    Chiefs Receivers 2022 - predictions?

Yes and yes. Before camp started I thought the same as you with regards to his larger role....thinking MVS would be the best adp bargain out of the KC WR. I was taking him in mocks as the 2nd KC wr drafted after Juju. Opinion has changed since camp began. The splits listed above that I commented on flipflopping the numbers are roughly 25 points apart depending on scoring.... the production and roles will be similar but I'd give a slight nod to Mecole for the reasons already listed....if someone is wanting exposure to the kc passing game then either of those guys going where they're going is a basically a flip a coin decision as far as I'm concerned. Equal floor / equal upside.

    Tom Brady

Brady was 2nd highest scoring Qb in this league last year too.

    Tom Brady

Don't disagree but considering Allen went in the 2nd, Mahomes and Herbert in the 3rd it still surprised me.

    Chiefs Receivers 2022 - predictions?

IMHO... Mecole will out perform MVS and would flip flop those two splits listed above. He's been part of the organization since day 1 and yes, they didn't extend him and are allowing him to play out his rookie deal. MVS is on 1 year deal as well and he's definitely had some drop issues in camp and in preseason games (something Packers fans can comment on)... They are both essentially playing the same role in the passing game with regards to being the Hill replacement deep threats. Difference is Mecole is active in the screen game and occasional run game. The "others" 800 and 8 tds I think is pretty spot on....Mahomes is gonna be spreading it out all over the place this year....TE's, RBs, 4th string wideouts, etc.

    Tom Brady

My draft last night saw Brady fall to the 12th rd in a 6 pt passing TD 10 teamer. Yes his oline, interior specifically, is already getting destroyed with injuries and he’s been MIA for his masked singer filming but still surprised that slip.

    Evans vs Pittman

What’s the truth to Brady not wanting to drop back 600+ times again this year and being one of the reasons for coming back was Arians moving on and that philosophy exiting the building?? Also, how do you think Brady’s performance on this seasons upcoming “masked singer” will play out in relation to Evan’s red zone looks?

    Chiefs Receivers 2022 - predictions?

From his game film I’d say these reports have been wildly exaggerated…. Coaches like him though and he’s obviously had a good camp….because of that he’s probably the reason Jones gets cut.

    Preseason Week 2 - Observations

Isiah Pacheco is no where near the rookie product Kareem Hunt was…. His after contact game is UAF. Soft hands and can move out of the backfield well, other than that doesn’t impress me. Sounds like he’s had a great camp tho and is gonna get RoJo cut

Tyreek Hill and K.C.'s Offense 2021

From 10/22/21 via SFA No one is blitzing Patrick Mahomes this season. Per TruMedia, Mahomes is the least blitzed quarterback in the league on just 12.8% of his dropbacks. This isn’t exactly new. Defenses started treating Mahomes and the Kansas City offense this way throughout last season when teams went two-high at a wild rate in an attempt to stop explosive pass plays. Last season, Mahomes was blitzed on 20.6% of his dropbacks, which was already the second-lowest rate in the league during the 2020 season. Of course, Mahomes killed the blitz when those extra rushers were sent. He completed 69.1% of his passes for 9.31 yards per attempt and a league-leading 0.48 EPA per dropback against five or more rushers in 2020. Instead of tasking the risk of not getting pressure with the extra rushers and getting shredded, defenses have gotten less aggressive on the pass rush and have decided to keep those defenders in coverage. ....I mean, someone can go back through and chart his stats vs. the blitz in the 5 games that he's played without Tyreek if you want. Mahomes is an all-time elite QB. Some of you guys are funny...."out of the top 8 QB scorers" YES, if he gets injured and misses time he won't make the top 6 or 8 scoring QBs. If he stays healthy then the KC offense would need to turn into the SF or Baltimore offense for him not to be a top 5 or 6 Fantasy QB. He completed six passes to six different receivers on their first drive of the preseason the other day. Will this KC offense look different than years' past without Ty??? Hell yes. Will they fall from being a perennial top 3 offense in the NFL to outside the top 10 ?? I say hell NO but that's just my educated humble opinion.

Tyreek Hill and K.C.'s Offense 2021

In five games without Tyreek Hill, the former league MVP has accumulated a passer rating of 103.1 with 1,737 yards and eight touchdowns to only one interception. He's averaging 347.4 yards per game with a 63.5 completion percentage and 103 passer rating. I think he'll be OK.

Tyreek Hill and K.C.'s Offense 2021

Mahomes 2021 vs. "lots of blitz" = #1 in passer rating and #1 in completion percentage If I'm a Mahomes owner/fan or KC fan, please....blitz away...

UPDATE: Melvin Gordon resigns with Denver

Greatly improved QB play is the underrated factor here
  15. ....found Kiper's burner account huh testy, testy....
  16. don't forget to include "pump up prospects based on relationships with player agents and get kick backs for the pump and dump strategies".
  17. 100% agree with everything bolded. Poor decision making in college means poor decision making in the Pros. Large measures of improvement in accuracy from CFB to Pros are very rare....Josh Allen is the perfect outlier here. "insert handshake emoji"

UPDATE: Melvin Gordon resigns with Denver

IF Gordo stays then who are you taking ahead of Javonte ?? Another potential (and highly likely) positive for JW is the removal of old timers Fagnio as HC and Shurmur as OC. Williams was never going to have much of a leash his rookie year behind a vet like Gordon and with traditionalists like Fangio and Shurmur calling the shots. Even if they bring Gordon back I'm banking on the new young guys to recognize the exceptional tape and analytics to maximize Javonte's ability. Low end RB1 with top 3 potential.
  19. Averages yes, good deal I missed that note. Personally I don't think much of this draft class either and if I was an NFL GM there would be maybe one QB I'd consider 1st round grade.... and I agree on Corral.
  20. Probably, IDK as I'm with you on using pff as a non-skill position reference tool. I'll add to it that pff is owned by Chris Collinsworth and has a reputation for "who is evaluating these guys and what are their credentials" type of deal. This is my point though, you're going to get a wide variety of opinions so take them all with a grain of salt. Use the multiple tools to evaluate, everything that has been listed already plus using your own "eye test". I do not believe Howell will go first or second either, again, this is my point. PFF is no "youtube" or "twitter" scouting service ran from Mom's basement. Mel Kiper is wrong 80% of the time and keeps his job every year.

UPDATE: Melvin Gordon resigns with Denver

Javonte had SIX games last season with less than DD carries. He averaged 12 carries a game with 43 receptions on the year. If you add up his actual carries to match his average in those games he missed the DD, 12 carry, mark; then that would add 30 carries to give him a projected 233 carries (up from 203 LY) 233 carries would've placed him 9th in carries last year and 276 touches placed him 4th overall. You don't get much more bell cow than that these days. This isn't even projecting more than 12 carries a game, which is doubtful. Broncos new HC obviously comes from GB where they ran out a two back system "thunder/lightening" type of deal with Jones/Dillon. Whether they draft a thumper like Jones or keep Gordon one would think Javonte continues to operate in that 15-18 touch per game range with a great chance to come out as a top 3 RB this season.
  22. speaking of Mocks.... who is writing the Mocks for this site?? Ask that person if they realize the Chiefs signed Honey Badgers' replacement at Safety about a month ago for $31 million. The author can stop mocking the Safety position to the Chiefs in the 1st round as "Tyrann Mathieu's replacement IF he leaves in Free Agency". Were these Mocks written a month ago to be posted now??
  23. Odds on 1st rd QBs drafted Over 2.5 -200 Over 3.5 +220 -200 is a lot of juice but imho that is an auto bet. Teams overdraft QBs ever single year without fail. 3 QBs will be drafted in the 1st, possibly a 4th even. Scouting reports are a dime a dozen, comparing them is useful for background info but if you're talking draft result projections you're better off listening and reading mocks / scouting feedback of guys like Sharpe, Lombardi, Cosell. PFF for instance has the QBs ranked in order Howell Willis Ridder No Pickett, No Corral.
  24. Number of NFL QBs to throw for over 5000 yards in consecutive seasons?? One. Drew Brees. Drew Brees QB coach? Joe Lombardi Bobby Herbert QB coach? Joe Lombardi Perhaps he'll be the second but history is not on his side. (17 games is BS by the way for these records) An asterisk should be placed on the year every time there is a macro level change in any league....but anyway... All that being said, my response was to the Axeman's question of standard vs. other formats. I was merely giving my opinion on why that might be a difference in choosing between the players in two different scoring formats. Those ADP's were in best ball format so something to note there. Boom or bust I'm taking Lamar....redraft leagues I'd lean with your opinion on consistency and floor of JH.
