I love the auction format. My main league that I have been in for 12 years has always been an auction. My observations and warnings. The auction takes a lot longer! Ours is 12 teams 16 players and it takes about 6 hours that includes breaks. If you can get someone to run the auction it will go much better. Time owners, post picks, keep things moving. If you have a lot of guys that aren't prepared it is going to take even longer. If you have guys that print off a top 300 list the day before your draft and that's all they do the auction will kill them and slow the whole process down. Bring a couple of calclators. There are always dumbasses that don't think they need one then they get there and want to borrow one. Make sure you set player minimums and minimum salary increments. Our cap is $50, player minimum is $1 and salary increments are a $.25.

I agree with most of what you said. I'm a Cowboy fan and I agree the blowup could happen in week five if Dallas loses to philly. All I ask of you and especially the MDC types is that; if TO isn't kicked off the team and TO isn't on sportscenter doing situps in his driveway this year you come back and acknowledge that Bill Parcells was better at dealing with this nut job than Andy Reid.

You screwed the pooch in rounds 6 and 7. You had 4 solid RBs you should have got a good QB and another solid WR. Unless your league has a bunch of trade happy owners your season is dependent on Rivers having an above average NFL year aka an average fantasy year.

The trade should never have been vetoed. If this league is as competitive as you say you really need to get rid of the vote veto. Why would the other teams approve a trade that helps the competition? What reason was given by the owners that voted to veto the trade? I hope you called out all those losers.

And after all these posts no one wants to deal with the fact that this was such a large mess because of the corrupt mayor and local government of New Orleans and Louisiana. The corruption in govenment in Louisiana has always been a big joke, hell Hollywood even made movies with big time actors joking about the corruption. But as soon as the corruption killed a bunch of people everybody stopped laughing and started blaming the federal govenment. This is a crock of sh!t.

Why the hell didn't the Mayor of the city do anything about this problem? He should know his city and the population of the city better than anyone. Why is Ray not being held accountable? He knew these people had no transportation but he did nothing to have them removed prior to the storm. And why didn't the Mayor have shelters set up with food and water. He knew the levies could be breached by a hurricane and knew he had citizens that could not leave but he did nothing prior to the storm to prepare for the devastation other than order a delayed evacuation. And where was Ray? It wasn't NO because he got the hell out. I remember now he was on the radio lying and denying and blaming the whitey governor, the whitey president and every other whitey political official he could think of. The federal government dropped the ball with out question but the situation was as bad as it was because of the piss poor planning by the corrupt local government.
