I dislike the political divide in America and the media is to blame. There really isn't much difference between the left and the right. Both sides dislike 90% of the decisions that politicians make. The media just wants to perpetuate the one side verse the other side divide, because that is what draws views/clicks/likes. They go out of their way to make the other side appear as bad as possible, both sides do this, if you go to a primary left wing site like some sub-reddits you will see the same thing, but opposite as what is posted here, posters who hate conservatives, and find the most extreme examples to prove their point. People have taken rooting for their political party like they root for a sports team, they blindly cheer on their side no matter what. We need people on both sides to be more critical of their own party, to vote for politicians that want compromise, and to understand that the media has really shifted towards going for views/likes, rather than informing. This is especially true of social media like youtube, where how much they make is directly correlated with how many views they get. I hope this country does not get swayed too much by either political party and that over the next 30 years half of the time republicans will have control, and other half democrats, I also hope that we start voting in more moderate candidates on both sides, and that we avoid slimeballs like Newsom. None of what I want will happen though. Good day to you ed, take care of yourself.

You have to think about why the rules are in place. The reason that cutdowns happen in dynasty leagues before the draft is because every year there is someone that is cut that someone else picks up. If cutdowns happened during the draft then there may be an owner, would draft a player at beginning of 4th round for example, however the team who cut them was mid 4th and cut just prior to their pick. Then someone in late 4th could draft that player without that first owner getting a shot at the player even though they had the earlier pick to draft them. This is why cutdowns is always roster size minus number of picks. The team's that have the largest number of picks are the teams that will most likely cut a player that someone else will draft because they have to make steeper cuts to their team.

1. If rules are worded poorly worded and go against the spirit of the rule, the rule should be reworded rather than enforced.

That is too bad. She lived in Houston area and we were both in the same dynasty league and in the middle of our rookie draft when Hurricane Harvey hit. Never communicated with her much beyond that, never even knew she was a her.
-
I don't follow such things, but as I understood the rule it has always been 30 - number of draft picks. We also have a rule that you have to cut players before the draft begins, and that rule is never enforced.
-
Meh. Enforcing a random rule that hasnt been enforced previously lol.

I am displeased that this rule has never, EVER been enforced and every year we have people making late drops. How would I possibly know that the rule would be enforced this year, and not every owner was even available to make a trade so i could trade 2 players for a 5th round pick to get under. I can pay for next year and just quit, if you want to find a different owner I dont really care. This is my least active dynasty league and nobody ever trades. I easily get 5 trades a year in my other leagues. Late drops: https://imgur.com/a/OIixkKm

Ozempic (Semaglutide) - What's the Geek Consensus?

Amazing drug, I think it will be prescribed much more in the future than now. The side effects are well known and glp-1's have been on the market for 20 years for diabetes. The only thing that is new is using them for weight loss. There is a slight cancer risk they are studying but it is difficult because being overweight is also a cancer risk. The studies performed so far have been inconclusive. Practically all drugs have side effects it is just the pros outweigh the cons. -
It seems like a decent number of people that believe that gun restrictions should not be strengthened because of the Constitution also believe that it is ok to keep an entire religion from immigrating to our country even though that is also a constitutionally protected right.

https://www.atlantafed.org/cqer/research/gdpnow GDP dropping this fast is not a good sign. Latest estimate: -2.8 percent — March 03, 2025 The GDPNow model estimate for real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the first quarter of 2025 is -2.8 percent on March 3, down from -1.5 percent on February 28. After this morning’s releases from the US Census Bureau and the Institute for Supply Management, the nowcast of first-quarter real personal consumption expenditures growth and real private fixed investment growth fell from 1.3 percent and 3.5 percent, respectively, to 0.0 percent and 0.1 percent.

Sorry to hear. Hopefully it can heal enough on it's own so it can get back close to normal.

I hate the project, waste of money but this project started months ago. The blame should not go to any president, but if it did go to one then Biden is who need to blamed for wasting government money on this project. Edit: And a link to 10 months ago. https://www.theinformation.com/articles/microsoft-and-openai-plot-100-billion-stargate-ai-supercomputer

Does not solve the problem. The main problem is that the largest search engine is also the largest distributor/seller of ads. They need to force Google to sell either the ad business or the search engine, not the browser.

There are layoffs in my industry and budget will be cut further next year. I am going to lose a developer at end of year unless something changes
