IIRC deportations & removals have been down for Trump, roughly below Biden’s numbers. Supposedly part of the reason local officials went away from these INS/ICE raids years ago was a decline in cooperation. Dugan was on the verge of having a criminal trial of this SOB & he was on the verge of being locked up. Probably witnesses & defendants would rather go into hiding rather than show up at the courthouse.

Thank you, and in my opinion a judge has control over her courtroom and that has been inviolate since before the Founding. And the chief judge has control over rules in the courthouse. And the chief Judge said that the person, who was there for another matter altogether, could be arrested in public hallways. So the judge removed his case from the docket and sent him to the hallway where per the affidavit there were two agents. There is nothing wrong with any of that. The part where the man fled on his own into the parking lot was his doing, not the judge's.
