It's definitely NOT the second sentence. I believe the first one though. The Gruden trial may point us in that direction. My guess is that the NFL wouldn't sell off the network to ESPN if they didn't agree to drop that documentary. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped it because after putting it together in the most woke possible way, they couldn't make it work for them.

He shouldn't have to go far... MDC posted Trump's message, like 7 posts after his initial one.

Says the fascist who thinks Democrats are the only one's who can gerrymander.

LOL, he essentially said as much.

Border Patrol agents stage show of force at Newsom’s ‘big beautiful press conference’
TBayXXXVII replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
Democrats golden boy Obama only got 61%, getting 8.2M. He dropped a little bit in 2012 with just over 60% and 7.85M. She wasn't that far off from him percentage-wise with 58.5%... but she got more votes than him, at 9.2M. So CA votes 60% Democrat at the federal level but have over 80% of the congressional seats, that's "good"... yet, Texas votes about 58% at the federal level and get about 65% of the congressional seats, and that's too many? -
He said Mail-in voting, he didn't say "Absentee" voting. There are 8 states that just mail out ballots to people. This is who I believe he's talking about.
-
Last election, 58% voted for Harris in California, but Democrats have over 80% of the congressional seats. In Texas, Trump got 56% of the vote, Republican's have 66% of the congressional seats. Seems to me that Texas is trying to make things even with California.
-
Hypocrisy at it's finest. No response?
-
Absentee ballots should only be made available to those who request it.

Sauce is only used when someone fock's it up. This is only done at someone's house where I don't feel the need to call someone out. If I'm at a restaurant and paying for it, it better come out the way I want it or I'm sending it back.

Me or them??

That's fair. I think mocks are tough to go by because they are more likely to be deceptive. In mocks, you have some people draft 2 players and bail, some not show up after signing up just to see the results, and others taking odd picks to see what the chain reaction is.

That tells me "Late round flyer". Goedert has a ceiling... his floor is pretty low because you don't know how many games he'll miss. I'm thinking both are viewed as backups, so a person is saying, "Would I rather have an aging guy who's on a low volume team with a limited upside or a young guy who may be worse... but could be a lottery ticket". More times than not, they're taking the lottery ticket over the aging veteran with limited upside.
-
Obviously every draft is different but if you took Bijan #1, at the 2/3 turn, ADP puts these guys potentially there when you pick... 23 Bucky Irving 24 Kyren Williams 25 Ladd McConkey 26 Chase Brown 28 Tee Higgins I'm not sure I'd be upset with one of those 3 RB's and McConkey or Higgins. These are potential targets at the 4/5 turn.... 45 Chuba Hubbard 46 DJ Moore 47 James Conner 48 DK Metcalf 50 Courtland Sutton 52 TreVeyon Henderson That looks pretty good too. Robinson Williams McConkey Moore Sutton ... I'm pretty happy with that. Robinson McConkey Higgins Hubbard/James Conner Henderson/Sutton ... I'm pretty happy with that too. Where's the dislike there?
-
Here's my guess, and @nobody may concur... availability is a players best ability. You can almost assure yourself that Goedert will miss 4 games. Since his rookie season, he's missed 1 every year. Over the last 5 seasons, he's missed 22 games, averaging 4 per year (averaging 5 games missed over the last 3), players don't get healthier as they get older. If people are using cheatsheets/rankings, where assumed games missed is being taken into account, they'll find Goedert way down in their rankings. If you're ok with your TE missing a quarter to one-third of the season, then take him at the discount and be happy. There's also recent history. The Eagles threw the ball less than 450 times last year. Yeah, Kellen Moore is gone, but the passing game coordinator got promoted. My guess is that people are anticipating more of the same as last year, being a more run-oriented offense.

Border Patrol agents stage show of force at Newsom’s ‘big beautiful press conference’
TBayXXXVII replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
I'm not saying you're claiming that California is, I'm saying Tim, people like him (Rusty, Gutterboy, etc, and the MSM), are making them out to be this. All politician's suck, at all times, I think they're always lying and/or... not telling the whole truth, to satisfy their own personal gain. That's why I just vote on a belief system, regardless of who the candidate is. -

TBayXXXVII replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
I don't disagree with you. I'm simply pointing out to Tim, that California "reacting" is trying to hold faux superiority because they already did what Texas is doing. Simply, they're being hypocrites and the left (people like Tim and the MSM), are cheering them on. -

So your answer is, California can do it, Texas can't? If Texas does, California still can? -

So you're saying that Texas is wrong for neutralizing California? The last election... In California, Harris got 58.5% of the popular vote... they currently have 82.6% of the congressional seats. In Texas, Trump got 56.1% of the popular vote...they currently have 65.8% of the congressional seats. If Texas looks to gain 5 seats with their redistricting, that'll put them at 78.9% Looks to me like they can do a little more work to add another seat. -
The case for free trade and open immigration
TBayXXXVII replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Call it what you want, my point remains on tariffs. If someone is imposing it on us, I'm fine with the same. We do have open immigration. Almost no one has a problem with this, not sure why this is an issue unless you want to use it as a stepping stone for open borders. -
The case for free trade and open immigration
TBayXXXVII replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
No argues against free trade. Some of us point out that we (the US), shouldn't be the only country that this applies to. If someone is putting tariffs on our imports, I have no problem with reciprocation. Open borders is an absurd idea. I'll never agree with it. -
I can see your point. Carroll generally force-feeds his situation into more heavily relying on the run than the pass. I think he's kind of setting that up in Vegas with drafting Jeanty. What's interesting though, is that the with Geno Smith (post Russell Wilson), in Seattle, Pete Carroll's offense was definitely throwing more often. Geno averaged 33.5 passes per game while averaged 30... but over the last 3 years with Wilson, he averaged 32. He got more willing to pass as the league shifted. Wilson, in his first 4 seasons, only averaged 27 attempts per game. I think Carroll has evolved with the league enough to know that he needs to throw more often than he used to. In those years you mentioned with Graham, about his less than expected fantasy production, he was still the second most targeted player on the team. I just think the offense wasn't very good because those years were really bad for he Seahawks in terms of the talent at RB. It was a lot more of "Russell, you do it". That's not a good recipe for the passing game. That likely won't be the situation in Vegas. Geno knows what Carroll wants. I think Chip Kelly will have an offense that will maximize the talent he has. I mean, his offenses at OSU were pretty potent. Look at this way, with LeSean McCoy at RB and Mark Sanchez and Nick Foles at QB, Jeremy Maclin had 1300 yards and 10 TDs... Jordan Mathews almost had 900 yards and 8 TD's on 67 receptions and had a top 5 offense. Riley Cooper had an 800 yard 8 TD season with Chip Kelly. Back in 2021, I said Brady would throw for 5000 yards and 50 TD's. He threw for 5300 and 43... I wasn't that far off. I said I expect both Godwin and Evans to have WR1 seasons (if they stayed healthy). I wasn't too far off there either.... Evans was WR9 and Godwin WR15. Though, if you look at fpg, Godwin was 7th and Evans was 11th. The reason for those predictions was volume. I fully expected the Bucs to throw the ball 700 times... Brady had 719 attempts that year. How does that translate? I expect Geno Smith to throw the ball at least 550 times this year. So, who's getting the targets? How many targets do you expect Jakobi to get? Bech? Tucker? In order, I'll say 110, 55, & 70... bringing us up to 235 leaving us with about 315 left out there. Let's be generous and say 75 to the other WR's and TE's... that's still 240 left. Last year, Mattison & Abdullah accounted for 95 pass targets... they're both gone. In their place is Jeanty and Mostert, and neither are noted pass catchers. Want to give them 80? We're down to 160... that's about where Bowers was last year. Let's be negative and say he gets 140, catches 68% for 10 ypr... that's 95 receptions for 950 yards... we'll give him the same 5 TD's. That's 220 fantasy points. Last year, that's TE4. I think that's his floor. Interestingly enough, he was TE3 in terms of fpg.

Nice straw man. You said it was a "lie". That's incorrect. A lie is knowing what is true, yet saying the opposite. That's where I said you were wrong and told you what hyperbole was. Take the "L" and walk away. You don't even have to admit it, just walk away.
-
So instead of taking an "L" and walking away (again), you keep digging your hole deeper? A hyperbole is an exaggeration of the truth to which should not be taken literally. That does not mean, "it's a lie". I hope you put your metal helmet on when you leave the house this morning.
