Whatever floats your boat doc. You're the one drafting your team, not me.

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

It's all about what you believe in. I'm not telling anyone I'm right. I'm simply saying that based on Rivers being a good passer, the team having a poor defense, and a mediocre (to below average), the Chargers will be throwing a lot and I believe that Allen has the talent to catch 110+ passes this year. I also believe that Allen is an ascending player. I don't think he's topped out at all. I think he has at least 1 more step to take if not more. You don't have to agree with it, but the logic isn't inconceivable. It's quite reasonable.

Keenan Allen vs A. Rob vs Dez at 6 pick 1pt ppr

So if Allen has a season like Antonio Brown, then he'll all of a sudden have the talent that those guys have... but he doesn't have it now though? Because "talent" can just happen out of the blue? Entering his age 25 season, Keenan Allen has 215 receptions, 2554 yards, and 16 TD's (3 seasons - 37 games / 36 starts) Entering his age 25 season, Antonio Brown had 151 receptions, 2062 yards, and 7 TD's (3 seasons - 38 games / 13 starts) At what point did Antonio Brown "all of a sudden" have talent?

Keenan Allen vs A. Rob vs Dez at 6 pick 1pt ppr

What were your thoughts for Antonio Brown and Keenan Allen (regarding their talent), in 2014 after Brown had 110 receptions and 8 TD's and Allen had 71 receptions and 8 TD's in 2013? Cause apparently the TD:Rec is the ratio that determines talent.

Keenan Allen vs A. Rob vs Dez at 6 pick 1pt ppr

This. We saw how irrelevant Dez was without Romo. Really though, I'm putting my faith in Rivers over Prescott. Robinson is easily #1 of the three. I'd definitely take him in the first, but wouldn't take Allen or Dez there.
  6. More were drafted than in the 5th or later. "Absurd".
  7. You're right, I don't know that... but personally, I'm willing to risk the 5th round pick in believing he will.

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

Yeah, that was pretty much what I said to begin with that started this whole thread. You take Marshall if you want safe, Allen if you want upside. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=456696&p=5742796
  9. To me, Gordon is the better option between the two. Both have the potential to be top 3 at their positions while they play, but Bell plays a more high-risk position and has a track record of missing games due to injury, where as Gordon played every game he was eligible for. Plus, Gordon is a value pick, Bell isn't. With the trend being WR heavy early in drafts, Bell falling from say 4 or 5 to 10 to 12, isn't that great of a value. Gordon being a top 5 pick falling to the 5th or 6 round is huge. I'll gladly take Gordon in the 5th long before I take Bell in the first.

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

He's in the mix, but he lacks consistent concentration. His talent put's him #1, but his performance puts him #3. Until he put's it all together, he belongs at #3.

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

Too many "if's"? Like what? Marshall is a great receiver, and (aside from his rookie season), he averages 95/1200/9 per season. So, projecting 90/1100/9 is not in any way an "if", it's a reasonable prediction. That's also not counting his age against him, nor his 33 year old QB's career year at 32. Keenan's 16 game projected season is 96/1100/7. At age 24 and career on the rise with a team that struggles to run the ball but is very adept at passing, and will be throwing a lot because they'll be losing a lot because they're defense isn't very good, I don't see why an upside prediction of 120 / 1400 / 10 is unrealistic. Heck, this website is projecting 115/1380/8. What are the too many "if's"? What, "if" Keenan Allen stay's healthy? Ok, fine, even if I give you that one... that's ONE! Where's the rest?
  12. Certainly... and I didn't deny that, nor did I say that no talent can be found late in draft. But I wasn't dumb enough to say that "plenty" of guys drafted late became great. That's completely absurd.
  13. You're basing that on what? Last year, not counting receptions of course, Charles Sims had almost 1100 all-purpose yards and 4 TD's. In Michael's 3 year career, he has 525 all-purpose yards and 0 TD's. Just in rushing alone, Sims had 529 yards on 107 carries while Michael has 497 yards on 106 carries (in his career). On top of that, considering how both Dallas and Seattle have continually better OLine's than Tampa, I'd say that even puts Sims even further higher than Michael. Last year, Seattle was ranked 4th, Dallas 6th, and Tampa 9th. In 2014, when Michael was in Seattle all year, they ranked 4th in run blocking where as Tampa was 32nd. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol
  14. I don't think Carroll would do that... though he did in the past, and then cut him. I also don't think him getting cut in the past is an indictment on them, but on Michael himself, being an idiot. As I said above, because he's shown himself to be stupid (twice), I'm not putting any faith in him at all until he proves it. It may come back to bite me in the butt, but I'll be ok with that.
  15. Anyone have totals on his production in previous seasons... you know, when he was hyped up and still got cut, TWICE?

It would be either Allen or Marshall for me. Can't really go wrong with either.

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

If you believe that Allen has the chance to be an elite WR, then your point is moot.

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

LOL... no one is making the argument that Marshall stinks or will stink. No one is saying that Marshall isn't worth a high pick. My initial comments were that between the two, the safe pick is Marshall, the "upside" pick would be Allen. When people questioned me on it, I posted reasons. I never once said I thought Marshall would be a bust. Nor did I imply that anywhere.

    Yeah.... and?

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

Marshall WAS a better receiver... to say he IS, is an opinion not shared by all. Clearly, there are rankings out there that are ranking Allen higher than Marshall as well as others on this board meaning, I'm not on some kind of island that you seem to be implying that I'm on.

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

In general, yes... but I knew that's not what he meant, and proved it. LOL
  22. I didn't say "only" McKinnon... I said I'd prefer him over the others. Didn't say he was the only option.
  23. If it makes you feel better, you certainly can believe that.
  24. TBayXXXVII

    Keenan Allen v Brandon Marshall

That's your opinion... it's not fact.
