The Magistrate Judge in the Comey case has ordered the DOJ to turn over grand jury materials to Comey, finding real prospect that "government misconduct" may have tainted the case. - Several things going on, but here are a few: that Halligan may have misrepresented the law to the grand jury, may have reviewed Comey’s privileged data, appears to have used only one witness, failed to present the revised indictment which ultimately was filed to the grand jury. - DOJ is ordered to turn over all minutes & recordings by the end of ***today. - Pam Bondi also is caught up in this as she claimed in a court filing that she had retroactively reviewed the grand jury transcripts & approved all this.

They may be trying to forestall the vote, saying it’s not needed now. They may be counting on doing redactions, as you mention. They may count on withholding certain things, like releasing docs pertaining to certain investigations but not others. The whole idea of what are “files” is open to debate. Perhaps they exclude information on non-targets, perhaps they don’t include images. Also I’m guessing there’s a 100% chance the Prince Andrew style photos of Trump with girls that Wolff described seeing will not be in there.

Bill Barr had years of experience at DOJ. I don’t know if Bondi can do the same sort of coverup. Whatever they do it will be dove with a meat cleaver instead of scalpel.

Epstein was doing consulting work a wide variety of foreign interests, including Qatar, KSA & Russia. He had a whole cottage industry advising on insights about Trump. It will be interesting to see what emerges from that.
