Get ready for the October Surprise
SaintsInDome2006 replied to Patented Phil's topic in The Geek Club
I was trying to say Tree made a reasonable, believable point about Axios. However as to this non sequitur, yes they’re all “backstabbing deep staters,” all of them, the swimsuit models, the generals, the decorated heroes, the dedicated staffers, the campaign advisors, the ex-wife, the employees, the Republican Vice Presidents (plural), etc, etc, all of them. A cast of hundreds who testify, who write, who do interviews in person & on background. Oh I hear ya, Trump calls them “nasty” like some elderly version of Annie Wilkes. -

Btw Jon, I was talking about Axios turning down the story (which I believe Tree on), not the story itself. -

I know, I know. Everyone who’s ever known or worked for Trump, from the lowliest call girls to his employees to the nation’s greatest leaders some of whom he selected himself, come running out of their encounters over and over again flailing their arms warning people, but they’re liars, bookmongers, profiteers, traitors, while the Mark Meadowses & Stephen Millers & Steve Bannons & Charlie Kirks of the world are the *real truth tellers. I understand perfectly well. -

Seems reasonable to me, I wouldn’t be surprised if Axios & other US MSM decided not to run the story. Actually I recall a Maga poster here lauding the UK press, maybe the Guardian, for running US stories that US press won’t run. -

One of Trump’s great innovations is taking negative events & turning it into positive personality themes. Liberals Triggered, the press as Enemies of the People, they’re Trying to Stop The Donald But They Can’t, OMB, TDS, Deep State, Russia Russia Russia, etc. Ten years in it’s playing the hits. -

I didn’t know that. It’s definitely tabloid material, I’m guessing other MSM journalists passed on it as well for its luridness. But I also don’t think its truthiness matters to Trump’s supporters. And I’m sure as General noted this likely isn’t whatever claim Halperin was talking about. Even the Guardian states this is a series of continuing reports on Trump in the same vein. -

I mean I guess I share the derangement with two former GOP vice presidents, a former GOP presidential nominee, a chief of staff, generals, war heroes, cabinet secretaries, press secretaries… quite an elite list of the deranged. -

>>A former model who says she met Donald Trumpthrough the late sexual abuser Jeffrey Epstein<<< Linkage. Before we get to the groping thing (predictable responses boffesidez) let’s just keep in mind there are people in Maga who doubt Trump’s friendship with or really courtship of Epstein. -

It’s genuinely amusing thinking what it would take to sink Trump with Magaworld. Even in the wildest Mad Lib wishcasting imaginings what would that even hypothetically be? Peels off his orange coat to reveal he’s really Barack Obama? He’s on a discovered trove of lost Epstein tapes? I can’t even think of anything. -
Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

Thanks for the response. About the sanctity of life issue and What Clinton said, I agree. But keep in mind those were Roe days. A lot of the debate back then was about federal funding of abortions (and I've never agreed with that). And just on the Libertarian piece: FTR I've voted 3rd party before, including state and local elections. And IMO some of the old GOP west swinging Dem in recent years has been about libertarians. - But more specifically, what you're saying is a little at cross odds. Because to me libertarianism would mean all persons (both genders) having a right over one's own medical treatment. In fact, to me, Roe, written by a Republican, is really (while maybe poorly written at times) a Libertarian masterpiece. It's saying you can look at the 9th Amendment, the 10th, the 1st, the 3rd, the 4th, 5th, whatever, however, we have a right to do what we want with our lives and physical bodies. Really they got into trouble with the use of the words "penumbra" and "right of privacy" which critics just constantly drove at with people who aren't geeks about law and language. Cheers. -
2. Khalil Shakir 3. Allen Lazard 4. DeMario Douglas 9. Rashod Bateman 13. Romeo Doubs 15. Tyler Lockett 20. DeAndre Hopkins 21. Keon Coleman ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I like the above. Also if available Jennings, McMillan. JNS, Jeudy, Tillman. Try trading for Waddle, Tyreek Hill if the owner isn't awake to Tua returning.

I heard this ‘if it’s a necessary medical procedure it’s not abortion’ argument while watching Congressional testimony a few months ago. It’s a totally new argument after 50 years of never making that distinction & the whole point is pushback on the political explosion that occurred. If what you were saying was the case there was never any point to the whole pro-life cause because the law in Roe already reflected that. -

To call it a movement? Sure I guess, but it’s a legitimate term. I’d prefer they just form a new party or create a new name for the GOP but obviously they don’t have to. -

You're quite wrong about that. We have OB-GYN doctors leaving the city and state over concerns of prosecution. -

SaintsInDome2006 replied to lod001's topic in FFToday Board
I agree with a lot of the OP. Mahomes is better than good though, he's great. In fact how good he is appears to be solely related to how much KC is pushed. The defense has been too good really as has been the offensive line. But it's not just KC - yes, the penalties, the injuries, the way the players give each other free run out of bounds or in the tackling (& a lot of it has to do with the NFL's rules changes), the constant and long and unnecessary commercials, it's all often really unwatchable. -

What I meant by that was not just the fetus, but also the life of the mother, the possible health of the mother, the mother's ability to have future children, the health and life of the child, and other persons affected by a presidency here and abroad. -
I'd like to see this^^ chart dating to the beginning of the industrial revolution.
