2025 NFL Draft Profile - CB/WR Travis Hunter

They still need to give him help though. He may be a bust in the sense that he was expected to be a stud, elite/true franchise QB. He may be able to be a competent starter, but if they keep giving him crappy RB's, crappy OLine, and no help on the outside, they're just wasting him. It took them 4 seasons just to get him a guy like Thomas. I think if he were on Tampa, he'd put up similar numbers to Mayfield. It's kind of funny because I use him as an example all the time when talking to Bucs fans. Some of these people think we have a Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson type QB... they even think Mayfield is better than Burrow. The dude is an average/adequate starter who I think is no different than Lawrence. The only difference between the two is situation. They tell me I'm nuts because they think Lawrence sucks. Then I point out that he has 2 seasons where he threw for 4k yards like Mayfield and 3 years with a QBR over 55 (where Mayfield only has 2). Then I get, "did he ever throw for 40 TD's?", to which I ask, did he ever have a great OLine, great backfield, and great WR's? I even ask them why he doesn't get the benefit of 6 years like Mayfield to get that many TD's. LOL, they don't like that. Heaven forbid you tell people you think they overrate their QB.

2025 NFL Draft Profile - CB/WR Travis Hunter

If Lawrence isn't a bust, then I can understand your optimism. A few weeks ago, I thought Lawrence would be a great late round pick because 1) Look how good Coen made Mayfield look and 2) I figured that they were going to use Hunter as a WR... then 2 things have come to light that made me start to think differently. The first is Travis Hunter. My thinking was that these coaches should be smart enough to know that a two-way player in the NFL is an absurd idea. It's way to physically demanding. My thought was that while Hunter may occasionally be used on defense in rare circumstances, he would be on the field opposite Thomas all game long. The other thing was that I found out that Thomas was a lot better with Mac Jones than Trevor Lawrence.... In Weeks 1-9, Thomas averaged 6 targets with 4 receptions for 66 yards and 0.6 TD's per game which comes out to 14.2 fpg and WR24. In Weeks 11-17, he averaged 10 targets with 6.5 receptions for 86 yards and 0.6 TD's per game which comes out to 18.7 fpg and WR4. That's a bit concerning.
  4. @TimHauck Who's depending on AI? I'm simply stating that I couldn't find anything, neither could AI. We both came up with the same result. The question I asked Chatgpt is the same one I typed into Google. Both yielded the same result... nothing.
  5. Yeah, well we both know they're wrong.
  6. I couldn't find any reference to a team he played for. I took a shot in the dark and asked Chatgpt "What professional soccer team did Jerce Reyes Barrios play for?" This was the response: I couldn't locate any publicly documented details naming a **specific professional club** that Jerce Reyes Barrios played for. Major news outlets (ABC, NPR, Newsweek, LatinTimes, etc.) describe him as a "professional soccer player" and "coach" from Venezuela, but none provide the name of any club he represented ([npr.org][1]). Based on available sources: * He is consistently referred to as a former **professional soccer player** and youth coach in Venezuela, with no criminal record ([npr.org][1]). * However, **no identified professional team is named** in connection with his career in media reports ([abc7ny.com][2], [latintimes.com][3], [metroworldnews.com][4]). Unless more detailed biographical sources emerge, such as interviews or Venezuelan local media profiles, the exact club affiliation remains unspecified in available public records. Let me know if you’d like me to dig into specialized Venezuelan football archives or Spanish‑language sources! That time of year again: Camp injury news (Jaydon Blue)

We already knew he was no longer a stud RB, if that's what you mean by this. Or did something come out where he got hurt again?

    Dexter Resurrection.

Yup, them and the Pirates. LOL The only baseball I grew up with was going to Bradenton to watch the Pirates Spring Training and Single-A team. I'm a glutton for punishment. I expect the Bucs get 10 or 11 wins. We're only going to go as far as our defense takes us.

    Dexter Resurrection.

You won't find me there. lol I moved out of Florida when I was 11.
  11. TBayXXXVII

    Dexter Resurrection.

I think Lithgow was great, but I think the story was forced because they needed to get like 12 episodes... it could've been done in like 6 or 7. Got tired at late.

    Dexter Resurrection.

Yup... though, I think it went downhill after they killed Doakes in season 2. I never watched New Blood, don't plan on it nor Resurrection.

    Terry McLaurin

Spotrac.com has his market value at $24.5M AAV, so your thinking is inline with theirs. I'm in that neighborhood as well. I think they've backed themselves into a corner. After this season, Deebo can walk and so can McLaurin. Their next two best(?), WR's are Luke McCaffrey who they drafted last year and Jaylin Lane who they took in the 4th this year. That's pretty scary. According to Spotrac.com, these 6 are the only UFA's next year, with a market value over $10M: George Pickens (25.3) $25,288,663 Terry McLaurin (30.8) $24,544,460 Jauan Jennings (29.0) $19,069,692 Jakobi Meyers (29.7) $17,393,220 DeAndre Hopkins (34.1) $15,193,354 Romeo Doubs (26.2) $11,935,141 I wouldn't pay any of them more than that. I can't imagine paying anyone other than McLaurin, within $5M of their number. Not sure if that bodes well or not for Washington. My guess is that with the very few options available, this might be a sellers market for McLaurin. He might get a big number from a team who's in need of WR help. I can see Miami, the Jets, Patriots, and the Browns, who would likely be interested in bringing in a known commodity at WR.
  14. If I draft a QB from Indy this year, it will be Leonard. He's the only one who's ceiling isn't known as "suck".

The NFL is as big as it is, solely, because of betting. That's it. Baseball was the breadwinner before fantasy football and gambling. You're absolutely right. Fantasy football being an easy game, is the reason why the NFL is as big as it is. Without it, the NFL would be below baseball once again. Football would go back to the days when people would just watch their home team and just following scores of other games. Primetime money/viewership would plummet.
  16. I think they oppose it because they weren't thinking as criminally as the Democrats were. They were being selfish jackazzes. LOL Like I said, all they have to do is conspire with close friends and family members to sell off their investments to. Then, give them the tips, the close friends and family members react accordingly and the politician is absolved of any wrong doing. At the end of their run in government, they buy their investments back and money made. They walk away free and clear. I'd vote against it if I was suspicious of the other members and wanting to make sure they didn't get a workaround handed to them on a silver platter.
  17. I see it the opposite. The Act doesn't accomplish any goal they're trying to achieve. It allows the politician to find other avenues to illegally trade on the market and give them a get out of jail free card. I can give Howley the benefit of the doubt, that this wasn't his objective, as I saw a video on him having a problem with the way things are and he wants them to stop. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. But this Act won't work... it'll actually insulate the politician from being held accountable. The politician and their spouse could just sell their holdings to their kids, parents, or siblings for $1, then after they're out of office, buy them back for $1. How does that prevent anything. To me, the problem is the people voting for it, not against it. Now, I'll re-iterate what I said earlier... this is my take from reading the communist propaganda website, I didn't read the Act itself (yet).
  18. Then this Act won't work. So why vote for it? To pass this Act is to address the outcome, not the problem. This IS my biggest issue with all of government. They never fix the cause/source of the problem, just try to create new results. If the SEC and DOJ aren't doing their jobs, then they need to be held accountable. Now, if there isn't a way to do that, then they both need to be disbanded. If the result of that is no stock market, then so be it. The problem is that the SEC and DOJ are government entities who get their duties by political appointments. It's like a brother hiring his brother to oversee what he's doing. Yeah, that'll work. The only solution at that point then, since disbanding the stock market would never fly, is that anyone who wins public office, their spouse, and 1st and 2nd level family members (top and bottom... parents, grandparents, kids, grandkids, first cousins and second cousins), ALL must divest all of their stock holdings. On top of that, anyone they hire, their parents, grandparents, spouse, kids, grandkids, first cousins, and second cousins... must do the same. If that means I won't see con men lawyers in congress, I can live happily with that. There isn't a single elected official in DC has earned any benefit of the doubt in terms of trust. I think they're all lying, all of the time. They tell people what people want to hear instead of what the people need to hear, because they're afraid of losing their gravy train. To vote FOR the Act is a bigger red flag to me that to vote AGAINST it. It's just telling politicians other ways to insulate themselves from being held accountable. Also, there isn't a law that mandates candidates to put their assets in a blind trust, they only have to disclose all of their holdings.

    Gerrymandering

LOL, yeah, sure. No one believes that.
  20. I only read the communist propaganda website, not the Act yet. From what I read, I'd have voted against it too. If the Act forces the politician and their spouse (only), to divest from the stock market, Insider Trading laws already address this. What's the point? The politician and their spouse have the ability to sell their shares to their kids, friends, and other family members and then buy them back at the same price when they're out of office. It doesn't sound like this Act would actually accomplish anything.
  21. TBayXXXVII

    Gerrymandering

I assumed that was sarcasm, because he didn't think there was a swamp when Trump said he wanted to drain it back in 2015. He laughed at the idea.

    Gerrymandering

No condemnation for when Maryland and Illinois did it? Weird.

I have a feeling the Pirates will not be trading anyone of substance. I can see Pham, Heaney, or a random bullpen arm getting moved, but I don't see Keller, Bednar, Cruz, or Hayes getting traded. If one of those 4 are, I think it's Bednar.
