I don't disagree with you. I was merely commenting on his initial post of "availability being the best ability", being overused. I initially said that I think he's oversimplifying, but in retrospect, I think he's just hearing way more often than I think he his... or at least, hearing it way more often than I do. I don't think I hear that phrase more than 2 or 3 times a year, and in those circumstances, they're comparing like players to justify why Player A over Player B, as the deciding factor. The rest about injuries/injury prone, I'm just having fun with @nobody, that's all.
-
Well, no one is comparing Mahomes to Richardson in the first place. If they are, then they're idiots, and the discussion about availability would be moot. If they're using that saying in that context (Mahomes/Richardson), you are correct... I just don't think people are. Well, at least to the extent you think so, but I could be wrong. I only ever hear it when the discussion is about 2 (or more), similar players. Like I said previously, Mayfield / Tua would be an apt comparison. Another one could be Henry / McCaffrey. Nobody: "Just say the guy gets injured too much." Nobody (2028): "Hot take: Why is the phrase 'the guy gets injured too much', overused"? To note, I've heard many people say 'How come everyone says players are 'Injury prone'? Everyone in the NFL gets injured. It's so overused'.

Ah yes, the old 'I know you are but what am I' response. Well done. I believe this confirms you being in an elementary school.

I've found that the majority of times that people make "Bold" predictions, it's to have absurd takes and not be held accountable for ones they get wrong, but boast for the one or two they get right.

Jefferson was ranked that high with Sam Darnold.

Oh, I know what it means, you just have a lack of awareness.

On a Google feed, I saw that Clark's team was 3-1 with her, 1-4 without her. Also, Reece's team has 2 wins. That's funny.

Wait, that's what he was doing? I thought he was posting links to a bunch of idiots for us to laugh at. -
Wouldn't be surprised if he set it up.

Alex Padilla Thread - US Senator from California.

So let me get this straight.... people who left their country to illegally enter our country, is protesting our country using flags/heritage of that country which they voluntarily left to make a better life for themselves... and there's people in this country who agree with them? -
Trump sues E. Jean Carroll for defamation
TBayXXXVII replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
That does it. I'm never voting for Donald Trump again. Unless he runs for a political office. -
That's more indicative of the teams he was on than him. He's been a pretty solid QB on about 11 teams that weren't good. With the Raiders, 7 of the 9 seasons... the defense ranked in the bottom 10 in the league. Also, his best weapon was 1 year of Davante Adams. Amari Cooper, regardless of where he played, was either a stud or invisible on a weekly basis and you never knew which one you were going to get. He never had a good RB until his 6th year. That year, his best receiver was a TE. The following year (2020), they had a top 10 offense and their defense ranked 30th. No one ever said Carr was great, but he was a solid/competent QB... similar to about 80% of the QB's in his era. The only difference is that he never had a good coach, offense, or defense to help him.
-
I think you're oversimplifying. Clearly, no one talking about the NFL knows who you are... hence, they'll never compare you to an NFL player. They're also making the point that if you're not on the field, you're not helping your team. This is pretty obvious, no? Then there's context. No one is saying the difference between Mahomes and Richardson is availability... but they would say that with respect to Mayfield vs Tua. Across the board, Tua's metrics are better than Mayfield's... except like 1, and it took a career year by Mayfield to even sneak past Tua. Yet, Tua is likely to miss 3 or 4 games every year and outside of 1 season, Mayfield's been very durable. When given the choice, availability could be the difference maker in why someone would choose Mayfield over Tua.

I would take Jefferson ahead of Gibbs, but after that, I'm with you. I'm taking Gibbs for the reason you describe. Last year in my big money keeper league, I had Chase, Godwin, & Aiyuk. Lost R. Rice early, but when I lost Aiyuk in W7, then Godwin W8, I put in JSN & Courtland Sutton. From W8 to the end of the season, both were WR1's... JSN was WR 9 and Sutton was WR 7.

Parents call out unfairness as trans pitcher throws shutout in Minnesota softball state quarterfinals
TBayXXXVII replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
Ok, you're acting like a 10 year old little b!tch, so I'll treat you like one. Fine. Ok little b!tch, here it is, wrapped up in a little bow. YOU claimed that Gaines point was that girls/women, being forced to play against boys (hence, on the field), was akin to sexual abuse (heaven forbid I misquoted you, while the point still remained the same). YOUR assessment was based on a tweet that Gaines posted of a group picture of the girls softball team... it wasn't a quote. So, it was what YOU think, was the point she was making. I gave you an article stating what Gaines' argument on this topic has been... and it's never changed. It's about girls/women, being forced by the school/government/governing bodies, to be naked (showers), in front of naked men, being akin to sexual abuse. So, even though I proved you wrong... AND Gaines herself proved you wrong in that Fox show you noted, you still haven't admitted you were wrong. YOU claimed that Gaines was a bigot. Gaines has NEVER ONCE said that trans people should be ignored, she only said that they don't belong in women's sports. Now, I do believe she has said that they should have their own category, but I don't recall. I do KNOW that she never said to ignore them. So, there really is no reason for Biles to call out Gaines, at all, unless Biles is being the bigot. Gaines says men don't belong in women's sports. If Biles is ok with that, then I'm not surprised that is her stance, now that it doesn't directly affect her anymore (see Megan Rapinoe). If she doesn't, then she agrees with Gaines. So, why call her out? I'll tell you why, it's because she, like you in this thread, is being a little b!tch, and wants attention. Her objective is greed, ego, and vanity... to stay important for some post-gymnastics career. Again, odd that's her objective considering that's why she needed a "mental health" break during the Olympics. Yours seems to be a Napoleon Complex. She took the "L" because she knows she was wrong about the personal attacks towards Gaines and that she actually doesn't disagree with Gaines about boys/men not belonging in girls/women's sports. She apologized because she knows that the vast majority of the country agrees with Gaines. It's her attempt to pretend to stand up against conservative beliefs and come off as being morally superior. YOU are a fool for falling for it. -

L.A. ICE thread: US Marshal and an undocumented immigrant were shot in an L.A. immigration raid
TBayXXXVII replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
So, to make sure we're correctly identifying things.... It's NOT ok to use government resources to have a parade for a President (note, as mentioned in that thread, I think ALL parades are stupid). It's NOT ok to protest an election.. It IS ok to condemn people protesting an election. It IS ok to use government resources to evade federal law. Our country is patriarchal and we must fight against it. We must fight against people who want to protect women from men. We must fight for women's right to choose. We must fight against women who want to choose to be separate from men. -

It perfectly describes all forms of political activism. -
Personally, I think ALL parades are dumb... a waste of time and money.
