasonable percentage would be in that industry to pay a loan back in 10 years. That's the cap at which a school can charge in-state students. So, lets say Alabama University Accounting graduates average $75k a year over a 7-year period... or $525k. How much of that gross, is a reasonable amount to charge a person over a 10-year period for that degree? Let's call it 15%.... just short of $80k. So, Alabama University can only charge incoming accounting majors, $80k for an accounting degree. Said graduate gets a loan of $80k and has 10 years to pay it back... or $8k per year. That percentage isn't locked in stone. Figure out a number... or make it payable over 15 years. Something like that. Why is this fair? it prevents price gouging. Alabama University had a net income of $2.7B for the 2021-2022 school year. They're not hurting for money.
  22. He's not as good as his dad. Through their first 6 seasons, Vlad Sr has better numbers across the board than Jr... it's not really even all that close.
