“a known violent group of terrorists“. Here is an example of a recent example of a terror plot uncovered in Belgium & the UK. Belgium foils Jihadist plot to kill Prime Minister and other politicians in drone attack Sb what is an example of an Antifa attack that you think we’ve seen or that was foiled?

Part of what’s happening is yes people who love their country are used by Trump, Miller & Co. I’m not being patronizing, it’s sad & tragic.

Thanks. And I’ve heard this point before. IMO there is almost no daylight between the Jonmx’s of the world, who used to occupy odd corners of the www, & say Stephen Miller, who’s practically running the government now. I think it’s worth it to put a nail on it, but then we’ve likely learned all we need to learn on the subject. And really having read a good deal of history, it’s old techniques. Basically ordinary citizens are put to a CHOICE in every aspect of their life - personal, work, political - and the choice is that anything done by the state is justifiable because “the other side” (the left, the socialists, the communists) are an existential thread, to ethnicity, to the homeland (we never used to use that word), religion (ie evangelical Christianity), on & on. And really the DOI, Constitution & our Founders’ basic documents & ideals are inapposite of all that & there is no longer the broadly held essential agreement or compact we once had in this country. I understand that, I’m certainly not thinking I can influence or persuade the Jonmxes of the world, I assure you.

It is kind of funny. Comey, Republican. Wray, Republican. Mueller, Republican. Senate report, Republican majority. You could just look at purely Republican sources & entirely avoid journalism on the subject altogether.
  6. Eh, Trump’s mother got here after my latest arriving relative. I’d say he’s in line before me.
  7. Ha well for the Trump administration that’s just about everyone. You can pay 100K$ for a visa though. Or you can be a white person from South Africa. Wish I was kidding or being sarcastic.

I’m happy to respond, but before that, would you just help me understand if you still view yourself as a Libertarian? Because if you’re arguing for maximizing state control to “debank” & criminalize political contributions & support then that is the far, far, far opposite end of the spectrum or graph from Libertarianism. It’s either nationalism or hard socialism or some mix of the two. TIA.

Look I’m fine with the ‘usual don’t trust journalism’ response. Seriously. At least it sounds like you oppose that sort of thing in principle.
  10. James did not prosecute Trump criminally for any individual criminal acts. James charged Trump Org. - Trump Org faced sanctions & fines. Trump never faced jail time via James.

That’s pretty funny. I railed against the Clintons, specifically when Lynch met Bill Clinton on the tarmac. Even when it became clear they most likely hadn’t discussed anything substantive I still pointed out the appearance of conflict was atrocious, inappropriate & damaging. There were multiple other instances. And I defended the Republican DOJ practices as well. The torture memos, the firing of (gasp!) 6 or so US Attorneys. Man it all seems so ridiculous in hindsight compared to what has transpired. You and I certainly defended the same points often though. And I notice you don’t bring up objecting to Republicans doing what you responded to above - the attacking of the funding of an entire party by criminalizing opposition, a hallmark of authoritarianism - and why? Because the Republicans never did it either.
  12. Hamas carries out wave of Gaza killings >>CAIRO (Reuters) -A greatly weakened Hamas has sought to reassert itself in Gaza since a ceasefire took hold, killing at least 33 people in a crackdown on groups that have tested its grip and appearing to get a U.S. nod to temporarily police the shattered enclave.<< >> But Trump, speaking on his way to the Middle East, suggested Hamas had been given a temporary green light to police Gaza. "They do want to stop the problems, and they've been open about it, and we gave them approval for a period of time," he said, responding to a journalist's question about reports that Hamas was shooting rivals and instituting itself as a police force.<<

Marjorie Taylor Greene is starting to get it about mass deportation

Weird stuff, Mace comes in as a supposed moderate, becomes a performance artist appealing to the extremes. Greene comes in & is for some time an absolute nutjob, goes through some sort of therapy & starts using full sentences? Fetterman comes in as the blue collar midwestern average Joe Dem, the Republicans try to have him thrown out the Senate because they claim he’s a zombie, & then he becomes the New Manchin.

When asked about the Egyptian Rabaa Massacre, in which 800 protestors were gunned down by military with Blackhawks, Trump says “It’s great.”
  16. This is so ???: - Israel is not there, so they’re not dealing with terrorists. Ok so I guess there’s no deal? - Trump is there, with Abbas, Sisi & the Qatari Emir. So he is dealing with terrorists? The logic is twisted like some bad hummus.
  17. Yes, just don’t try to live here. - TIA. s/ America.
  18. You do realize Trump has dealt with the Palestinians & their Arab backers. Right?
  19. So is Halligan, also not a crime.
  20. You must be directing this towards Trump. Abbas is there, Netanyahu is not.

Fentanyl Is Smuggled for U.S. Citizens By U.S. Citizens, Not Asylum Seekers

The Trump administration has reduced its substance abuse & mental health program funding to 1/3rd.
  22. At the peace conference- no Israelis attend. - Abbas attended for Palestine.
  23. This is a replay of the Afghan deal. Trump made a deal directly with the Taliban & cut out our allies. Chaos ensued. I do hope for peace.
