Another EDVA senior prosecutor fired or transferred. Fifth EDVA prosecutor fired, this one the no. 2 in the office. >>Cleary, with years of prosecutorial and trial experience, had served in the administrations of Republican leadership in Virginia before joining the federal prosecutors’ office in Alexandria, Virginia, this year. She then served in the US attorney position for about three days, before Trump installed Halligan, his former personal attorney and a lawyer with no criminal trial experience. Cleary, at the time, was moved to become the office’s first assistant — essentially the top prosecutor’s job under Halligan.<< -

Whats crazy is right now the Trump administration could prosecute Burisma, Zlochevsky & other board members. But why bother with all that corruption. Yes by all means, go get the lady who helped her niece instead. -

Pfft, he’s probably classifiable as a scumbag. Slept with his widowed sister in law. Worked for a corrupt oligarch. Didn’t pay his taxes. He testified in front of Congress that he was a drug addict. They never got him for perjury that’s for sure. But you didn’t ask about any of that, you wanted to know about the investigations of him. -

I’m sure he used more than one hooker. But while you’re on the subject a woman testified that Trump left her cash after a night of sex. Stephanie Clifford aka Stormy Daniels, porn actress, stripper, & who knows what else. -

Besides the US, 4 countries have investigated Burisma & Zlochevsky. Right, Zlochevsky was corrupt, classic Ex-Soviet theft. -

Yep you’re right. Trump’s hand picked guy, 4 countries, & the GOP’s personal Kentucky pitbull couldn’t find a single criminal act in 10 years but I’m sure the truth is out there in a Minsk bank account or buried in the sands of Rehobeth Beach. -

This is what happened. Weiss continued the corruption investigation & Comer continued his. Weiss: Burisma & Zlochevsky had been investigated since at least 2014 by Treasury & DOJ, and also by UK, Spain & I think Lithuania. In all that time between 3 administrations, Weiss - who was appointed by Trump - & criminal investigations in different countries including the conservative UK government which actually brought a case against Burisma, not one allegation was made against Hunter Biden. Weiss investigated HB something like 6 years personally & even had Special Counsel authority and brought tax & gun form charges on two opposite coasts. Comer: he got ALL the Treasury records on transactions. He got bank account & financial transactions. He got everything he asked for. He found *ONE transaction in which out of maybe something like $800K, a single $40,000 transaction went from HB, to his cousin, who then sent it (a separate transaction as a part of a larger transaction) to Joe Biden. After Biden was VP & before he was President. $40,000.00. HB however did just win a defamation suit against Patrick Byrne, so there’s that. -

Biden & Garland were stuck in 1990. Totally had no clue about the urgency of the situation. -

He pleaded guilty, was going to be sentenced ***the same day***. Instead what happened was 1. He pleaded guilty to tax charges - a plea deal was made anyway, awaited sentence 2. There was a trial on the gun form charge, never sentenced, & 3. He was pardoned. If they had just given him the sentence in the first place it would have saved a trial, time & he would’ve been sentenced. He had a Trump appointed prosecutor & 2 Trump appointed judges. -

Eh Weiss took Hunter Biden to court on a checked box on a form. Despite a plea deal where he pleaded guilty & despite there realky being no precedent for that charge in those circumstances. So yeah they’re serious. -

I’m pretty sure liberals are fine with this. Palestinians are celebrating - seriously they’re out in the streets partying. They have their nation state & Hamas survives with amnesty & no war crimes tribunal, and they get their 2700 prisoners back, families reunited. Only one who is unhappy in all this is Netanyahu, & probably foreign policy conservatives. -

>>The war was triggered by Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, when some 1,200 people were killed and 251 kidnapped.<< >>Some were at the Nova music festival, where almost 400 people were killed and dozens kidnapped.<< >>On Monday, Hamas released 20 hostages into the custody of the Red Cross, …<< >>Also Monday, two hostages previously thought to be living were confirmed dead.<< It’s a lot. IMO this is a war crime & everyone responsible should be brought before a war crimes trial. But there will be no war crimes tribunal. -

Gaza City clashes between Hamas and clan members leave 27 dead
SaintsInDome2006 replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
Right, and see Point 6 in which all Hamas members will be granted amnesty. And the deal itself is agreed to & negotiated by Hamas. The rightful legal government of Gaza is the Palestinian Authority, not Hamas. And in the back end of this there will be a 2 State Solution, that is Palestine will be recognized as a nation. This was the *whole goal of the terrorism on 10/7/23. -

If I understand you correctly that means we shouldn’t be doing a deal at all. -

It’s the same deal that’s been on the table since last year. It’s the Arabs’ deal. Go look at it - Israel bombed Qatar & Qatar (& Co.) paid Trump. It took a week after the Qatar attack. Netanyahu *apologized in front of Trump in person & that was all she wrote. 2017 Trump called Qatar “terrorists.” Try putting your conservative hat back on, it’s probably jammed in a closet somewhere. -

I read this and all I see is ‘Israel went to war for 2 years & didn’t destroy Hamas’ & ‘Trump just did a deal with terrorists Hamas & didn’t require their disbanding or disarmament as a precondition.’ -

In 2017 Trump designated the Qataris as terrorists, oddly now he doesn’t recall that. -

I would like to see that data, I agree. However libs/progs/DemSocs are realky clear about the living wage. I don’t agree on it but ideologically you’re barking up the wrong tree, and it’s an ideological issue not a data one. If you want anecdotal proof go to a farmers market & talk to the people in the stalls. -

Just one other thing. There’s a skill component to this. It’s not easy. This is also true of the China manufacturing jobs. People don’t just drop their keyboards or leave the unemployment rolls qualified to do this stuff.
