True or false, the game was already tied when Buckner made the error? True or false, there was a Game 7 after Buckner's error? True or false, the Red Sox had a 3-0 after 5 innings in Game 7? Boston had already given up the lead in Game 6, if he Buckner makes that play, the game still continues. Boston also still had a chance to win the World Series after losing that game, because the series was tied and in Game 7, had the lead. This error won the Dodgers the game and knocked the Phillies out of the playoffs. The series WAS over as a result of this play.

You're right. Buckner's error didn't cost them the series, this play literally did.

I'm just happy that I made the right call and traded Barkley in my keeper league in the off-season. Wish I was right when I traded a 5th round pick for Bowers. LOL

Find me 1 bill that was ever passed... that SOLVED a problem, where politicians didn't make out better than everyone else. I'll hang up and listen.

Look, I know you're naïve, but don't add complete moron to the list.

In my office league, I took Kyler Murray in the 5th round and Fields in the 6th (2QB league). Currently the highest scoring team and 5-0. In my son's friend's league, I'm 3-2 (tied for 1st... 5 teams are 3-2, the other 5 are 2-3), I took Goff in the 13th rd. I'm the 4th highest scoring team, thanks in large part to Henry and McConkey stinking up the joint. In my keeper league (2 QB league), I'm the 2nd highest scoring team and leading my division at 4-1. I kept Burrow. Drafted Stroud (my 3rd pick), Young (8th pick), and Gabriel (last pick).

Arrest made in connection with deadly Palisades fire

Depends on how much money the guy has. My guess is that he'll want to get in touch with Panera's people. -
If I were a gambling man, I'd bet that Comey was very corrupt in his position. Whether it's for the charges being made here, I don't know, but I'm pretty confident he did something... like 99.9% of everyone who works in D.C.

That's all I needed to see to know the proper answer to the question.

AI, colleges, and the education system as a whole, go hand-in-hand. It's what the Democrats want. They want socialism. They want communism. The education system is designed to make kids malleable to leftist thinking. Be soft, be sensitive, be weak minded, be controllable. As they get to college, they're inundated with the far leftist ideology and condemned if they don't subscribe. They promote a utopian society where everyone can afford everything. No one has to worry about anything. In comes AI which over time will remove jobs and create massive unemployment. It's why they're trying to get the country to see the need for socialism. They champion Medicare & Medicaid - 'see, the government will cover your living expenses'. They start with the ACA - 'see, the government will cover your medical expenses'. They champion gun control to lead to gun bans - 'see, you don't need to have access to deadly weapons, there's no bad guys'. Their objective is purely to create a government controlled society where they don't have to fear revolt. The Democrats are trying to create class systems of the elites and plebs so that they can stay safe in the ivory towers with all the worlds riches and power, while everyone else is numb to the world. Convinced that life is great. Right now, Stalin, Mao, Marx, Hitler, and Castro are all rotting in HeII and saying, "Man, those American Democrats are brilliant, I should've come up with that idea".

Yeah, most likely.

2 Soundgarden songs early, eh? I met Chris Cornell back in 1990. I was 10 at the time, I believe he was with the band Temple (that sound right?). My cousin played for a band called Ambush, they were trying to be a heavy metal band in the 80's. A Swedish band copied them in the 90's lol. Anyway, there was some show that my cousin was playing in where Cornell's Temple band was playing in LA (shortly after my cousin's band moved out there). He was a pretty cool dude. But, I guess most guys treat 10 year old's that way.

Gotchya. Fair enough.

Right now, they're only 1 game out of the playoff hunt. At 2-3, there's only 7 teams with a better record. This week coming up, they go to Green Bay then a home game against Pittsburgh. Those are big games because that can put them over .500. After that, they get the Jets and Bears in Cincinnati. If they win even 3 of those 4 and move to 5-4, that's pretty impactful for their playoff hopes. The next 3 weeks are just as big with Pittsburgh again, then New England and Baltimore. If they can be, say 7-7 heading into the last 3 weeks and Burrow back, they should be able to beat Arizona, Miami, and Cleveland, to finish 10-7. Last year, 15 teams won at least 10 games, 14 made the playoffs. The year before, all 12 teams that won 10 games made the playoffs. Since moving to a 17-game season, only 1 team won 10 games and failed to make the playoffs. So yeah, it definitely was a move to salvage the season.

I absolutely believe that's the reason. Heck, he was able to light it up last year with trash. He'd break records with a "decent" offensive line, let alone a good one.
-
Screw that, fock the Brewers. That's probably the only scenario where I root for the Dodgers. If the Brewers went 0-162, I'd probably still be upset that they didn't get shutout in all 162 games.

I agree with Mike. While yes, I understand the rationale (getting the runner closer), I think at that time, it was a foolish decision. Stott isn't a great hitter vs lefties, but he's not that good against righties either. Prior to last night, he was 0-6 vs Vesia. Vesia needed to pitch to Stott, so like I said, I understand why they did it, but I'd have just let him swing away... or rather have used Bader to hit for him instead of using him for Marsh. You need the run. You figure out the defense later. If Stott K's and/or Bader gets that hit, Castellanos scores to tie the game. There was no threat of a double play.

When I was 16 and had to get a second job, I got one at a Starbucks because I specifically told the manager that I didn't like coffee and never drink it. She told me that they let their employees have any drinks they want on their break or at the end of their shift. I told her could I have water instead because I don't like coffee? She stood up, shook my hand, and said, "When can you start"? That was 5 minutes into the interview. Self check: I may have been 17 at that time.

Side note, I think Burrow should tell the Bengals after the season to fix the OLine or he's not coming back. Herbert should do the same thing.
-
Yeah, I really meant the WR corp. I think the backfield in Cincy is just as good (if not better), than Cleveland. I'm a big Judkins fan, but it's been 2 games. The OLine in Cincy is terrible, but as long as Flacco can get the ball out, he'll have much better success than what Browning had. That will also make the run game better. Because of that, he'll have way more success in Cincinnati. Now, if Flacco just "done", then it doesn't matter what team he's on.

NJ hasn't re-elected a "party" since the 60's (the 1962 election). A person got re-elected, but not a party. Neither the Democrat or Republican party had more than 8 consecutive years as governor since 1970. Before Christie, was Christie Whitman. Before her, was Tom Kean before him, was William Cahill.
