Will Trump Supporters tolerate the Dow closing below 38,000?

Oh, I see. Well if I may - in my own words & POV but having been informed - Trump has been told, in college, by economists, by Mnuchin and Kushner and the best minds the US government can muster in the last 10 years, by businessmen and campaign contributors, that tariffs are poison. He's been told. He does it because he distrusts experts and because it allows him to act as a unitary president, with no controls and allows him to do self-promotion around it. Economically he wants no income tax and he thinks American can return to its pre-1913 economic structure where the government is funded by tariffs.

Allison Morrow In short, Trump doesn't have a goal and he can't make up his mind why he is doing it.
  3. I disagreed with what Biden did or even that he had the legal power to do it but man are there going to be endless lawsuits over this. The US government is going to spend millions and years litigating it.

LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

I'm personally in favor of corporate growth, expanding markets abroad, having greater choice at a lower cost at home.

Yes they’ll continue to sell to us & the consumer will pay more. Easy.

LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

Yeah, well except: ~$12 trillion in lost market cap. ~a couple extra $Trillion in debt due to added bond costs. More weakening of the dollar. Destabilizing the dollar as a global currency reserve. Ad valorum taxes on US consumers which are still incoming. Driving allies and enemies alike into China's arms. But otherwise yeah, fun ride at the traveling carnival.

    Trump Recession Thread

You don’t have to believe PO. Just know that Trump believed the big box retail CEOs who paid him a visit.

The CEOs were from Walmart, Target & Home Depot. You know, where maga shops. I’m fine with it, well aside from the massive unnecessary bleeding, but let El Naranja take his puffing and call it a day. No doubt some new Trumpite crisis will arise soon enough.

The US had the best GDP recovery post Covid, best unemployment and best inflation numbers post Covid in the world. - Every other administration would be seeking to share credit for that rather than attacking the other administration for piggybacking on their efforts. It's like the Covid vaccine, the other accomplishment of the Trump administration but again he and maga want no credit for it. Odd stuff.

Trump - to his credit - dumped ~$7 trillion into the market in 2020.

Pete Hegseth texted war plans to a reporter by accident

Info Hegseth shared with wife and brother came from top general's secure messages - It sounds like SecDef was lifting messages off of a secure network. This takes active work and manual effort from Hegseth itself.

Not just Biden, almost all of them. Presidents don’t go near messing with the economy, at least when things are going well.

Man what % of the American populace invested in some sort of stock or bond does this describe? Also wiping my out $12 trillion in market value is indefensible.

Kash Patel will be confirmed today!

Guys if you prosecute a Deep State operative or a jaywalker you still need evidence. Durham ran it up the flagpole & got shut out twice.

I can recall Louisiana Gov. Edwards for getting indicted for having a few thousand walking around money. And Congressman Bill Jefferson for having a few score thousand in his freezer.

Guys your portfolio is fine & mine is too. But there’s no defending killing $12 trillion worth of market value because of one’s man’s ignorance & thirst for power.

Nancy Mace being less than cordial, convivial, and gracious

These are people who want to be on TV, sell books & gain social media followers. They do not want to legislate. 100% safe district means no consequences.

    Stock Market- Will Rebound

The biggest joke - really it's a sick joke - is that the banging on about Musk's faux department's savings and the cutting of the trade deficit is that the bond yield fluctuations may cost the government another Trillion $$$$ in debt load. The whole thing is a massive waste of time and extremely costly, even if we do manage to get out of this with minor damage.

Yeah, that is odd. Odder still, how does someone with a cabinet level secret service detail get robbed.
