Jan 6 rioters want more than pardons; they want reparations as well
SaintsInDome2006 replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Just so I understand, if you're arguing for more leniency and understanding as to swastika jokes, aren't you the soft one? Patton would have jammed a Howitzer shell up the spleen of anyone making "swastika jokes." I think you and I will agree Trump (T) has nothing to do with swastikas, right? No need to drag him into this, that's on you. -

Linkage. Again, this is marxist language, the sort of stuff that used to be said by Maosists. -

If only there was a way people wrongfully arrested or abused by police could sue for malicious prosecution or violation or civil rights. Trump has proposed that police and law enforcement of all stripes receive total immunity - do you agree with that? -

Ha yeah, man, I'm good, thank you for asking. But I'm not the one yammering on about being shamed into deleting a post that everyone and his mawmaw knows would be inappropriate. -

This really does sound terrible. I'm glad he took it down, kudos for raising it. -

Did you post an actual swastika? That's not really close, it's against the forum rules, almost every normal forum everywhere anyway, this is a nice forearm with nice people mostly interested in sports and geek stuff. It's not 8chan/4chan/(bad stuff follows after that). -

Sorry I’m just asking since you seem to know - but who was the reporter asking the question at the briefing? About 70% of the WH briefing press corps appears to be right wing bloggers, twitter handles like DC Draino & podcasters. -

I used to go every day for something like 12-15 years. Seriously. I do enjoy it, I love the small stages & food, it’s a fest within a fest. But now it’s so damn expensive & they just jam in the crowds. But every so often I go & love it. Anyway have a blast! -

As long as the Saints aren’t involved in always pulling for the Lions. Those fans deserve a day of glory. I just wish they played outdoors.

Fwiw I deleted my OP because Reuters reports the story originated at Punchbowl News, which IIRC is a blog that tries to summarize coverage of big stories around the Capitol. -

Reuters reported the tax itemization was being considered. The post report story is that Amazon says one team considered it but another executive team did not & rejected it. Reuters. Meanwhile the ad valorum tax on your Amazon sale remains. -

Thanks, I have no problem with BI, but they didn’t give the full quote: >>the deal is a deal that I choose. View it differently: We are a department store, and we set the price. I meet with the companies, and then I set a fair price, what I consider to be a fair price, and they can pay it, or they don't have to pay it. They don't have to do business with the United States, but I set a tariff on countries."<< (Axios) My point about this was the concept that Trump claims he sets the price. As a nation in unison we used to mock this kind of thinking. It’s central planning. It’s not strictly communist, tinpot authoritarians like Franco thought they could defy global markets as if one could control the temperature water freezes. But really it’s a Soviet / Leninist / Maoist concept at heart. -
Yes, but you the government have to kill someone on US soil to violate Posse Comitatus, it's any use of military domestically.

The President has by executive order (aka imperial fiat) overridden the Posse Comitatus Act.

Yes hence the quotes where I said what she said in parentheses after - note, no quotes - where I suggested she equated them with enemies of the state. I have no idea what polite description you'd like to use, but go right ahead. I suppose she was just being helpful and the word "hostile" was merely a hanging participle. -

The driver. I'm just going to guess this person has some sort of past DWI or psychiatric issue or violent past and if they took away drivers' licenses for any of that I'd be fine with it. -

Last I recall I believe it was the WH calling amazon enemies of the state (ahem "a hostile and political act"). And then someone said further up said that Amazon would be Bud Lighted (Bud Lit?). I said it was amusing. -
