Hitler didn’t murder millions of people, public sector workers did
SaintsInDome2006 replied to MDC's topic in The Geek Club
This notion that people in power don't actually yaknow kill people is ludicrous. And I don't think such a context helps at all. He's making the false rhetorical claim that government is murderous and destructive in and of itself, without distinguishing one form of government from another. All this from a guy who is one of the biggest government contractors in the world and who is seeking to gain even more control via even more contracting. -

Strictly in my opinion, a logical adult would express that in some other way than the way he did. Regardless of the basis of your point, even you express it ably while Musk does not. We have to imagine an Elon Musk who is somehow sloppy in his words or not a fully literate person. The man can obviously express thought the way he intends. -

Ok, I took it as he meant a specific incident. -

That's interesting, because when Musk says "Hitler didn't murder millions of people" it sounds like Musk is saying Hitler didn't murder millions of people. -

Maybe you’re speaking of the bomb threats against Justice Barrett & her sister here,, I don’t know. -

Tim, you are reaching out to be diplomatic and rational way, way too far here. Musk is equating federal employees with Nazi death camp guards and genocidal psychopaths, and Musk is absolving Hitler. It's mass disinformation and a sick attempt to engender hatred of federal, state and city workers of all kinds. -

I don't think Trump was talking about driving as president, I don't think he can drive at all.
-
not everything is OMB OMB has historically been one of the major drivers of government accountability, the neutering of its independence & handing everything over to one of the country’s biggest contractors is crazy in its own right. But I agree OMB really doesn't have anything to do with Trump driving.
-
We, all of us, this country, put a man who cannot drive in charge of nuclear codes to controlling the economy & our historic legacy.
-
Trump declaring yesterday that he can’t drive & he’s not allowed to drive would’ve driven Maga through the roof if Biden had said it.

So today while doing a promotional spot for Tesla using the White House as a prop in a commercial, Trump revealed he can’t even drive a car. We did this.

Its amusing how Ukraine supposedly has no cards but keeps calling Trump’s bluffs. Russia agreed to a cease fire in 2019 under Trump that Trump didn’t even remember when it was brought up directly in person.

>Ford stated that Lutnick offered an "olive branch" and offered a meeting in Washington< Its amusing how Trump does dysfunctional, damaging things then the normals in his administration have to deal with it. But good for Lutnick. -

It's so odd to me. Economically the US had the strongest post Covid economy in the world. Now we're staring at a recession 100% solely caused by our leadership. -

If this whole premise is Trump is the drunk uncle losing his mind - again, at our invitation - and he'll be escorted out the party soon enough, great, I'm all for it. -
That's interesting, that's what the liberal USSC said about Obama's health insurance mandate.

It is a hill we all die on, I'll say that. Along with several other hills, manufacturing, technology, supply chain, agriculture, on and on. Go check out the subsidies Trump paid out just as to agricultural tariffs vs China in the 1st term, and add that up with every sector. -

This is a little like a right handed man telling the doctor to take off his left hand because yaknow he just doesn't need it. That aside: Canadians have fought with us at D-Day, their remains are scattered across northern France and Passchendaele, they had 200 casualties in Afghanistan, all fighting for us, as our brothers. They also beat us in 1812 and in the French-Indian Wars. These are people you want fighting with us. -
It was a subsidy, if mandates are socialistic then right alongside that are subsidies.

Probably because discussions about poultry virus control and domestic agricultural markets is something people don't pay attention to unless they absolutely have to. It's entirely possible that American egg sellers are selling far fewer eggs, so prices have cratered.
