Here's my reasoning, we all saw the campaign they ran. It was all about the "Who's who" of victimhood. They never discussed the economy and immigration to the standards at which was obvious that were the most important to the citizens... as well as government funded transgender surgery as we later found out. Throughout the election run, even when Biden was the expected candidate, these topics were the most important according to all the polls (even though I'm not really a big supporter of them), and the only answers the Democrats had... and STILL to this day, talk about, is how Trump is a liar, a felon, and racist. They're playing the victim instead of discussing the topics. They wanted to win and hoped their bs campaign would work, but I don't think they expected it too. I mostly think it's the billionaires we don't know about, who fund the party, and the higher ups who just pander and never actually give answers. I don't think people like Elizabeth Warren even know who's calling the shots.

I didn't say they wanted to lose, I said they knew they were going to lose and were willing to accept it. Harris was the only candidate they could get to take job. No real candidate, like Shapiro in PA, wanted any part of this campaign. THAT's why he wasn't the VP choice. He and the party knew this was a losing ticket. It's why they chose Walz, who was just as unlikeable as Harris. They didn't care about him, he can go back to Minnesota and run for something there. Also, I noted that it was the people actually running the party. The true shot callers... not the rank and file morons like AOC and the like.

I wouldn't be surprised if the people actually running the Democrat party were perfectly fine with losing this past election. They know they focked up and didn't know how to get it back under control. So, their plan was to just let crap happen. If Harris won, they keep going while continually lying to the public that the problems of the country were set in place by Trump and useful idiots like some on this board, will go along with it. If Trump won, they wait until 2028 and blame Trump for everything that went wrong. The Democrats were going to either lose in 2024 or 2028. They knew this. They probably felt that it was better to lose in 2024 and hope that Trump fixes most of their fockups (yet still blame him for all kinds of crap), and take a shot at 8 straight years... 2028-2034, than it would be if they won in 2024 but lose from 2028-2034. To me, this is why Trump and Musk are more reliable than either of the two parties. With Trump and Musk, I know who's in charge. If Harris won, we know she wasn't in charge and have no idea who was, just like we have no idea who was calling the shots under Biden. Had someone other than Trump won the primary in 2015, Republican's would be in the same boat.

The ones that had evaluations, were the departments that were told they didn't have to respond. -

I'm guessing that's the idea, but I can tell you this, I would have loved to been a fly on the wall in some of those offices. -

They have until tonight, at midnight. So, IF they got in to work today on time, they would have 16 hours to complete the task. Do you need more than 16 hours to tell you boss what you did last week? -

The Real Reason Why Liberals Support Ukraine

I don't support either one. I think both countries are crooked and I don't see a reason why we need to say "we support this one because they're less crooked." -

I think every one of them are guilty of 1 of 2 things..... 1) Actively participating in illegal activity Or 2) Knowing illegal activity was going on, and looked the other way. -

A lot of this is true, except that second paragraph. Sounds like you think that's only one of the parties.

He wasn't lying, he was just naïve to think she was going to keep her job. Don't worry though, the libs will find another way to keep her on the payroll. -
Nah, we just need the right judge, like in NY to create a narrative of guilt.

Hopefully she ends up in federal prison. I'm ok with her being charged with treason.

Trump's team is reportedly interested in banning junk food purchases for 41 million SNAP users
TBayXXXVII replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I don't have a problem with that being allowed. Those are more essential than fast food, frozen foods, or other junk. -

TBayXXXVII replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I think SNAP is too lenient. It allows for the purchase of frozen foods and other crappy grocery items. Some states allow fast food to be purchased with EBT cards. If people are on government assistance, the government should absolutely control what you use it on. It should be restricted to only the necessities and that's it. Fruits, vegetables, and only "unprepared" foods. No frozen dinners. No frozen chicken nuggets/patties. No boxed pizza. No fast food. No Oreos. No sugary drinks. The reasoning is very simple. None of those things are necessary. On top of that. SNAP and Medicaid essentially go hand-in-hand. Tax payers are paying for these people eating then we're paying for their medical costs when the food their buying isn't healthy. -
LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs
TBayXXXVII replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
I understood his point to be that over the last 20 years, tariffs are the reason India's inflation rate was terrible and projected to be worse over the next 10. This chart told me the opposite of their inflation rate. While not great, it has been trending downward the last 15 years with a tick upward during COVID. India has put tariffs on imports for over 125 years. I have a hard time believing that they're all of a sudden going to cause the inflation rate to go back up again... especially since it's been declining for 15 years. -

TBayXXXVII replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
What you're saying and what this chart is reading, is 2 very different things. This chart tells me that in 2000, their inflation rate has been less erratic than previousdecades. It also tells me that in 2000, their inflation rate was around 4.3% and currently at 5.6% and trending downward. Their rate had been higher, it has been lower, but for the bulk of the last 25 years, they've been between 4 & 6% regularly. In 2010, it peaked at about 12%... but went as low as 3.7% just prior to COVID. So, over that decade it was trending down regularly. Sure, like everyone else, it went up during COVID, but its coming down. A reasonable person would say that if it weren't for COVID, they'd probably be in the shape in 30 years. -

UPDATE: New team for Mr. Rodgers - Pittsburgh
TBayXXXVII replied to weepaws's topic in FFToday Board
I could see that if they traded out of the #1 spot. That would tell me that they don't believe in any of these QB's long term and are willing to give Levis 1 more year and Rodgers to back him up or just beat him out in the preseason. If Levis wins the job and stinks again, they'll probably end up in the top 5 next year, plus have someone else's 1st to move up if necessary. -
I have 2 cousins like that. I have a FB account that I almost never visit, but in 2015 two of my cousins were sending messages to all of their friends. I got one and it read "Hey, just wanted to check in with you to see how you were doing... and to ask if you were voting for that piece of racist or Hillary." I said, "Neither, I'm voting for Donald Trump". Got no response, just got unfriended. No skin off my back. At family parties, we now know who voted for Hillary, Biden, and Harris and who voted for Trump, because those 2 cousins don't talk to anyone who voted for Trump. That includes their brother and parents. Neither showed up to their dad's funeral 2 years ago.

I would prefer that we just get rid of Democrats from the federal government. Reduce it the Fed to what it was supposed to be and have states run themselves as they see fit.

Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading

In the 80's and 90's the Democrats pushed him to run for President. Yeah, weird how they turned on him when his platform never changed.
