LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

Yes they’ll continue to sell to us & the consumer will pay more. Easy.

LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

Yeah, well except: ~$12 trillion in lost market cap. ~a couple extra $Trillion in debt due to added bond costs. More weakening of the dollar. Destabilizing the dollar as a global currency reserve. Ad valorum taxes on US consumers which are still incoming. Driving allies and enemies alike into China's arms. But otherwise yeah, fun ride at the traveling carnival.

    Trump Recession Thread (aka Trumpcession)

You don’t have to believe PO. Just know that Trump believed the big box retail CEOs who paid him a visit.

LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

The CEOs were from Walmart, Target & Home Depot. You know, where maga shops. I’m fine with it, well aside from the massive unnecessary bleeding, but let El Naranja take his puffing and call it a day. No doubt some new Trumpite crisis will arise soon enough.

Will Trump Supporters tolerate the Dow closing below 38,000?

The US had the best GDP recovery post Covid, best unemployment and best inflation numbers post Covid in the world. - Every other administration would be seeking to share credit for that rather than attacking the other administration for piggybacking on their efforts. It's like the Covid vaccine, the other accomplishment of the Trump administration but again he and maga want no credit for it. Odd stuff.

Will Trump Supporters tolerate the Dow closing below 38,000?

Trump - to his credit - dumped ~$7 trillion into the market in 2020.

Pete Hegseth texted war plans to a reporter by accident

Info Hegseth shared with wife and brother came from top general's secure messages - It sounds like SecDef was lifting messages off of a secure network. This takes active work and manual effort from Hegseth itself.

Will Trump Supporters tolerate the Dow closing below 38,000?

Not just Biden, almost all of them. Presidents don’t go near messing with the economy, at least when things are going well.

Will Trump Supporters tolerate the Dow closing below 38,000?

Man what % of the American populace invested in some sort of stock or bond does this describe? Also wiping my out $12 trillion in market value is indefensible.

Kash Patel will be confirmed today!

Guys if you prosecute a Deep State operative or a jaywalker you still need evidence. Durham ran it up the flagpole & got shut out twice.

Also per WSJ - this is the worst S&P 500 performance post inauguration since 1928.

Will Trump Supporters tolerate the Dow closing below 38,000?

WSJ: The Dow is headed for its worst April since 1932.

Kristi Noem likes a good photo op

I can recall Louisiana Gov. Edwards for getting indicted for having a few thousand walking around money. And Congressman Bill Jefferson for having a few score thousand in his freezer.

Shocker. Such a man of the people. Anyone know what came of the not taxes on tips pledge?

Will Trump Supporters tolerate the Dow closing below 38,000?

Guys your portfolio is fine & mine is too. But there’s no defending killing $12 trillion worth of market value because of one’s man’s ignorance & thirst for power.

Nancy Mace being less than cordial, convivial, and gracious

These are people who want to be on TV, sell books & gain social media followers. They do not want to legislate. 100% safe district means no consequences.

    Stock Market- Will Rebound

The biggest joke - really it's a sick joke - is that the banging on about Musk's faux department's savings and the cutting of the trade deficit is that the bond yield fluctuations may cost the government another Trillion $$$$ in debt load. The whole thing is a massive waste of time and extremely costly, even if we do manage to get out of this with minor damage.

Yeah, that is odd. Odder still, how does someone with a cabinet level secret service detail get robbed.

Now rumors are that Hegseth was errr sloshed at the Egg Roll. The Trump long knives are out. Expect a new SOD soonishly...

Trump defies the courts, Sends migrants to El Sal Prison

I made a standalone post responding to comments further up about Awlaki, you responded to me, I responded to you. I'm guessing you and I agree on it. You also commented on the Yemeni strikes and I agreed on that too when it comes to collateral damage. We appear to be on the same page. Cheers.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia & Trump El Salvador deportations thread.

I'm sorry, are you telling me the DOJ and ICE are aware of Ms-13 gang members and are doing nothing to arrest them? I disagree. MS-13 is designated as an international criminal organization, it was well before Trump. If you're in it you're getting busted. The things you list are pointless. The restraining order is a state matter and if he was driving aliens up... then the Feds bust the caravan. The only thing that matters is that in 2019 a federal judge released Garcia and that is the standing order, one that the Trump administration did not appeal. Right now the Feds are in violation of that 2019 order.
