The PLAYER told the media about he injury a few days before their last preseason game… the TEAM and LOCAL MEDIA said NOTHING about the injury other than Tomlin stating Najee’s “foot was stepped on” and that was in training camp before preseason started. ZERO was said on that injury after it happened until Najee said he had a lisfranc injury a couple days before PG3… condolences to those who drafted him prior to his comment cause no one had any idea otherwise. If you took him post comments then that is on you.

The player comparisons are moot though, other than the cap hits to their respective teams those years…. Russ had the LOB and top 3 defense… Mahomes will operate a top 5 offense regardless, less the injury factor. His KC defenses have been avargae at best… what happens in year 10 with a top 5 defense a la Tommy Boys NE years??

Yep my point… it’s not an outrageous bet if you aren’t looking at it at face value. A bookmaker could make that +125 simply because the gen pub will see plus money on “Mahomes to win only one more SB in career” and eat it up when more likely that bookmakers actual number could be closer to 3-1 or more.

If you're a DEF streamer then there is nothing wrong with not drafting a defense in place of a skill position player, especially if your drafting weeks before the season starts and want to see how a player or two's camp position plays out. I'll often do this, especially in leagues with limited bench spots.
