Exactly. I refuse to live that way where I need to go armed to go get a gallon of milk. If that’s the paranoid world, people want to live in they can certainly do it. I’m just not.

Well we get into a little bit of “acceptable risk” as a society just driving. We have to do it. I dont find needing to go strapped to get eggs or that my 5 year old needs security at her kindergarten class as “acceptable” but things have devolved to that point for many people. Adding guns to the equation clearly isnt working.

Unfortunately most of the things you listed only harm themselves or their own kids. theres irresponsible and then theres a weekly toddler shooting someone with a gun in the house. We are waaay beyond irresponsible

Everyone is a responsible gun owner right up until they are not. We don’t go a week in this country without a kid under the age of seven shooting themselves or a sibling or a family member. But yes, please preach about all these responsible owners. And again. Vast majority of us are white middle class people. We are not getting shot in a gang war shootout or in a bad neighborhood. Itll be at your nice mall or grocery store

This is the dumbest comparison. Yeah, he killed six little children with a knife that can’t fight back. It would’ve been 30 with a gun or all of them. Can we at least be a little reasonable that if you removed guns and all people had were knives, the deaths would go down significantly, because in general, most people are pussies and are not going to risk the actual physical altercation of killing someone with a knife that’s up close, personal and the person actually has the potential to beat your ass and take the knife from you. Good lord
