It seemed like expansion was trending toward a no, anyway. We have 2 owners against it, no one besides CMH really championing for it, and the odds of us finding another owner who is not a Cdub or Edjr is probably slim.... I responded to your post specifically because it was the first I heard that anyone would consider leaving if we expanded, including your own prior posts on the subject. I totally understand not having enough time to devote. I dont feel like having 2 additional teams to factor in would push things over that line but now sounds like you were wavering regardless of expansion. Guess you need to decide your own future and if we need to find a 12th.

Yikes. Didn’t know people would actually leave at the idea of expansion like it takes a ton of time to figure out shared players but I guess we will stick with 12. I doubt we’d get 1 more anyway let alone 2

my only memories of early ebay, circa 2005, was my friend asking me to bid up his item so it didn't sell for less than he wanted and then once I won he would cancel the sale. Maybe you could not set a reserve price? I don't remember. I think I ended up doing the same thing one time. I know this is just a list of items for review but we probably don't need a bunch of separate threads for each item where only 3-4 people will chime in anyway. - Schedule: 2 vs division, 1 vs other teams. ..... This should be a given since it is really a fix in the scheduling. It's how I had things set up on Yahoo but BL didn't carry it over when he created the ESPN version. 12 teams, 3 divisions, 14 regular season weeks sets up perfectly to play your division opponents 2X and all other teams 1X. - higher league fees: sounds good to me but I am also of the mindset that if it's going to turn off too many people then we can keep it as is. I have enough leagues where I don't need this to be a higher stakes league if it's going to risk it falling apart or having to replace good owners with dbags. - high score payouts: I think everyone knows my stance on those. Bigly against them, especially weekly high score. I think it just dilutes the pot which is better served going to podium finishers. Are we really going to waste $140 of the pot giving 10 bucks to the team who has the high score each week? I've only ever seen that being useful if a league is trying to motivate owners from getting bored and being deadbeats if their team gets off to a bad start. We don't seem to have that problem. - Do we want to consider going to a system where you get a win or an additional win for being in the top 6 scoring for the week? Edjr is really the only one who has cried about having a high weekly score but losing to the top team that week. I'm probably against having the only wins go to the top 6 scoring teams because then there really is no point in divisions or head to head stuff.... but I am not totally against awarding a win for the matchup as well as an additional W for the top 6 scoring teams and an L for the bottom 6.

have not sold on ebay since shortly after they stopped using PP as a middle man. That's not why I stopped, just a coincidence and it's not like I was running a business. the last shit I sold on ebay was stamps. I had a huge excess of forever stamps and for some reason people were paying a lot for them. I just sent them out in a plain envelope and hoped no one was a richard. I think only 1 time someone claimed to have not received them. I find FB Marketplace to just be easier. I guess it depends what you are selling and what you need your reach to be. I was simply flipping vintage/antique items, including furniture, with my uncle before he passed away in Sept. so it's much easier to list on FB for local buyers only, pickup and cash only. I just have zero interest in having to package up an item, cover shipping (or bake it into the price), send it out, have Ebay take their cut and know that Ebay will side with the buyer almost always.

Still curious about this. What do you think is the logic behind the 2+ points over their season average? You think it means that the books are indicating a game where they think that player is likely to go off, so as bettors we should expect them to really go off? I find it hard to believe that books don't have this properly priced in and seems like you are hitting about 50% of the time just going by the losses you posted before the games and the wins you've posted after. Personally when I bet NBA the first thing I do is look only at games I think will be close (this is harder in today's NBA with how often stars sit or how often teams are willing to give up and rest those stars in the 4th). I don't want to need 3 points from a star who doesn't play the last 8 minutes of the game. Then, personally I look for stars who's point lines have fallen because of a few underwhelming performances. I don't always stick to stars though. Sometimes I will target guys who I think will have expanded roles due to another player being out. That's why I played Dante Exum last night. his line was 7.5. He's just been back recently and had gone over that number in 2 of his 3 games back. No AD and someone else was out, i forget who. I almost played it up to 10+ points but stuck with the line. But it kind of feels like the real "strategy" here is sticking to 3 leg parlays and utilizing FD's profit boosts and no sweat tokens. Perhaps, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, playing the totals down (ex. Curry 23.5 using Curry to score 20+) and making the parlay 4 legs to qualify for the boost or the no sweat token.

ah, the funny argument that putting a stop to DEI practices means NOT hiring women and minorities when in actuality it means putting a stop to hiring less or underqualified women and minorities in order to fill a quota. We should all want the best candidates to be hired for jobs. If that is a black woman, it's a black woman. If it's a white man, it's a white man. Making sure everyone has equal opportunities... getting the interviews... getting the proper training for advancement etc. is commendable. Hiring to fill a quota is not.

Every play that you posted prior to the games has lost, if i'm seeing it correctly... and the only hits are the ones you posted after the fact.

But my point with AD is that I don't think anyone would have blinked an eye if a franchise traded 2 first round picks for him to the Lakers. He only turns 32 in March and is an All Star level player capable of scoring, rebounding and playing solid (for the NBA) defense. So if he is worth 2 firsts and the Mavs also got another first in the deal, they theoretically got 3 firsts and Max Christie, with the added bonus of knowing what two of those first round picks are... they are Anthony Davis. No need to hope that you hit with your picks the way Boston did with Tatum and Brown and not the way Philly did with Simmons, Okafor, Fultz... So I think talking heads and NBA fans are sometimes too hung up on huge draft pick hauls for star players. Im not saying Dallas shouldn't have or couldn't have gotten more but maybe 5 firsts isn't all it's cracked up to be.
