    D. Williams didn't even get one carry?

true, don't expect much of anything from Williams this year unless Foster gets hurt. Those drafting him in the mid rounds hopefully either did so for insurance (they already had Foster) or for keeper leagues. If you took him as a #3 or were expecting production out of him alongside Foster then you didn't do your homework, or listened to those who didn't know what they were talking about.

    Caddy over Gore?

With both of Tampa's starting guards out this week and playing against Baltimore's defense I think I am going to start F.Gore over Cadillac. Cadillac is still going to get the carries but the most likely scenario I see is 25 carries for close to 100yds w/ out a TD. I don't see much improvement from last year in the Cards' defense so Im sure Gore can do some damage but the only thing that concerns me is the 49ers getting down early and having to abandone the run game. In that case their probably wouldn't be much difference between Gore & Caddy's numbers. What do you guys think?

Please sit Portis untill Houston !

Yes, I completely agree. I would hate to see him come back against Dallas and have them fock him up (which they will if he does). Another two weeks of rest & some practice will be so much more beneficial to him and a first start against the Texans would be great...25 carries for 130 and 2tds will be a nice start.

    *** Official Chambers discussion ***

....Can we just delete all the other posts in this thread except for these? Yes Miami didn't figure out they actually needed to throw to him until the second half and yes Culpepper needs to work on some things and learn again how to throw an accurate ball. Check out Miami's next few games until their bye, they will be successful. It is a long season, do not fear Chambers owners.

Ike Taylor can cover Chris Chambers

That had more to do with who was calling Miami's plays and throwing Chambers the rock. Taylor got punked like a little ###### w/ that stiff arm on the screen for Chambers and Daunte threw the ball 10 yards over Chambers' head in the endzone. Yes Ike has skills but don't bring that nonsense in here.

Why does Culpepper Suck So Bad?

...Finally someone makes a worthwhile intelligent comment about Daunte's performance. This is Pitts D and once they knew Miami had to throw they just sat back and waited. Daunte really didn't look bad, considering the circumstances, until late in the game. There are many weeks left in the season and I wouldn't be too concerned if I was a Daunte owner. ....steamypoop....your name cannot describe you any better. I think we all can picture what you look like quit well now.

    Very Impressed with FWP Tonight

I don't know who you were watching but there is no way in hell you can describe Brown's running as "soft". Were you watching the same game as everyone else? Pittsburgh's D is stout and Miami's line was not giving Brown much of anything to work with. Yes his yardage sucked but he was running with power, breaking tackles & moving people forward after contact. Ronnie is going to put up very good numbers this year, as is Parker who contrary to several of these posts did NOT get pulled because of the goal line situation. He had just carried the ball 3 or 4 consecutive times pushing it down to the goal line. It was clearly a breather he was getting yanked for, not a Haynes vulture attempt. Haynes by the way looked worthless in the few pass & run opportunities he was presented. I was also expecting a few more receptions(screens, etc.) for FWP but I see Whisenhunt working there, he should still be good for 20-25 touches a game and will put up the numbers. If I was an owner of either of them I would be happy and be expecting good things for the year.

    Top 5 Running Backs.......

yes, Foster should have a nice game against that ATL D. I know ATL should be improved on the d-line but check out what Foster did to them in the 2 games last year. With Foster in my flex I am looking forward to it. Bump to Westbroke going off the first few games of the season. I too need his value to climb so I can hopefully get another #1 WR before he gets injured. Although I do think he'll stay healthy for the majority of the season I'm hoping to move him while the value his high & before my playoff run.

    Many Eggs, One Basket

3 Leagues Portis-2 Holt-2 Chambers-3 M-Jones-3 Watson-2 D.Williams-2 I don't really worry about this, its more of a pain that in my main $$ league my competitors own SJax, Rudi, & R.Brown, who I also own in two other seperate leagues. I will be doing a lot of selective rooting througout the season in order for everything to go my way.

Portis Owners, what are you doing for week 1

As of now Im benching him for FWP. Im also starting Westbrook & Foster at my flex. Just like the rest of you, Im going to keep waiting on any good news before I make my final decision Thursday evening. Im also debating whether to play F.Gore instead of Parker, that way I could wait until Sunday for the Portis decision. Anyone second that move over FWP?
  12. kcBlitzkrieg

    W. Parker week 1

Im planning on starting him in favor of Portis to go w/ D.Foster & Westbroke, unless some breaking news comes out before gametime Thursday on Portis' status. I know that Dophins D is supposed to be tough but with his touches he should be good for a TD and 120 total yards.

Matt Jones this week and year

I have him as my 4th receiver after DJax but as you know, Djax's PT is in question for this week. So yes, I am going to start him as my #3 behind Holt & Chambers but I don't expect much against Dallas' D. I do like his chances for the year though. The "1000 & 9" projection would be excellent and likely if Leftwich can stay on his feet.

Must drop one & pick up a second defense

    ....Reche...alligator arms....Caldwell. No doubt.
  15. kcBlitzkrieg

    Deshaun Foster

120 and a TD. Foster has good days against the ATL. Check it out. Him over TJones, yes.
  16. kcBlitzkrieg

    T.Jones for Lundy

Not unless its a keeper league.
  17. kcBlitzkrieg

    L White vs Norwood?

Im in a similar situation, I have Lendale in my keeper league but have been debating whether or not to drop him for Norwood. For this year only both have similar opportunity to produce but I think Norwood will sooner. Seems he will get more PT from the start while White will have to wait until Brown gets banged up (which he always does) In terms of a keeper standpoint Im leaning towards Jerious, with that rush offense and Dunns decline with age I see him more of a top back (in terms of touches) than Lendale.....that said Im still sitting here w/ Lendale on my roster so Im gonna have to make a decision soon.

Reviewing mocks and LJ is dropping like rock...

Personal preference, changes on the o-line, change in offensive philosophy w/ Herm coming in. Personally I thinks its a little ridiculous to drop him all the way to 8th. My local KC league he went #3 overall, which suprised me. While there were some changes on the o-line Herm is still going to give him 350+ carries. At worst he has a repeat performance as last year statwise, 1700+ 20tds. I don't see how you can go wrong w/ LJ, LT2 or Alexander. They will all put up monster numbers.
  19. kcBlitzkrieg

    KC homers !

.....yes, that was extremely retarded. Either he has never been out to Arrowhead or he just wants to be that "Bronco Fan" I would though look for a ticket in the lots compared to the scalpers on the outside. As for the night life, you'll find more class down on the Plaza but Westport is still a good time.

    Just drafted Ben Watson...

I was targeting Watson in my draft and he got taken right before I was going to grab him in the 11th. I still got LJ Smith though in the 13th and picked up Troupe FA. Im still aiming for him in my other 2 drafts.
  21. I know this sounds like I should have pulled the trigger on this already but first look at my situation. Owner has offered me T.O. & Caddillac in exchange for Portis & LJ Smith. I guess I am not as concerned about Portis' injury as most and with my RB situation even if Portis misses a few games as long as he is available for my playoff run he should put up monster numbers. My roster now looks like this: QB Bulger RB Portis RB Westbrook WR Holt WR Chambers WR M.Jones Flex D.Foster TE LJ Smith Bench RB F.Gore, W.Parker, De.Williams, & L.White WR D.Jackson TE B.Troupe I have 2 injury risk starter at RB (3 if you count Foster at Flex), making this trade would still leave me with the injury risk RBs of Caddy, Westbrook & Foster but Id have a 3-headed monster at WR of Holt/T.O./Chambers w/ DJax & M.Jones coming of the bench. My personal opinion on Portis' upside is the holdup but is keeping him worth the risk considering what Im being offered? All opinions welcome, leave link & Ill be glad to reply.

    Huge Trade Offer--Portis for T.O. & Caddy!

Its 10 teams but yeah I think Im gonna pull the trigger....
  23. kcBlitzkrieg

    Trade TO for Portis?

With you RB situation Id make the trade, having Portis will give you 2 monster RBs and you have better depth at WR to make adjustments week to week. Even if he misses a game or two you have to consider what numbers he'll likely put up for the entire year. I have Portis now and my only concern is if the shoulder turns into an ongoing problem for the year. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222821

To all of you picking #7

I drafted the day after the Portis injury and he fell to me at #7. I was planning on SJax before that but took Portis when he fell. Ours went LJ, SA, Peyton (i know??), LT, Edge, Tiki. Sjax, R.Brown & Lamont went after I took Portis. I just made sure I built up some depth at RB to ensure Portis, the upside is worth the risk, epecially at #7.
  25. "That guy" took Peyton 3rd, then LT, Edge, Tiki went. Portis came to me at 7 and I didn't hesitate. I knew his injury status and now Im having second thoughts. Initially I was planning on going SJAX and now kinda wishing Id had taken him anyway. I feel I can get by with my RB depth even if the worst happens (Portis has problems all year) but Ive got an opportunity to trade Westbrook/LJ Smith for Caddy/Burleson. We start 2RB/3WR/Flex and am kind of concerned about my depth after my 2 WRs. My top 2 rbs have big injury ?s, do the trade or wait it out a while? Portis Westbrook Holt Chambers FWP D.Foster D.Jackson Bulger F.Gore DeAngelo W M.Jones Akers LJ Smith Lendale White Dallas DST Leftwich
