Not you specifically, but it’s funny how the excuse making is starting to roll in. First it was her teammates can’t catch a ball and now it’s her team is just bad and that she’s a rookie. She’s going to be a nice player. Is she going to be this transcendent talent in this league? Not a freaking chance. Eventually the novelty will wear off.

OK, I’m gonna put on a little of my old coaching hat here so bear with me. Hate wnba but i gave last night a look. I agree with you. There’s definitely some mean girls shiit going on with her but the thing that stuck out the most I don’t like the way they use her. Let’s ignore that defensively she’s lost and a little bit of a liability. I still don’t understand how people guard her. If she goes to her right, she’s going to go all the way to the basket with her right hand. She’s not going to step back going right and she’s not going to switch to her left hand ever. Also doesnt spin left but will right. Going left she will not finish. She always does a step back jumper. now I say I don’t like the way they use her because when she brings it up, they just blitz her on every screen because she’s not faster than these girls so I wouldn’t even call for a screen. I would have her off the ball running off every screen I could possibly give her, and just tell her if you catch it…shoot if open. Feel like they are trying to make her curry, but curry could get by you. Curry could finish right and left and with both hands. she can pass like curry, she can shoot like curry, but she can’t do both yet. Pick one and have her do that. I prefer the shooting because she can read the screens off the ball much easier and can facilitate from there. If she brings it up and they blitz the ball is out of her hand and she may never get it back, and produce a bucket like coming off screens might typically. Problem for the WNBA is they need her to score in the fever to win. If these dip shiit girls were smart they would let her drop 40 a game and make everyone money. just my 2 cents.

Imagine if 45 did that. -
I think it was Jeselnik. He had a bit about blind people and talking about braille, “but how do you even find braille?” I mean, I can see, and I couldn’t even tell you where I would want to try to find braille

Funny you say that. We were watching dazed and confused the other night which I had never seen. I know I know. Anyway, there’s so many scenes where older kids are just beating the shiit out of some kid with a paddle. I’m like holy hell…cant make that movie now.
-
Wow, are those bad. Yeah, glad they left them out. was a simpler time where you could just throw a bunch of white kids in a movie and it was just fine. Now you can’t make one without having this rainbow bullshiit of people that would never hang out together but qualifies as representation. I mean, you could make a black version, but they just shoot each other so it’s not as entertaining and you have to suspend your belief that they’re actually at school

Same. I’ve got a lifted Truck so if I get a chance to keep you from cutting in line, definitely doing it. Hate that crap. Especially when it’s everyone knows ends

Just got back from Nashville. Got to see Eric Church play at his new bar, which is phenomenal if you get a chance to go. Fun weekend. Stood next to a girl that was probably in her 20s that said in the span of about two minutes that she wanted to fock me and that she was going to kill herself and she had it all planned out. “Before he cheats” his the national anthem of that freaking town. The louder the girl sings it the better chance you have of banging her I’ve noticed. anyway, got Morgan Wallen next month and the day after that concert Warren Zeiders. Oh hell wait no seeing John Pardi on June 12. Jesus. Kill me.

Yeah that one is good. Nice call

Sorry…yes nephew. please don’t try to lessen or marginalize the fact that they weren’t father son. Dalton is a criminal.

It’s terrible. It’s always going to be terrible. Problem is we have a bunch of nitwits that never watched it before or been around it and so they don’t know any better. It’s flat out terrible basketball but that’s not what the narrative is so people just go with it.

Playoffs have been on TNT or TBS…Cubs are on Marquee. Shouldnt you be out telling women to be subservient to men and buying a Butker jersey?
-
We need an ORIGINAL Road House thread from the first movie ”JC Penny is coming here because of me…ask anyone…theyll tell ya” —Brad Wesley Guy was just trying to build his community and what did he get for it? Some out of towner killing his son and wrecking his whole management team. Disgusting.

Interesting because I thought I read a story where those guys were complaining that it went straight to Amazon and not the theaters. Probably cost them all a lot of money. Wonder if it will hit theaters this time. Kind of an unusual situation.
-
Yeah, I am so ready for the novelty of her in the WNBA to wear off. It just shows you how powerful ESPN is because they keep shoving it down our throat that this is good basketball when it’s so painfully obvious it’s not.

Well, my point was the idea of these women having regrets that how many of them just didn’t have a highly successful and fulfilling job they were doing. The more educated the better job and potentially the more fulfilling job to where you don’t have that regret of not staying home was what I was getting at. we can debate whether he’s right. He just probably shouldn’t of said it because anyone telling another group of people what would make them happy or how they should live is always going to go badly.
-
Yeah, I just wonder how much of that correlates because women still struggle in the workplace so they are taking jobs that are not what I would say are the most fulfilling? You’re waitress jobs your service industry jobs. So yeah, when faced with the option of staying home and raising kids versus crap jobs? Easy choice. Like how many teachers have that regret? How many doctors? How many female CEOs? Probably not nearly as many. I don’t know. It’s an interesting topic but I agree that we shouldn’t tell women what they should be doing.
-
Yeah, and I think it goes both ways because being a stay home dad if I take my girls somewhere, it’s usually me and like 30 moms with kids running around. And I do kind of look at them and go how many of you regret giving up things you wanted to do in life to stay home so your husband could work? I feel like it has to be a lot. I mean, I coached basketball for a lot of years and I would go back to it in a second if I could, but I can’t. Do I regret it? Yeah a lot of days I do. But we all make choices. I just wonder how many of those women that feel like they want to fall into that stay at home mom role actually regret that they didn’t pursue things and they just acquiesced to their husband
-
True, but in the end history will show that allowing him to vote was correct. I look at women getting careers in the same light in that the narrative is that they would rather be at home raising the kids which I think overtime will develop into more women wanting the careers because they have that opportunity that they didn’t have before. So you’re looking at it through the lens of well that’s what they would prefer and that’s their nature where I’m looking at it through the lens of well yeah because they weren’t given any other option. And when they are given options like they are now many are choosing careers and education. by no means am I saying you are wrong and I’m correct I just think we’re looking at it through different glasses is all
-
I don’t think just because you have educational and career goals for yourself as a woman you are somehow a feminist. I mean, this has roots in religion, and there are many Bible verses, talking about the women being quiet and submissive and essentially answering to her man. Well these goofballs get it ingrained in them that they get to make decisions for human beings that they find inferior. Luckily women are saying you can keep that nonsense and they are getting smarter getting more powerful and good for them if they earn it. They should. Saying they would prefer to be at home is a wild thing to say in 2024.
-
It was also 50 years ago. A lot has changed. It was a dumb comment by Harrison. But he’s a religious nut and those people want their women to be submissive. Not surprising.
-
Eric Church at his new bar in Nashville friday!! Cant freaking wait
-
Oh yeah, I’m guessing you agreed with himzzzYou religious nut jobs and making sure you have submissive women
