A very good explanation IMO. - Nihilism is at the root here. - @timschochetFYI.

Trump skips the Kirk memorial to go golfing.

Brian Kilmeade on Fox endorses euthanizing homeless and mentally ill people with "Involuntary lethal injection"

Golly why do those leftists keep throwing that ‘fascist’ word around. -
Fair point. I’ll go with the latter.
-
Laura Loomer & Nick Fuentes were two in the right who specifically went after Kirk. - Did you look at the video Raiders posted, where Kirk was debating the gay conservative?
-
It could be pretty twisted. Maybe he hates himself, who knows. He’s not cooperating & the state of Utah & the Fed’s still haven’t filed charges yet. But Kirk definitely had people on the far right who hated him. And yes maybe the guy is a far left trans loonie but that is not remotely the only possibility.
-
Because people in the left & right didn’t pay much attention to Kirk until this happened. Most Americans had no clue who he was, it’s someone political junkies knew.
-
Dan Bongino is Dep. Director FBI, also like Kirk a podcaster. - Yes considering the gay thing is being described as a motive yes they’d have to delve into exactly that. Kirk was very much in favor of young gay conservative men openly joining the party. He made no qualms about it even while he was constantly extolling the benefits of traditional marriage.
-
Eh hardly. I got to catch some Bongino & Patel this am, neither came close to anything like that. Ok I guess this is is more poor reasoning. Kirk was to the left of you, he was pretty much about freak flags flying high. That certainly didn’t annoy the *left.
-
Right, often gamers. People like Fuentes & Loomer & people who follow them hated Kirk.
-
They were pretty prevalent at FBGs. Remember the Pepe the Frog memes?
-
My view on DEI is pretty conservative. It changes traditional civil rights & affirmative action, which was about equality of treatment, to a drive for equity, which means parity of results, & I don’t agree with that. But it’s also conservative to say that if a company or agency thinks it’s good marketing & plain good for business let them be whoever they want to be in terms of how they present themselves to the public. If it’s good for business then do it. That doesn’t allow them to treat people unfairly or discriminate based on race or anything else.
-
I’m confused. OMB constantly talks about how he’s the most persecuted president in history. A good deal of maga is about how people with certain views are mistreated, ignored, treated as “deplorables.” Deep State, virus hoax, Russia hoax, Epstein hoax, fake news, on & on. The whole thing is grievance.
-
The juxtaposition of what you say in the midst of Kirk welcoming all while also extolling him is pretty jarring. Gosh why would a right wing extremist hate Kirk, who engaged young gay men, while exclaiming “gay/trans = violent leftist.”
-
A sad fact - Kirk had enemies on the far right. It’s true, he was hated & reviled as a traitor, and that was because of the Israel stance but also look at that clip by Raiders above. How do you think that clip flies with extreme evangelicals?
-
I don’t think we’ve gotten that exactly. We’ve gotten reports he had become “political” but also distanced himself any time a political conversation came up. Kid was a gamer.
-
Also a head scratcher - maybe someone could be conservative - or apolitical - & a Mormon and argue Kirk’s message was hateful? Lots of assuming here. Also - he’s Mormon. The Mormons were distinctly ***NOT part of the “Christian foundations of the nation” Kirk used to like to go on about, which btw comes from pop conservatism, not actual history. If you think Mormons are on board with all that they are not. Utah has had 3rd party conservative campaigns do quite well vs Trump & Mike Lee since 2016.
-
So why the emphasis on his orientation & that of his maybe roommate.
-
Fwiw this is a young gay conservative guy & then Kirk says welcome. Which is laudable. However by the same token there is this whole premise about Robinson being gay (unknown but FTSOA) & had a gay roommate, & is automatically an extremist leftist, & therefore that equals motive, basis for hate of Kirk & maga, when obviously - per Kirk - thats a false presumption.
-
Ok per Gov. Cox, he lived with his parents. The apartment was a suite of 3-4 people. And even *if he was a fur-wearing gay guy with a special transitioning fella he could *still be conservative & maga supporting. Oh yes. Look at the embrace of Bruce Jenner. Is Jenner maga? Check. Is Jenner Republican? Yup. Is Jenner living with a boygirl? Yeppers. Does Jenner love Trump & Trump love Jenner? You betcha. The whole premise is fallacious.
-
Debate ideas, not people. - Charlie Kirk I take it you agree with this.

Murderer is white normal looking kid from thoroughly conservative background, Mormon, has a pastor, turned himself in after talking to his father (27 year law enforcement officer & also a minister), knows how to handle a gun, not exposed to liberal university culture. <pause> Maga: wait!

Elon says that Trump is in the Epstein files.

Just a reminder this already happened. Trump was deposed, testified at trial, faced his accuser, presented evidence in his defense and lost. In fact his defense attorney - who is still handling his appeals from the judgement against him as his private attorney - also interviewed Maxwell as his DOJ appointee and arranged for a favorable improvement of her incarceration conditions. -
It’s deranged to think 300 million people died of drugs last year.

Domestic Muslim Terrorists try to blow up Fox 13 Utah truck
SaintsInDome2006 replied to jerryskids's topic in The Geek Club
We just had a domestic terrorist assassinate a major political figure. Maybe something should be done to prevent domestic terrorists from obtaining certain types of guns.
