I texted him to let him know he was on the clock.

And I still don't know where to pay
-
I still don't think I have paid.

I am fine giving continual time. We should not have started the draft until everyone was signed in and paid. This has not soured me on the league, and I hope @devilwoman changes her mind during the season.

Are human drivers as an occupation going to go extinct?
MTSkiBum replied to nobody's topic in The Geek Club
I agree, but that is a long way in the future. You have to get to the point where automated driving vehicles are the majority of vehicles and then wait 20 years for all of the regular driving cars to wear out and be replaced. What you are forecasting is at least 30 years out it sounds like. -
The short height of most asians was related to poor diet, the newer generations are all quite a bit taller than their parents. Also the basketball players are still taller than average over there. Below is the link to the team that won the league last year where this is taking off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busan_KCC_Egis

We should make sure all owners are aware the draft is starting, before the draft starts. I had no idea the draft was going to start, i expected you to wait for all payments and the start date of the draft to be pushed back to be honest. I would have sent out more trade offers. I suggest we give @taco breath enough time to login to the site, take care of everything, and then make his own draft pick. We are not in a rush at this point in the season.

I was busy and had no idea the draft started. I think we should give him time.

The Country Needs A Distraction From Politics
MTSkiBum replied to easilyscan's topic in The Geek Club
I don't discuss or hear people discussing politics in day to day life and this is the last site I visit that really talks politics. It is pretty easy to remove from your life. Why spend all that time and energy worrying and arguing about something we have no control over. -
I owned a ram 1500 for a couple years. Want to fight?

My servers are all on premise, even the VMware fiasco will not change my mind.

It depends where you live, you can use the below site to find which model is the most accurate for your area.Weather underground was purchased by the weather channel 10 years ago, and a few years ago they got rid of the separate forecasting model. The only difference between the weather channel and weather underground is the interface. https://www.forecastadvisor.com/ My outdoor activities over the years have certainly turned me into a weather nerd

How Many Push Ups Can You Do At One Time ?
MTSkiBum replied to BeenHereBefore's topic in The Geek Club
I do 2 sets of 15 a few days a week. But I don't think I can do over 30(25?) without taking a break. I need to start exercising my upper body more. I edited my original numbers down -
I took him at either 1.03 or 1.04 last year

It is only the 2nd time in 10 years we have had an extended power outage, the first time was during the freeze and we still had our fireplace and i have indoor safe propane heaters. This time we bailed and went on vacation early. What is the cost to benefit ration of something that costs that much with all that associated maintenance that you only use rarely. If solar panels ever drop and electric cars ever become reasonably priced i think that would be the best way forward, although I feel like we have heard for last 10 years that solar panel prices will drop "soon" and electric car prices will drop "soon". I am not sure if i believe that they will ever become reasonably priced. Edit: We had 80 mph sustained winds, who knows what that would do to solar panels.

That article is wrong, our neighborhood just had the power restored this morning and power went out on Monday morning. We would have been without power for 2 days and there are still people without power. My company just sent out an email that the office i work out of is closed and does not have power.

We are on our summer vacation, in El Paso right now and then Taos next week.

I am stuck living within driving distance to my wife's parents, which means somewhere within 10 hours of el paso. Denver is within that limit, but cost of living is too high. I can have a better life living in houston than denver, because if my company transferred me from houston to denver i would not get a pay raise. Plus everyone in my company wants to move to denver. My college buddy who works for the same company works there and it took him 3 years to get transferred there.

Supposedly power was restored to my house this morning. Our fridge/freezers will be awful to clean out when we get home.

Time to drink a good old ~40~ ounce Ole English. Is this the correct thread for that?
