    Trade Bush/DJax/Plax for LJ+Cotchery?

Your RB's would be top in the league by last years stats, no doubt about that, but I am of the opionion that LJ probably wont finish top 10 this year. So i wouldnt pull the trigger. You should read nan's posts in http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...281109&st=0 thread

keeper draft , #3 pick help

I would take FWP over bush barely. Steelers are shuffling lineman around, although it looks like starks will win the guard position back so really only lost 1 lineman in the offseason. O-line consistency is one of the most important factors in the running game. So if we lost 2 lineman it would of been alot worse. However we have a new playcaller on offense too. Plus with a healthy ben, and 2 decent reciever threats FWP wont be seeing 8 in the box this year. Plus FWP is the 3rd down back now that we are cutting haynes, and also he has earned the goal line back as well, so he should see more TD's this year than last year. Bush finished 9th last year in non-ppr, i bet he was around 8th in half point ppr without looking it up. Thats not too much behind willie, and Bush is going to get an increased rushing role, however the scary part about choosing bush is he only had a 3.4 ypc last year, the lowest out of any rb in the top 10. So if they move him to more of a full time rusher, and less in the reciever role his stats could actually drop if he doesnt learn how to run between the tackles. I bet the decision is made for you on draft day and one of these guys gets taken 2. Also looking at how your keeper setup is, you might end up dumping either of these guys back into the pool anyways even if they finish top 10, because it is alot more condusive to keep a late round keeper than it is a first round keeper. Although it could be my homerism speaking

    When to take a rookie

It depends who is left, if it is too early to take a rookie, but if a couple teams had all the studs, and dumped some good people back into the pool you might not take any rookies in the expansion draft, but if all the talent was spread out i bet you will be forced into taking a rookie in it.

    wow...just got maroney at 17

Till they are both injured week 3, then how will you like your team??? I doubt they both go down, and neither may, but to say you have your league locked up after 2 picks is ridiculous.
  5. I like Brees and Jones a little bit better, but its pretty much a wash.

    MJD

MJD is a mid-late second round draft pick in redraft leagues, Top tier WR's are a mid-late second round draft pick, i would expect to get someone of Holts, TO's, smith, wayne, harrison, etc caliber for MJD.

I am pretty sure i said i had Owens higher than McMicheals, READ THE POST!

    Frank Gore over Steve Jackson?

Yes you would, the 3rd RB is actually a debate between gore and addai, but Sjax is the consensus #2, no way would i pass him up.

    trading for jamal lewis....

Because as it looks now Bell is the 3rd stringer, and a 2nd string RB is worth more than a 3rd string RB.

    travis henry or addai?

I have been one of the biggest henry pimpers on this site, but you cant take him over addai. Over SA, over LJ, over FWP, over westbrook, all easy choices, but not over addai. IMHO.

    Keeper Question

I would rather go portis, and make sure to grab the handcuff in betts, Al Saunders knows how to get the most out of his RB's and he isnt a RBBC guy, if portis is healthy he would get the carries, and he isnt Betts will, after Portis went down last year Betts finished 4th in our league last year in fantasy points. If portis is healthy he is definantly top 10 material. It takes you 2 picks to lock this system up, but i still like that better than i like benson this year.

    F*** It, I'm whimping out

I would much rather draft in spot 6-10 than spot 3 this year, although i would prefer 9, because 9 is the last spot where Henry will safely fall, and 11 makes it so you should always get bush, and those are the 2 late round picks i am highest on this year. I dont like 3, because its pretty much too early for Addai, and i am down on LJ, SA, and gore this year, no really good stud 3 choice. Plus that makes your 2nd round choice pretty crapp, choosing between the likes of Benson, Jones, or Edge if you decide to go RB, RB.

    Pending Trade

I dont like this trade, for 1 Sapp is the handcuff you need, I own Henry in a dynasty league that doesnt allow very many backup RB's and so i have done lots of research into this situation, and while it is a crap shoot(50/50 as of now) it looks like bell is going to miss the first 3-4 weeks of the season, and plus Sapp has looked better than Bell ever has. Plus you are giving up too much even if Bell was healthy and was the handcuff.

    Thomas Jones or Brandon Jacobs

you mean a bad team, as in a team that has made the playoffs 2 years in a row? Or do you mean a bad team as in a team that had a tier 1 QB at the helm last year(eli was 11 so a little stretch) Or do you mean a bad team as in one thats produced a stud RB for the last 5 years and only lost 1 lineman Or do you mean a bad team as in 1 that doesnt have either a good TE or a good WR to prevent the stacking of 8 in the box(plax and shockey) And leon washington had 4.3 ypc last year, spread that out over 280 carries(low for a #1 back) and you get 1200 yards, yep sounds like a crappy handcuff to me. so whats your argument?

    When for Gates?

top tier QB's are such a waste of a 2nd round pick, even more so than gates. If you want one of them, hope that either Bree's, palmer, Brady, or Bulger falls to you in the 3rd. Dont reach in the 2nd. Even in the 3rd i dont like qb's but thats a little more reasonable.
  16. MTSkiBum

    trading for jamal lewis....

Thats a fair deal as of now, you both get your handcuffs, his handcuff is more important, but since that was the case you got a full on starting RB, and tory holt. Good deal for you, good deal for him.

    TEs

I had to pick 1 and i went Bo Scaife! This is because V Young played with Scaife in college, plus running QB's tend to hit their TE's more than non-running QB's plus young TE's with no other options on offense tend to hit their TE when it matters(in the red zone). And V young really has no other offensive option than scaife, unless brandon jones develops. St Louis will get more redzone oppertunities than either Texans or Titans, but how much of those redzone oppertunities will go to the TE, plus Bulger has never really used a TE and that scares me. I know he has never really had a TE to throw too, but the inexperience and the plethora of options elsewhere tends to make me consider other options. Owens would be #2 out of the list of 3, Shuab is an inexperienced QB, that tends to lead to more dump off passes, however he has a legitimate other threats in both A johnson and A Green(i know green isnt a great RB, but he is experienced in recieving and is a good dump off option) Other options Eric Johnson- Drew bree's loves his TE's and it looks like Johnson is winning the job. Heath miller- homerism coming out here, but i expect a big year.

    lee evans for roy?

you should trade for roy, just because if i remember your roster correctly you have WAY to much staked on the bills offense, which isnt a good thing.
  19. MTSkiBum

    Thomas Jones or Brandon Jacobs

I was so high on jones before his injury i was recomending him at pick 18, BUT he hurt his achilles AND his calf, and is favoring his other leg in training camp, this is not a good situation for a rb. I am not high on jacobs, but if i was forced to chose between one, i would chose Jacobs, because if you choose jones you have to handcuff him with Leon Washington, so thats 2 roster spots compared to 1.
  20. MTSkiBum

    Rookies

Tony Hunt and cecil sapp should both be on your list with that many picks, both have a higher percentage of contributing than any other in the 5-10 range. Tony hunt has been named the goal line back in a high powered offense, and Cecil Sapp plays in the best running offense in the league behind a fumbler(who is injured, mike bell) and an injury proned RB(with a grade 1 sprained MCL) in Henry.
  21. MTSkiBum

    When for Gates?

yes but the OP was wrong to compare him to top WR's in the first place also.
  22. MTSkiBum

Help! Third overall pick, and cant decide on a RB

In that league go Addai pick 1 for sure, he is the safest bet, and in since you have generally unexeperienced players you dont need to go for the home run(or the strike out) that LJ or gore brings with their injury risk. Usually i advocate gore in the 3 spot in non-ppr, but i think i would make an exception for your league. Go safe.
  23. MTSkiBum

    Going after Addai?

I still think a late 1rst and a 3rd rounder is a good deal. But if you can do it for less thats even better. @mobbdeep Also he cant trade McGahee to the person, because he is unloading these players because that team already has too many keepers.
  24. MTSkiBum

    Going after Addai?

you quoted me before i could edit it

    Going after Addai?

I believe Addai is a steal any pick after 4, so trade one of your first rounders straight across and see if he bites? But in your keeper it sounds like a first is actually a 3rd round pick, so i bet not, maybe a first and a 3rd? A 3rd and a 6th for addai isnt a terrible deal.
