LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

Sure, one is the change in attitude I just described, & you can throw in the grievance messaging where Trump is the King of all victims but so are his followers. But also, look at today, the WH Press Secretary lashing out & claiming a retail company shouldn’t reflect a tax as a tax on receipts because they’re enemy roaders. Or the President claiming the national economy is a ‘department store’ where he sets the price, which is pure central planning. And the idea that immigration, while there are obvious racist overtones, steals jobs from Americans is an old far left (socialist) canard from the 1950s-80s (& earlier) which Trump has co-opted. Or ‘we have to suffer for the future of the nation’ & it’s our patriotic duty to do so. On & on. -

I’ve been trying to point out Trump is many ways in fact ‘leftist’. That is indeed much of his motivating message. -

I agree with you in the sense I don’t want my country hurt. I hope we succeed in this (somehow). Problem is we already tried it in the 1930s & 1890s, & this country was partly founded on revolting against a king who dumped tariffs (taxes) on us without legislative consent. How many times do you have to hit yourself in the head with a hammer in the Hope this time it will make your headache go away? -

One of Trump’s innovations is that he took a country where people didn’t mind some others having success if they had the hope they might succeed & changed it into one where people don’t mind some pain so long as others suffer more. -

It’s a massive scam, but even beyond that if Biden made utopian promises like this he’d be called a Marxist and senile. -
Sorry, but don’t you work for the deep state, or have in the past? Bring it up with management.

Apparently there are still 28 uncalled seats.

Ha sure. The SEC was investigating Musk’s purchase of twitter. Not only that Neuralink and Tesla were also under investigation. -

Ok let’s see: - Investigations into Musk, twitter & Tesla, dropped. - SpaceX contracts excluded from review. - Programs cut, and Musk companies seek to fill the void. - The value of data taken - god only knows how many TBs & PBs - including highly classified data. - Musk’s minions are just walking out the door with the data & direct or back door access with no accountability. - And then there’s the sensitive, private data. -

This is Donald's schedule for today. It's pretty easy to find. Day usually starts after 1100 ET but today it's 200 pm unless you count lunch. -

I don't have a problem with Trump going on vacation or working from home, especially considering he's 80+ years old. The problem is his charging the US government for staying at his luxury properties in order to make all that possible. -

Jake Schneider works for the White House. What cracks me up about that is even Trump's own release leaves him at 3rd all time in total vacation time. -

Seeking to find efficiencies and create public reporting using formal standards is a conservative principle. OTOH a donor being allowed unfettered access to government programs and data and profiting from it while rife with conflicts of interest is the sort of thing one would expect in a corrupt Dem run city. This is that on crack, steroids and meth all at once.
