    Welfare

As long as they're paying for it out of their own pocket, I'm ok with it.
  2. I think she's exaggerating. Not sure if she's lying, but there's a 0% chance she says no to $1.5M (unless she was married).

    Welfare

My only issue with welfare is the abuse and lack of verification. As an example, there's a Section-8 housing complex about a mile and a half from my house. I'll drive by and see $60k+ SUV's and other luxury vehicles parked there all the time. Then you see the occasional 65"+ 4K TV being brought into one of those houses.

    Economic leftism doesnโ€™t work

Most metrics, including GDP, comparing these two states would be flawed. Florida doesn't operate the way NY does, because it doesn't have to. For example, taxes make up a part of a states GDP. You also have to keep in mind that NYC is the biggest driving force of NY's GDP and not only does the state have income tax, so does NYC where as Florida has no state income tax. On top of that, so is sales tax. Florida's state sales tax is 7%, NY's is 4%, but as previously mentioned, I think we all know that NYC is the driving force of NY's GDP, NYC's own sales tax is around 5%, so you're going to pay 9% in NYC.

    NFL Wild Card Weekend Games

I think the first round goes to the Chargers and all the rest of the home teams.

    Trudeau to resign

It was just never done the right way.

Who here still supports Jan 6 attack?

I don't understand what all the ire is about concerning the mostly peaceful protest.

    Biggest threat to America?

None of the above. The answer is "Liberals".

College Football Playoffs - we sure needed 12 teams

Exactly. Georgia was never really a threat to score in that game.

College Football Playoffs - we sure needed 12 teams

Of course, but I think the game plays out completely different if Beck plays.

Bet he had a better year than the backup.

College Football Playoffs - we sure needed 12 teams

Could've totally altered the trajectory of the game.

    ... with a backup QB.
  14. I see him in the same vein as Winston... tons of talent, just not enough upstairs. The football "IQ" may be there in the classroom, but it doesn't translate on field. At best, he's a backup, just like Winston. Honestly, I think Jason Licht lucked out on Winston. He brought in Arians who proved to the world that Winston isn't a starter and on top of that, by a miracle, Tom Brady became available. I think that the Bucs hired someone other than Arians to be the HC in 2019, Licht might have given Winston an extension. UGH!! The Jags should've just picked up his 5th year option and let things play out. If they did that, I think they approach this years draft with the possibility of drafting a QB. Now, I don't follow college football so I don't know how many QB's will be considered 1st round picks. But looking at the top 5, there legitimately should be 4 teams looking to draft a QB... but because one of them is Cleveland and another is Jacksonville, I think both Tennessee and the Giants will be in good shape to grab the guy they like... providing someone doesn't jump up.

    Another embarrassment for Mike Johnson

    Thank goodness for that!

College football is a joke, why shouldn't the playoff be too?

That would DEFINITELY make the NBA a better product.
  18. What, the 2021 season where Brady played like a 45 year old and 24 year old Trevor Lawrence had the one year he didn't stink? Sure, you got that one right, but Lawrence is garbage and the Jags screwed up by giving him that deal.
  19. Oh, I think so as well, I just enjoy the irony of it all.

Any good league hosting sites for playoffs?

I believe a couple years ago I used https://thesecondseason.com/, but I don't really think it's worth it. I'm pretty good with Excel and with only a handful of games and players, it's very easy to just run my own and not pay a website to do it. It's only $20, so some people may think it's not a big deal... which it isn't. I just don't think I need to use it. Good site though. No complaints.
  21. That just means you're wrong a lot. Good for you to be willing to admit that.
  22. How funny will it be on Jan 6th when Harris has to verify the election of Trump beating her?

    Is College Worth it Anymore?

Companies hire people with degrees because the law requires certain accreditation. Meaning, a random person can't sign off on engineering plans. Only a person who graduated with a degree and has their PE is legally allowed to do so (I know that's the case in NJ... I'm assuming its all or at least most states as well). If you owned an engineering firm and had some random employee who worked 25 years for you and knows just as much as an engineer and something went wrong, not only will your company get sued, you personally would get sued, and you might even go to jail. If a certified engineered signed off on it, your insurance would pay off any debt and you go to work the next day.
  24. Thus proving your lack of awareness. Many have been doing it to emulate liberals since 2008.
