so if it turns out china did create virus
SaintsInDome2006 replied to porkbutt's topic in The Geek Club
“What all of the sources agree about is the extensive cover-up of data and information about COVID-19 orchestrated by the Chinese government.” Wow, Trump is meeting with Xi right now. Do you think he will confront him about this? Man this should be good. Should we end trade wuth China? They committed a bio-attack against the US, that’s an act of war. Trump won’t tolerate that will he? -
Anyone seen Erika Frantzve Kirk yet? In a bikini, I mean (whoobaby). But seriously the TPUSA thing is going to die out if she’s the tip of the spear. She’s not much of a speaker. Very hot & now rich but she can’t do Kirk’s shtick where he posed as an autodidact & took all comers (including far right wingers btw). I’m not sure how much endurance she has.

DEI is alive and well. Noem, Pirro, Bondi, Halligan.
-
Trump even has Pirro on the job. Maybe she’s a super double-secret Deep Stater installed to protect the Dummocrats!
-
Team Maga can we get an update here?
-
Where are Patel, Bongino, Martin & Bondi on this? Does the cover up continue?
-
Wow, good question!

It was changed after Weinstein’s conviction was overturned. Weinstein was a notorious Democratic megadonor. - eta - also “ Paulin said 16 other states have similar laws, as does the federal government.”

I agree with this. IMO the NYC voters are also reacting against Adams (indicted, corrupt) & Cuomo (party figure, sex scandal coverup, arrogant). It’s populism.

DOJ places on leave 2 prosecutors who said 'mob of rioters' carried out Jan. 6 attack

I think 2 paragraphs using language twice that Republican politicians were using as late as 2024 was as light as rationally possible. Having said that he’s already served some time. Not as much time as maga would demand about a foiled assassination-plotter of Trump but still he’ll probably get off wuth time served, planned car bomb, guns, machete & backup ammo aside. -
We’re never getting this back.

Looks like the US bent the knee. Humiliating & self-damaging.

Department of Justice opens criminal investigation into NY AG Letitia James

There’s a whole slew of politicians who have never had an investigation or given need for one. -

Yes, but the temptation of big money & power can be overwhelming. That’s why it’s good to support people who promote campaign finance reform & a healthy, independent DA/AG office. -

They were prosecuting someone who plotted a car bomb, and use of guns, in an assassination of an ex-president. Also pardoned by Trump. -
Department of Justice opens criminal investigation into NY AG Letitia James

This would be really embarrassing. For one thing she did the grand jury all by herself, which is a major screwup because it means no one was left to represent the case’s course in the grand jury. If she screwed up actually accomplishing the indictment that’s as bad as it gets, unless of course she misrepresented facts in the proceeding, which would actually be worse for her personally. -

In an important procedural move the prosecutor handling the James case had to be told how to fill out a pdf. - Guy couldnt even appear for the DOJ. -

Halligan had to go to Missouri to find a prosecutor for the James case. >> As the Department of Justice prosecutes New York attorney general Letitia James in Virginia, a Missouri man is playing a key role: Roger Keller, a federal prosecutor in St. Louis, is bringing the case on behalf of the government. Keller entered into the case last Wednesday. The 58-year-old St. Charles County resident has been a longtime federal prosecutor working out of the St. Louis office, primarily handling civil cases. A former colleague of Keller’s describes him as “outspokenly conservative, an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump.” He was known to occasionally sport a red Make America Great Again hat outside of work. …James appeared for her arraignment on Friday. Keller handled most of the business for the prosecution, with Halligan on hand as well. That hearing, covered on blogs that follow legal minutia, contained some “polite discord” between Keller and James’ defense counsel, as well as the judge, about long how the government anticipated the eventual trial would take, the number of witnesses they planned to call, and prosecutors not being able to turn over any evidence to defense attorneys right away. … James’ prosecution is something of a departure for Keller. While he’s entered appearances in hundreds of cases in Eastern Missouri, a review of the 10 cases filed since the start of 2024 are all civil matters. Relatively recent entries include defending the federal government in a lawsuit brought by a woman who said she was hit by a postal truck, by a man who said he was hit by a postal truck and a Department of Veteran Affairs employee who claimed her free speech rights were violated when she was told not to talk about alleged fungus coming out of the air vents at her workplace. << -
Federal judge rules U.S. attorney in California has been 'unlawfully serving' in role — Judge J. Michael Seabright found that Trump appointee Bilal Essayli unlawfully assumed the post after resigning in July as interim U.S. attorney for the Central District of California. This is influential to the Comey/James cases in that Trump has been emotionally replacing US Attorneys on the slightest whim. Halligan got “appointed” the same way.

Iirc Weinstein was a prominent Dem donor who got brought down by the extension of sol. And really imo getting Epstein & Maxwell made it worth it almost on its own.
-
You’re saying NY changed the law after Trump was charged? Or do you mean changing the law after people had already escaped the Sol was unfair generally? Nine states did this not just NY.

>>Every politician who is investigated by the Feds denounces his prosecutor. Nothing new here…<< Yep every criminal defendant, convict & ex-con from Schenectady to Honolulu says the exact same thing.

DOJ places on leave 2 prosecutors who said 'mob of rioters' carried out Jan. 6 attack

>>…The two prosecutors, Carlos Valdivia and Samuel White, were locked out of their government devices and informed Wednesday morning they will be placed on leave, just hours after they filed a sentencing memorandum in the case of Taylor Taranto, the sources said. Taranto was pardoned by President Donald Trump over his involvement in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol but faced a separate conviction for firearms and threat charges related to a June 2023 arrest near the home of former President Barack Obama where he was found in possession of two guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, as well as a machete. A day before Taranto's arrest, he claimed he would use a car bomb to drive into the National Institute of Standards and Technology. In their sentencing memorandum, Valdivia and White used only two sentences to detail Taranto's involvement in the Jan. 6 attack. On January 6, 2021, thousands of people comprising a mob of rioters attacked the U.S. Capitol while a joint session of Congress met to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election," the memorandum said. "Taranto was accused of participating in the riot in Washington, D.C., by entering the U.S. Capitol Building. After the riot, Taranto returned to his home in the State of Washington, where he promoted conspiracytheories about the events of January 6, 2021." ..<< -
Trump should have the option to serve 2 more terms as president if he wants it.
SaintsInDome2006 replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
Well we have lower age limitations on the presidency & we have state level term limitations. I know some states also have age limits on judges. And there are some extreme examples, like Thurmond who was past 100 & Feinstein. -
