To me it’s these kids don’t have any guidance….you have a combination of being told their mental illness is normal and so when they get bullied it’s almost twice as bad. Make it mandatory for every kid. Are you going to prevent 100%? No but my God it can’t hurt and would certainly help a lot of kids. yeah, of course, money is going to be the biggest obstacle, but we find it for all kinds of other garbage.

Seems like a far better avenue than the band aids like metal detectors, guards, etc. No way some fashion of counseling wouldnt help save lives and prevent something like this.

I’m just tired of the charade. This isn’t left or right but just the whole show. I think all of us could probably do the speech after everyone of these events, we all have it memorized. We praise, law-enforcement for the quick and decisive actions that saved lives. The EMS staff who worked with dispatch to get the wounded to the hospital. Work in the phrase, senseless act. Lower flags to half staff, put a patch on a jersey somewhere, hold a vigil, mention counseling services going to be available, blah blah blah blah blah. then, none of them do a damn thing about it. Like why go through the show at all of trotting out a podium and making sure the backdrop is right and have agents stand there they’re going to say nothing. It’s just the same show over and over again and none of them on either side do a damn thing. like take whatever money we were thinking of putting towards armed guards or metal detectors (that im aware nobody has) and hire more mental health counselors. That’s mandatory for four years of high school. Every student.

Exactly. I don’t have sympathy for these people. They are the ones that normalized all of this to the point where kids go and think they’re focking cats at school and want to be provided a cat box. Yeah that’s why you see a player near the basket take a shot and when it misses then they call the foul because they want the game to flow if they can. So if the guy gets a little bit of contact that could go either way but he makes the shot. They are going to let them play, but they’ll ring it up if he misses. like look at the Rose Bowl the other day. That was one of the best officiated a games I’ve seen in a long time because they just let everything go and let the players figure it out on both sides. It was fantastic.

The same people that complain the traveling doesn’t get called throw fits on Sundays when holding calls get made every other play. If it doesn’t necessarily affect the play, they are going to let it go. A breakaway like that he could’ve taken 10 dribbles and still dunked it. not saying i 100% agree with it but I also don’t really want to see officials blowing the whistle every other play
