  5. Rafael Devers 2025 season as of May 17th. 52 for 180 .289 average 9 HRs .517 SLG .920 OPS - 13th best in all of MLB This is why stats are meaningless when the sample size is small.
  6. I know. I didn't attribute it to tariffs or to Trump. Just pointing out toys can be made here and will be made here.
  7. Well looky here: LEGO bricks and sets are manufactured in six factories worldwide: Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic, Mexico, China, and Vietnam. The LEGO Group is planning to add a seventh factory in the U.S., which is on track to be completed in 2027. Lego decided to build a manufacturing facility in the United States to address North American growth demands, improve service, and manage its carbon footprint. The company chose Virginia, specifically Chesterfield County, after a thorough search based on key criteria including proximity to markets, sustainability, and a skilled workforce. It's all about demand.
  8. Possibly, but what I read was Hasbro was considering just not selling in the United States, except probably board games which they manufacture here.
  9. Hasbro announced when tariffs on China went to 145% they had major changes planned including price increases. They were pleasantly surprised when China Tariff was lowered to 30%. Major portion of their business is manufactured in China and are changing their plans again. So, I don't understand how Walmart can announce price increases still, crummy company.
  10. If elected president, Kamala Harris has stated she would prioritize lowering costs for Americans and has proposed several initiatives related to controlling prices, particularly in the areas of food and prescription drugs. 1. Federal Ban on Price Gouging: Harris plans to work with Congress to enact the first-ever federal ban on price gouging for food and groceries. This ban would target companies that exploit crises and unfairly raise prices on essential goods during emergencies or times of crisis. The ban aims to prevent corporations from taking advantage of consumers and setting excessively high prices, especially during times of hardship. The plan would empower the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general to investigate and penalize companies engaged in price gouging. 2. Lowering Prescription Drug Costs: Harris supports expanding the Inflation Reduction Act's $35 insulin price cap for Medicare recipients to cover all Americans, regardless of insurance coverage. She also plans to extend the $2,000 annual cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for Medicare beneficiaries to all Americans, including those with private insurance. Her plan includes negotiating lower drug prices directly with pharmaceutical companies and increasing transparency and competition in the pharmaceutical industry. Harris also intends to crack down on pharmaceutical middlemen who engage in practices that drive up drug costs. 3. Addressing Housing Costs: Harris has proposed measures to make housing more affordable, including building 3 million new housing units over the next four years and providing down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers. Her plan also includes tax incentives for builders to construct "starter homes" and preventing Wall Street investors from buying homes in bulk to resell at a premium. It's important to note: Some economists have expressed concerns that these price control measures could have unintended consequences, such as creating shortages or reducing product quality. Others argue that these measures are necessary to protect consumers from corporate greed and ensure access to essential goods and services at reasonable prices. The specific details and implementation of these policies would likely be subject to debate and negotiation in Congress if Harris were elected president.
