Remember that time you meant to tweet about the Denver Nuggets but posted the N word instead?
TBayXXXVII replied to Strike's topic in The Geek Club
I don't care if anyone says it, it doesn't bother me. It apparently bothers black people. So, like I said in my prior post, if black people don't want it said, then NO ONE should say it. If they're ok with saying it to each other, but no one else, than that doesn't fly with me. It's either open to everyone or no one. I'm fine with letting black people decide. -

I didn't dodge it, I literally answered it. LOL -

I think that if they don't want it said, then no, they shouldn't say it. Common sense says that what is in pop culture WILL BE used by everyone. If that word is in their music, white people WILL say it. If they use it in their every day conversations, white people WILL use it. Simply, imagine being in a friend group where there's 3 black people and 3 white people where the black friends drop the N word all the time and then you say it the same manner they do, and they treat you differently after that... or chastise you for it? -
What does the media do now and when does it start?
TBayXXXVII replied to supermike80's topic in The Geek Club
They'll continue the same thing they've done, they'll just make sure to include anyone who's aligned with him (politically primarily), so that they can continue the trend with the person next in line. A phrase I've read on this board, and even heard on YouTube from Democrats is that, "I'd vote Republican if they could come up with a good choice". The thing is, they're either lying or just stupid. They're lying because they basically mean, "I'll vote for a Republican if he promotes Democrat policies" or they're just stupid because they don't realize that every Republican candidate will be treated with disdain from the national media, and they'll believe it every time. As proof, Vance has come across as a very likeable straight shooting guy. He's constantly calling out bs from the media and they change course when he does. The ONLY reasons to not like him (from a Democrat point of view), are because you don't agree with his platform (so you won't vote for him even though he's a good choice, because he's not a Democrat), or you believe the MSM bull crap that has or will be, flung in his direction (meaning you're too stupid to realize the media is lying to you). -

How was that a racist post? He's right. Black people complain about the use of the N-word, but they're constantly using it in their music and every day life. CDub's point is that they're telling everyone not to use it, but they use it on a daily basis. Either everyone says it or no one says it. You can't have it both ways. -
The fans are the ones that get the shaft the most, even in those cities. Philly, LA, both NY teams, and others, spend out the azz. Yeah, there's more money coming into the cities via luxury boxes, advertisement, and alike, but ticket prices are still going to go up like crazy. These teams are going to end up pricing out the average fan from the ballpark. It's going to make it harder to get younger fans. This has been happening league-wide, but they seem to try gimmicks to get people interested, instead of fixing the obvious problem.

I don't disagree, but if they cut him, then his only pay will be while rostered and his playing time would be limited. Again though, it would be contingent on who the Ravens sign as well. If Baltimore only loses Johnson and no other impact players, but bring in more contract money than what Johnson got, then they get nothing. Simply, I think the odds of them getting anything more than a 7th round comp pick is slim... almost infinitesimal for more than a 6th.

MLB needs a salary cap.

Bet this is going over well amongst the Democrat party. Fetterman thinks that because the Hunter Biden case was a political one and Joe pardoned him, Joe should pardon Donald Trump because that was political as well.
-
I'm shocked!!!
-
Compensatory picks are based on a few factors.... contract size, performance, and net gain/loss in free agency. If he doesn't get a good deal, the Ravens are likely to spend more to bring in than what he and others are going to get elsewhere, and he probably won't yield them anything.

I think that was more due to teams figuring out how to defend Hurts. It's up to him and the team to figure out how to adjust to that.
-
He's been like that the last 3 weeks. Getting benched did him justice. He had time to sit back and watch without the pressure of learning on the fly. Some guys are fine with being thrown into the fire, others... maybe not. Hurts is quite overrated. He doesn't stink, but many make him out to be better than what he is. Hurts is a perfectly "adequate" QB who happens to have a great line and great weapons.

The Panthers are way better (still not good), but light years better over the last 3 weeks than they were in the 20+ games with Bryce Young. That team still has a lot of talent issues, but Young doesn't look like train wreck he did last year. Williams isn't as bad as Young was, so if he makes similar strides next year, he could be pretty good. We'll see what happens.

Sure, but I think that would be giving him too much credit. If he were worthy of that credit, he'd have never done the most obvious... remove his mask. -

I have no doubt that they have a ton more info than what they're telling us they know. Here's my prediction.... They're going to find the guy, there'll be a shootout and he will be killed. It will then come out is that this person had a specific personal axe to grind with this guy and it won't really be about his job or anything to do with the Healthcare system, even though common sense says it is. -

I was being sarcastic. I did what liberals do. Talk about something that should would unify the country when it would completely alienate half, but make me sound righteous. You know, like how liberals say we want to bring everyone together... then call half the country nazi's because of the person they voted for. -

Trump's first E.O. should be to make January 6th a national holiday in observance to remember Patriots doing what needed to be done to further the betterment of this country. He can do that the day after he pardon's everyone involved and giving them all the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It would be a national moment of unification by those who are not communists. -

I think the Trump Administration should pass an act that prohibits government officials from chartering personal flights, anywhere. They want to fly, they fly commercial. Also, celebrities and corporations are capped at 10 a year. All in the effort to reduce carbon emissions. Otherwise, fly commercial. -
What did Kamala Harris do with the $1.5 billion she raised? She is still asking for cash as some Democrats demand an audit 🚨
TBayXXXVII replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
I remember, not too long ago, leftists laughing at Trump and his followers because they were donating money. Odd that Trump raised less than 25% of what Harris did, and the leftist are mum on that... don't ya think? -
Definitely NOT the first Selena I thought of. LOL
