Major lithium discovery in fracking wastewater leaves the left facing EV 'irony'
MTSkiBum replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Rereading my post, I used the term " who knows how many years". Typically when people say that they mean that something is really far off in the future. I am very literal and would have used decades if i thought it was really far off. I think this can be solved in as little as 2-5 years as proof of concept and 10 years to move in production, but if there are unforeseen circumstances it could take longer. -

I think we said the same thing. -
We have a "northern tool and equipment" which I have never heard of before moving here, but it has everything i need. Growing up in Wyoming it was Murdoch's, which are in Colorado as well i believe.

They discovered that the lithium exists, however there is not a way to extract it economically. With the concentrations that it exists at i am sure there will be many different companies working on this solutions, it would be a way to save an oil company if they were to patent the process. There should be research on this going forward, but who knows how many years it will take to solve. I will confidently say this technology is decades sooner than fusion. -
My buddy that I share the boat with helped. We replaced bunks/bunk mounts, hubs, tires, and rewired. Next year the axle and suspension will need replaced.

Pb blaster is good as well.

I rebuilt a salt water boat trailer this winter, and I do not own wd-40. If you ever need to loosen a bolt that has been corroded with salt water wd-40 doesn't do crap, you need kroil and heat.

And I bet you consider yourself an expert on the subject

The worst umpire of all time retires
MTSkiBum replied to RaiderHaters Revenge's topic in The Geek Club
To say Hernández was unpopular with fans and players would be an understatement. He has long been regarded publicly as baseball's worst umpire even though the data shows he's merely below average rather than the worst in the game. Hernández did tend to be combative, however, and escalate things when his job was to deescalate. The man liked to wield his authority. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/angel-hernandez-retires-eight-of-the-controversial-mlb-umpires-worst-calls-including-disastrous-2018-alds/ -

I have a few black friends that will vote for trump and for the same reason that white people will vote for trump. They believe the issues they care about the republican's will do a better job on and that neither side is great. Not sure why this is so surprising. Not all black people are the same and lumping people into groups based on their skin color is something we need to move past. I like how even the "left" on this site are old white men that want to stereotype races.

I had coworkers without power for 2+ days.

How? You still have the bottleneck of all of the cars needing to merge down to a single lane. Often times there are lights or 4 way stops on the other side. It does make it so that there is room for more cars, but i was not describing that when I made this post. I remember this incident there were 5 of us waiting in line for a 4 way stop that was directly after the merge. There was plenty of room for him to slot in behind us.

I love toyota's and I love 4runners, however they are not for me. They do keep their value much more than other vehicles, however if you drive alot of miles per year the total cost of ownership is still worse given the really terrible fuel economy. Depending on the year they can kind of be cramped inside. The inside of a a 4runner will not be as optimized as any of the unibody SUV's when it comes to a family of 4+, it is more cramped, less head space and storage room. The ride is much rougher than most unibody SUV's and the acceleration kind of sucks balls(technical term). They do have pro's though. If you need to go legitimate offroading they are extremely capable in some configurations, right up there with a jeep. Except they are jeep that can haul around a family semi comfortably and reliably over years. Also, they have an additional 1,500 pounds of towing capacity compared to any of the more comfortable SUV's.

Google is useless anymore. Trying to find a product and all you get are 10 pages of ads/sales for a product. I believe it is the below antenna, pretty basic but I did have the wire coax to get it from my attic down to my living room. I think if you put in that effort then almost any antenna/booster you purchase will work. https://www.rcaantennas.net/indoor-hd-antenna/?sku=ANT2160E
-
I ended up spending about 50-100 dollars on an antenna from an electronics store with booster. Designed for the attic.
-
I installed an antenna in my attic last year and then ran a cable down to my living room. I did not receive all the Houston channels when I used a regular antenna. That would not work for where I live in the suburbs.

I see you checked in recently.
